	Inner Work 289: Akashic Records Case Studies - Connecting to the Field of Quantum Healing and Divine Consciousness	18 Sep 2026	00:26:29
No two people experience the Akashic Records the same exact way. Even the same person accessing the Records on two different occasions will likely have two different experiences. The Akashic Records will ALWAYS provide you with whatever you most need to heal, see, understand, feel, or know. The Records will orchestrate the most relevant, useful, meaningful, and necessary experience for you, every single time you journey there. To illustrate this point, I'm sharing two real case studies in this episode of INNER WORK: one of my very first openings of the Records back in 2004, and a recent opening from one of my Akashic Records Certification students. These openings are completely different experiences, and both are completely valid. In my 2004 opening, I found myself standing before massive, ancient wooden doors — carved, alive, waiting. What came through was a flood of light, a sense of homecoming, and a guide I hadn't met before: a Wizard-like figure who turned out to be one of my own Guides (a "Master") in the Records. There was a forehead-to-forehead energy exchange, a merging of light, and a wave of unconditional Love unlike anything I'd felt before. My student's experience was nothing like that. She went in with no agenda, just practicing surrender. What she got wasn't visions or grand revelations — instead, she initially came up against frustration, self-judgment, and the fear of disappointment... all common patterns she had been carrying in her life previously. The Records brought these up so she could fully feel them, see them for what they were, and then release them through an overwhelming wave of self-compassion that showed up as warmth, an orb of light, some tears, and colors swirling in her heart. Her healing was quieter, internal, and just as profound. The Akashic Records don't work off a script or specific expectations of what "should" happen when you connect. Sometimes you'll see things. Sometimes you'll hear things. Sometimes you'll just FEEL: a sensation, an emotion, a knowing. Sometimes "nothing" seems to happen at all, other than a deep silence... because that's the exact medicine you needed that day. Staying open to this vast range of possibilities is a key practice and the best way to receive what you MOST need from the Records, every single time. As you heal and continue awakening on your spiritual path, you'll often start doing things like: showing up as authentically yourself in the world, setting healthier boundaries, and saying NO instead of compulsively saying YES to things you don't really want to do. You'll also start outgrowing certain people, places, relationships, and situations. As you do all of this, some people will... freak out. Or react defensively. Or take it as a personal rejection. Or minimize the value of what you're doing. Or just not understand. Unconsciously, people might try to sabotage your healing and keep you from growing. Let's talk about WHY this happens, HOW it can show up, and what you can do to keep healing anyway. 	Inner Work 263: 3 Mindset Shifts to Overcome Imposter Syndrome	07 Feb 2026	00:13:40
Do you struggle with imposter syndrome? This syndrome has been defined as a "persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately earned as a result of one's own efforts, talents, skills, or gifts." I would also describe imposter syndrome as an ongoing feeling or belief that you're inadequate, not worthy, not good enough, and/or a "fraud" who's about to be find out. Living with this kind of belief or negative undercurrent in your life can be painful. It can be paralyzing. It can keep you hidden away and playing small to avoid potential rejection, criticism, or judgment. It also keeps you on edge, hypervigilant, anxious about how others are evaluating your performance or presence in the world... or evaluating your very worth and value as a person. I can relate, because I struggled with imposter syndrome most of my adult life. It first reared its ugly head during my academic career many years ago, and stayed with me as I transitioned out of academia to do full-time spiritual work. (Building a business from scratch - with NO business training or skills whatsoever! - and stepping out of the "spiritual closet" to do this work were not easy... I made many mistakes... which only fueled the already-existing imposter syndrome.) Through a lot of inner work, especially in the Akashic Records, I've been able to shift my relationship to imposter syndrome to a degree where it no longer holds me back. It doesn't derail or prevent me from doing my work in the world, or showing up online, or teaching, or being vulnerable with others. And, just as important, it no longer keeps me from ENJOYING my work fully! Based on my own struggles and what I've found helps, I want to offer you 3 powerful mindset reframes in this episode of INNER WORK that will hopefully support you in moving beyond imposter syndrome as well. Understanding how our ego selves operate (as opposed to what it feels like when we're aligned with our Higher Selves) is ESSENTIAL on the path of spiritual growth and evolution. Being spiritual doesn't mean we have to be ZEN all the time. (Thank God!) You don't have to be a doormat - or an emotionless robot - to be a deeply spiritual, evolved, awakened human. At the end of the day, spirituality can look a LOT of different ways, and you have to find your own unique expression of spirituality that feels aligned and true to YOU.
