Welcome! Are you in a moment of change right now? Maybe you're facing some depressing stuff. Either way, you can trust God has hope for you.
This testimony is all about hope and how to have joy in hope even while the worst is happening. HEADS UP-- about halfway through recording this, I interrupted recording it to go and help my youngest son who was in a life or death situation (#dadlife). I had a lot of joy knowing he was okay and that God was with us to help with that.
GOD HAS A FUTURE FOR YOU THAT IS BRIGHT AND FULL OF HOPE! Never give up! I'd encourage you to share this with someone you think could be encouraged by it.

Ever pondered why 'choose joy' feels like a vacuous, Instagram slogan rather than a life-changing mantra? Join us as we navigate the sincere essence of choosing joy. Ditching the cliché, we dissect what it genuinely means to choose joy, going beyond fleeting happiness to discover a wellspring of strength, resilience, and integrity. We touch on the constraints of individualism, drawing from the book of Nehemiah, and how it impacts our journey to embody joy in our daily lives.
Surviving isn't just about gritting our teeth and pushing through, it's about finding joy in the midst of the storm. Amidst the trials of life, we can anchor ourselves in the solid truth that God's intention for us is good. With Noah, we explore how to bravely say 'yes' to God's plans, even when it seems like the hardest choice.
Remember, Jesus loves you, life is worth living, and your joy is yours to find, choose, and live.

Do you feel protected by God? Maybe you do, or perhaps you feel a little ripped off. Like, come on God, where's your protection lately? Whatever your experience now or in the past, God assures us of His protection when we seek Him. But, what does that protection look like, and how do we receive it?
What comes to your mind when you think of surrender? Folding in poker? Forfeiting a game of chess? France in WWII? Whatever you think of, surrender almost always involves the irrevocable devotion of something. To surrender is to give up, to totally render something to another.
But how does that connect with the topic of surrendering to Christ? How does that carry over? Today on the podcast we're focusing on surrender as TRUSTING and OBEYING, resulting in our lives gradually belonging totally to God.
When you hear "power of Christ," it may draw your mind to the 1973 horror film "The Exorcist." "The power of Christ compels you" since became an iconic reference. Although the power of Christ is compelling, and (unlike its portrayal in the aforementioned film) effective, there is a lot more to know about the power of Christ than what is displayed in culture.
Today, we dive into Scripture to look at the word power, and look at some examples of how Jesus used His power. We also look into how to tap into His power for every day living, and extraordinary action.
Ever struggle with believing you're loved? How do you know God's love is secure?
Paul's letters offer some solid assurance that God's love for us is secure. How can we stay in the truth of God's love for us, and let that shape our interpretations of life's mistakes and mishaps? We trust in the love God has for us, and find hope.
If you died tomorrow, would you say you lived with no regrets? That your life stayed on the right trajectory? That you have full confidence you lived the life you were meant for?
That's what we explore in this message, preached at New Hope Community Church in Moncton, NB, Canada.
Whether it's playing soccer, or having a thriving relationship with God, we do ourselves good when we get back to basics. What are the fundamentals of life with God that we need to be reminded of all the time? What truths help ground us in God when all else is crumbling? Listen in and let's talk about it!
You've probably heard the phrase "live your best life." But how do we actually do that? Is it possible to "live your best life" as a Christian, and if so, what are the steps to get there? What does that even mean?
Today we talk about the first step towards your best life, and what it looks like to live it!

Embark on a journey with me, Noah James Wiebe, as we explore the essence of true bravery. In today's episode, we hear a talk from the book of Joshua-- the moment before leading the Israelites to the Promised Land, a story that serves as our guide for confronting fear and making decisions grounded in faith. This isn't just a history lesson; it's a personal invitation to each listener to draw parallels with their own life struggles and to choose courage over comfort, leaning into the transformative strength that comes from unwavering faith.
Share your thoughts and prayer requests on Instagram, and stay tuned for our ongoing conversation about living fully in Christ's rest.
Be sure to check out PART 1 of this episode to get this whole conversation, because it is rich!
This episode further entwines the threads of faith and joy, with the addition of Dr. Greene's insights on the Christian perspective of true happiness. Together, we ponder the Sermon on the Mount, how pride keeps us from a joy-filled life, and how to trust Jesus with your life, embracing the notion that real joy can emerge from the midst of life's challenges.
Have you ever felt a profound joy bubbling up from within, in moments of quiet surrender to something greater than yourself? That's the theme that Dr. Merrill Greene and I, Noah, explore in our latest episode. Merrill, with infectious enthusiasm, recounts his journey from a nominal Christian to a man with an insatiable thirst for Christ. Together, we explore a view of how surrender to God's leading can lead to life-changing joy.
This episode isn't just about joy—it's about the surprising ways that joy intertwines with sacrifice, and how this paradox is at the core of Christian faith. Drawing inspiration from biblical figures like Hannah, to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus, we reflect on the profound happiness that comes from giving of oneself. Merrill and I ponder the power of intentionality in our worship and obedience, imagining a spiritual journey enriched by the choice to infuse sacrifice with joy and love. This conversation is full of insight into finding the extraordinary in our ordinary lives, and how embracing our God-given identity can lead us to the deepest wellsprings of joy.
But this isn't even where things got good! Tune in for part 2 next time on the In Rest Podcast.
