“Deconstruction” has become pop-culture, or mainstream, in many ways. It seems like everyone everywhere is “deconstructing their faith.” And if you ask me, I say, “Rightly so!” But, as a biblical researcher myself, I see a *nuance* missing from nearly every major discussion and discussor of the subject: the nuance of *consistency.* Simply, there is a sloppiness when it comes to *how* we-who-are-deconstructing-our-faith are approaching the Text to arrive at our alternate conclusions. BUT, with a little guidance, I know we can do this smarter, faster, and experience less trauma in the process!
