Wende expanded her business to include Comedy Works Entertainment, a concert promotion and talent management division, which has promoted such acts as Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, and Brian Regan. Wende was honored with the Denver Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in Business.

She plays a recurring role in Steven Soderbergh’s new comedy series “Now Apocalypse.” Her acting, writing, and stand-up have been featured on Late Night with Lilly Singh, This Giant Beast, Lifetime, TruTV, Adult Swim, BuzzFeed, The New Yorker, Elizabeth Banks’ WhoHaha, and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls. Avra is also the co-host and co-creator of All My Single Friends.
