This week on If You Have Ghosts You Have Everything.....

My Distillers Talk co-host Christi Atkinson was kind enough to set up a Zoom call with our friend Jack Beguedou to talk about the spirituality that Jack grew up with.  This episode serves as an introduction to some of these beliefs prior to our second episode with Jack going into more personal experiences which will premiere on November the 1'st this year and is an absolutely beautiful and intimate episode that I cannot wait for you you all to hear.  In todays episode I had a bit of an audio issue on my end as Zoom was not picking up on my sound equipment and as such was recording from my computer microphone, from time to time as I speak you will hear my computer fan kick in, for that I am sorry as no amount of E.Q. or noise reduction was able to remove it from the audio.  None the less, this episode is absolutely worth the bother as Jack gives us some fantastic insight into his culture and Christi and I are able to confirm some crossover beliefs from our ancestral past as well.

This week we hung out in the tiny bedroom studio with Jeremy Elliott of the Washington County Historical Society, John Hay Center, and Stephens Museum in Salem Indiana to talk about a couple of history based Washington County, Indiana based ghost stories and touch on the incredibly haunted house he lives in that serves as an overflow storage area for museum artifacts including historic clothing, a cooling board from the county asylum, and two coffins, one gently used!  Be sure to check out the complex on social media as well or visit when you are in town as there is a ton to see including the newly restored John Hay Homeplace and pioneer village!  This turned out to be one of my favorite episodes so far, and to boot we got it done early so it's dropping a couple days early right in time for the weekend!  Enjoy!

On this weeks episode of IYHGYHE...

We spend the week traveling and dealing with a bit of an existential crisis.  We didn't let that stop us from recording an episode however as we simply grabbed our new Tascam DR-05 mobile recorder and grabbed some fun "field recordings" with some of our favorite people.  There is no over-arching narrative this week, just several individual stories regarding Tulpas, Distillery Ghosts, Haunted Facilities and more.  These aren't the "best" recordings ever made but that is what makes them fun and interesting!  You will hear in addition to the stories; forklifts, things being dropped at the distillery, and the "white noise of the cave spring at Spring Mill State Park.  These stories are special because they come from a group of my favorite people, Justin Whaley, Tiffany Whaley, Stephen McNeely, and Brian Cushing.  We did have to drop a UFO story from my dad Ol' Dale Bishop as there was too much interference from the road while driving but his segment will be re-recorded in studio for our IYHGYHE/A Highly Spirited Podcast crossover with Stephanie McNew shortly.  We will try to make one episode per season a "field recordings" episode as this turned out to be more fun than I figured!  Enjoy!

In this weeks episode we dive deep into the historical lifetime accounts and post-humous reports of a mysterious and seemingly forever youthful Alchemist known as the Count of St. Germain.  A true recollection of all of the events attributed to the Count would take many hours and episodes and indeed you can find many books, shows, movies, podcasts and more out there related to the Count.  Here we try to give a good overview of what makes the story so intriguing.  From immortal potential vampire, to Alchemy, to a spy with connections to a potential shadow government, it's all here.  Before you dive in, bare in mind that a few things effect this episode a bit; 1. I am way to Southern Indiana to properly pronounce many of these names.  2. These week was a little rough having Covid while recording so my voice and more can be a little "froggy" from time to time.  3.  We switched to new audio software I am still figuring out and in the conversation at the end with Kimberly there is a point where she makes a Gargamel joke that it sounds like I completely "no sold", I didn't I was in the middle of a coughing fit and had to edit it out.

On this weeks episode of If You Have Ghosts.....

Alan and Kim bring the spirits and spiritual into full focus as we delve into haunted distilleries with an exposition piece covering distilleries the world over and we break down some experiences that were had first hand at both Copper & Kings American Brandy Company using divining rods and at Spirits Of French Lick which is actively haunted by a specter of some sort!

We end the episode with a bonus segment, our first live field recording made at Becks Mill in Washington County Indiana with Judy Quinlin discussing some of the paranormal happenings around this historic grist mill which was first settled by the Beck family in the early 1800's with the current mill being constructed in 1882!  As notated in the show we had some very strange interference show up in this field recording that we can't explain and which we have left in the audio for you to decide.  For us it's a bit of a bonus to have a potential fourth presence on a recording where we expected only three so be sure you stay tuned for that.

It's great to be back hosting Season 5 of If You Have Ghosts You Have Everything, and right in time for our two year anniversary at that. This show has been a true labor of love for Kim and I.
