Join Ray, Steve, and Producer Tim as they conclude their deep-dive analysis of Operation: Mindcrime. The discussion then turns to the impossible task of ranking the tracks and the not-nearly-as-hard task of ranking the album in the Queensrÿche catalog.

Episode 26: Operation: Mindcrime Part One
lundi 19 août 2024 • Duration 02:07:52
Hey, I Remember Now: The Queensrÿche Podcast listeners…are you ready for Operation: Mindcrime?? Ray and Steve decided it was finally time to tackle the monster 1988 Queensrÿche concept album on this new episode!
It’s been a long time coming, and they’ve put it off for months, but the guys finally got it on the schedule. Due to the importance of this album in Queensrÿche history, it deserves at least a two-part episode. Part One delves into their personal histories with the album, a discussion on the cover jacket, the history of the record, and the beginning of the track-by-track breakdown and analysis of the classic story of Nikki, Sister Mary, Father William, and, of course, Dr. X!
For a task this big, the guys welcome a very special guest to co-host the show and join the festivities. Who is it? Tune in to find out! Plus, some great calls from the listeners, including one from a bonafide rock star!

Episode 15: Digital Noise Alliance – One Year Later
mardi 17 octobre 2023 • Duration 02:35:34
Ray and Steve welcome frequent caller Logan to the show as a special guest co-host for the topic: Digital Noise Alliance – One Year Later.
We met Logan when we asked for “young” Queensrÿche fans to get in touch with the show, and Logan fit the bill!
At twenty-three years old, his favorite band has been Queensrÿche since he was nineteen. He considers DNA to be “his generation’s” Queensrÿche album.
We give DNA a full, track-by-track analysis, rank the songs and the album versus the other albums we’ve reviewed.
How have opinions changed over the past year? Do the hosts like DNA the same, much more, or less than they did in 2022?
How do the opinions of a young fan compare to two old farts like Ray and Steve? Join us to find out!
Plus:
- A lot of feedback on our last Frequency Unknown episode.
- Calls from Producer Tim and Jim from Irwin!
