The finale is here. And Syd is being super positive, which is very unlike her. But she’s definitely ecstatic because it’s finally Homecoming, and she’s going with Dina! Syd dresses up in a gorgeous dress and has a very cute moment with her mother, who she now seems to be really getting along with. Dina arrives and they head to the dance! While Stan is a bit bummed out that he can’t go to the school dance with Syd, he run into her there. When they arrive, things seem to be going great. But things go south rather quickly. Bradley Lewis, who is clearly intoxicated and has Syd’s diary, steals the microphone while the Homecoming King is giving his speech and goes on an extremely mean tirade about how Syd is a ‘dyke’ and how she’s completely in love with Dina. While Bradley is about to expose Syd in front of the entire school for having super powers, Syd has a flashback to all of the moments she used her power and out of nowhere..... makes Bradley’s head LITERALLY explode. The whole school runs off in panic and the season ends with the now bloody Syd meeting an unknown man. But who exactly is this mysterious figure? Tune into Season 2 to find out. In this episode, we see Sydney super tense as she sits with Stanley watching the stolen footage of the completely wrecked library. She is completely freaking out and to make matters worse, Bradley Lewis comes at her extremely aggressively and corners her against her locker, basically threatening her to keep her mouth shut. Unfortunately, things don’t get better for Syd from here. Her brother, Liam, comes home super angry with her because he got punched in the face by the bully who Syd confronted previously. Syd goes to see her counselor and the lady says Syd is still grieving over her father’s death. So what does she do? She goes home and searches through the basement in hopes of finding closure. She finds a box with her father’s marine uniform and her mother explains that her father basically had PTSD, which is why he took his own life. The scene opens up with the continuation, of Sydney basically uprooting all the trees around her with one simple scream...who is there to witness, yet again another Sydney blow up....OUR BOY STANLEY!! Stanley gets called a very derogatory word used to shame gay people (Fa!!$%), by his drunk dad (what a loser). Sydney’s mom confesses how Sydney has always took the dads side, even when the dad was alive. Liam makes his “Liams Loaded Lasagna” for Syd. Stanley evokes Sydney’s super powers at the bowling alley (where he could of gor really hurt or got killed). To the end where we see this “Grim reaper” like figure standing in the dark as Sydney is walking down this alley way. Then all of a sudden the black shadow body, disappears in the the dark as if he turned into dust and vanished into the air....WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN BROWNSVILLE, PA! We start off “episode 3” which I named it “High School Cliches” (because it has a ton of these moments) with Sydney’s (@sophialillis) little brother (Liam Novak - played by actor @officialaidanwojtakhissong) over hearing Syd speaking to Dina (@sofiabryantofficial) at her moms work, how Stanley (@wyattoleff) went “down” on her during their sexual experience together just the night before. Liam asked Sydney “Is Stanley going down somewhere?” Umm can you say AWKWARD! I do not want to be you right now Syd! We then see the fear of Sydney when she attempts to open the basement door (which is where her father killed himself) for the very first time since her dads death. When she enters the basement her anger gets to the point where her super powers kick in and she winds up killing her little brothers Hedgehog (which is upstairs btw) Sorry Liam, your sister is clearly going through some uncontrollable puberty right now! Yikes!) Dina...OH DINA! You have no idea whats about to happen tonight. Sydney asks to attend the “cool” party with Dina tonight to only be left all alone at this party where she is very uncomfortable, because Brad (the jock douche) shows up and guilt trips Dina into hanging out with him. Dina leaves Sydney. Hours later Sydney sees Dina in bedroom alone and lays next to her. They both have, (what we think is a moment) Sydney kisses her and then they both are in shock as to what just happened. Sydney leaves the party and comes across Stanley in this park by the house and gets asked to prom. As she leaves, she runs through the woods and crosses a road to where she almost gets hit my a car (which looks to be Stanley’s car) and continues to run into the woods. She then stops and as the rain is pouring down on her, she lets out this scream...and we now see her super powers have become stronger. Her scream uprooted a bunch of trees around her....Things just got HEAVY! After her bff, Dina ditches her for her jock, loser boyfriend, Sydney is forced to rely on her new friend Stanley for help. Stan and Sydney spend the afternoon together and Sydney soon realizes there is much more to Stanley Barber than she thought. Syd’s powers are becoming ever more apparent and almost worrisome. She can’t control them and the more upset she gets the more they come out. She is getting dangerously close to getting herself in a really sticky situation. In this episode, we meet Sydney, a 17 year old high school student who lives a pretty boring, yet challenging life. With her father having passed away and her family life being quite complicated, Syd is going through a difficult chapter. Thankfully, she has the support of her bubbly friend Dina, who is now dating the jock of the football team, Bradley Lewis (who Syd definitely hates). Syd also seems to have a new friendship with her dorky yet extremely friendly and lovable neighbor, Stanley, who took a quick liking to her. While her two friendships are positives. her issue is that she seems to not have complete control over her emotions. While in a diner with Dina and Bradley, Syd gets a bit jealous of her best friend’s new man who is taking her attention, and somehow causes his nose to bleed. This definitely freaks Syd out, but not as much as when she gets angry at her mother for being insensitive and causes a huge crack in her bedroom wall with her anger. Syd starts to realize that she has some very rare abilities, but has no idea why...
