Count the Cost 06 Dec 202400:15:05
  • Considering the Sacrifices: Following Jesus often requires giving up things that are valuable to us, such as comfort, wealth, relationships, and even personal desires. It means acknowledging that discipleship involves making personal sacrifices for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
  • Evaluating the Commitment: Discipleship is not a temporary or half-hearted commitment. Jesus calls His followers to take up their cross, meaning they must be prepared to face challenges, endure suffering, and make Him their priority above all else (Luke 9:23). Counting the cost means understanding that this is a lifelong, all-in commitment.
  • Understanding the Challenges: The Christian path is often described as narrow and difficult (Matthew 7:13-14). Following Jesus may lead to opposition, persecution, and hardships. Counting the cost means realizing that the road to eternal life is not easy, but it is worth it.
Everything I Need Has Already Been Met 22 Nov 202400:17:12

2 Peter 1:3 (NIV)"His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."

Evaluating the help God has already given us involves reflecting on His provisions, guidance, and the resources He has made available in our lives.

Assess Your Abilities: Look at the skills, talents, and passions that God has placed within you. These are tools He has already provided to help you fulfill your purpose and meet your needs

Scripture as a Resource: The Bible contains all the wisdom and principles needed to navigate life’s challenges. Reflect on how God’s Word has already provided the answers, direction, or encouragement you need.

Promises in Scripture: Revisit the promises in Scripture that affirm God’s provision and presence. Verses like Philippians 4:19 and Matthew 6:33 are constant reminders that God has already promised to provide what we need.

Pray for Wisdom: If you’re unsure of the ways God is helping you, ask Him for discernment. Pray for eyes to see how He is already working in your life and for wisdom to understand the blessings and provisions you have.

Letting Go of Control 15 Nov 202400:12:13

Surrender Your Plans

  • Proverbs 16:9: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” This verse reminds us that while we can make plans, it is ultimately God who directs our paths.
  • Pray Regularly: Make prayer a daily habit to express your worries and seek guidance.
  • Reflect on Scripture: Spend time meditating on verses that resonate with your struggles.
  • Practice Mindfulness: Engage in activities that help you stay present and reduce anxiety.
  • Seek Support: Talk to friends or a faith leader about your journey to let go of control.

Letting go is a process, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time.
