28 Days Later (2002)
Episode 339
mercredi 18 juin 2025 • Duration 02:05:10
Stash that Terry's Chocolate Orange and cover your damn eyes because we're discussing Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later just in time for its 23-years-later sequel!
Join us as we laud the film that popularized fast-moving zombies (yes, yes, we know they're "the infected") and kickstarted the sub-genre's resurgence in the aughts.
Plus: discussions of the film's aesthetic, Alex Garland's self-proclaimed "derivative script," male full frontal nudity, apocalyptic red flags, and *that* freeze frame.

Batman Forever (1995) feat. Kill By Kill
Episode 338
mercredi 11 juin 2025 • Duration 02:09:51
Black leather or green unitard? Whatever your costume of choice, we're wearing it in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever (1995).
Along for the ride are returning champions Kill By Kill, who help us to unpack all of the neon question marks we have about the film, including Two Face's slim backstory, the lack of Sugar and Spice, and whatever the hell Chris O'Donnell is doing.
Plus: high praise for Carrey, plugs for The Cable Guy, horny Dr. Chase, and the easiest Trolley Problem in cinematic history!

Murder Made Fiction: Ed Gein Primer
vendredi 11 octobre 2024 • Duration 11:27
If you listened to this week’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre episode, you know that Joe has joined forces with former guest Jenn Adams for a new true crime podcast that looks at fictionalized adaptations of real events: Murder Made Fiction.
Here's a sample of what you can expect of the Bloody FM pod, which has looked at Jeffrey Dahmer, Ed Gein, and will be looking at Jonestown, Waco and the Menendez brothers in the future.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) feat. Rachel Reeves
Episode 303
mercredi 9 octobre 2024 • Duration 02:04:10
Rev that chainsaw and break a window (or two) because we are celebrating Tobe Hooper's classic film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974).
Hitching a ride in the van is The Losers' Club and Halloweenies co-host Rachel Reeves, who offers invaluable insight into the sound design of the film.
Plus: defending Franklin, iconic shots, treating people as meat, Leatherface as matriarch, and a lot of screaming.
Oh, and if you want more Ed Gein backstory, check out Joe's other podcast: Murder Made Fiction!

Micro Queers: Inherit The Witch (2024)
lundi 7 octobre 2024 • Duration 12:24
Pop in that 1984 videocassette because we're checking out writer/director Cradeaux Alexander's Inherit The Witch (2024). Sadly we're not recommending this one.
Despite a few fun performances and an unexpected ending, the feuding family film is overly plotted, feels drawn out, and features some pretty dodgy acting. It's just not for us.

Gone Girl (2014)
Episode 302
mercredi 2 octobre 2024 • Duration 02:33:30
Check your red panty inventory and hide that bottle of Chardonnay because we're discussing David Fincher's exceptional adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestseller Gone Girl in the third week of our Anniversaries and Diva Worship theme. Be a "Cool Girl" and give us a listen!
Join us as we dig into the origins of Flynn's source novel before going all in on this 2.5-hour juggernaut of a film (and yet it flies by???). From Rosamund Pike's Oscar-nominated performance to the accusations of misogyny, there's no shortage of things to discuss in this densely plotted film.
Plus: Carrie Coon (and Missi Pyle!) worship, atrocious accent attempts, thoughts on the Outback Steakhouse, treasure hunts and world class vaginas.
