Radio 43 | Reform UK national director planned ‘physical resistance group’01 Oct 202500:05:42

Reform UK national director Adam Bounds tried to recruit members to a "physical resistance group" for "gorillas by night tactics" and promoted far-right and conspiracy theory content.

HOPE not hate has identified a now-deleted account on the messaging app Telegram as having belonged to Reform UK’s Adam Bounds.

After last year’s general election, Nigel Farage promised that “those ‘bad apples’ that have crept in will be gone”.

But Bounds is yet another so-called “bad apple” having worked for Farage’s party since the election.

"We all need to STEP UP" | HOPE not hate's Nick Lowles in conversation23 Sep 202500:25:00

Ahead of the release of his latest book, How to Defeat the Far Right, HOPE not hate CEO Nick Lowles sat down in London for a conversation with award-winning journalist Ros Wynne-Jones.

He talks about his 'origin story' and how he got involved with anti-racism and anti-fascism activism, through to the radicalisation of a young man during covid and just how the HOPE not Hate team identified one of the instigators of the  2025 Southport Riots.

He finishes off the chat by explaining why using a helicopter might not be the best way to reach communities.

Radio 43 | Inside Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom march15 Sep 202500:09:05

Organised by Stephen Lennon, aka Tommy Robinson, the "Unite the Kingdom" event attracted some of the most extreme figures in the British far right. Although the event was nominally concerned with “unity, boldness and truth”, it was marred by far-right campaigners expressing the belief that Britain is being invaded by Islam.

Radio 43 | The shocking social media activity of a Reform UK employee03 Sep 202500:06:59

While Reform UK wants to present itself as a respectable party, HOPE not hate can reveal that one of its staffers has promoted extreme far-right figures and racist views on social media.

“We are going to professionalise the party,” pledged Reform UK leader Nigel Farage after last July’s general election, in which his party stood racist, anti-Muslim and antisemitic candidates. “Those few ‘bad apples’ that have crept in will be gone, will be long gone and we will never have any of their type back in our organisation. You have a 100 percent promise on that.”

Alas, since then, numerous so-called “bad apples” have been selected as Reform candidates and some have been given senior positions in the party.

Marking another blow to Farage’s promise, HOPE not hate can reveal that Reform’s recently-appointed “donor manager”, James Catton, has a shocking history of promoting extreme and racist content on social media.

Radio 43 | Farage and co the silent majority? No chance.29 Aug 202500:07:15

On both social and traditional media it’s easy to find commentary claiming that Nigel Farage’s extreme deportations policy and the recent series of anti-migrant protests represent the will of the British people.

The lessons of the past two decades across Europe are clear. Social democratic parties that shift rightwards to head off a threat from the radical or far right end up losing. If Labour continues to try and occupy Reform’s space with ever more right-wing rhetoric on immigration and asylum seekers, this will only serve to legitimise Reform’s politics, increase their salience and ultimately boost its electoral success.

None of this is to downplay the very real danger currently posed by the far right. It is growing in both number and strength. We saw the horrifying power of the politics of hatred last year when Britain erupted in the most widespread period of far-right violence of the whole postwar period. Street protests are growing in number and Reform, a populist radical right party, is topping the latest polls.

However, it is possible to sound the alarm about its threat without simultaneously framing the far right as the voice of a “silent majority”. They are not, and doing so will only accelerate its rise.

Radio 43 | The split inside the Homeland Party14 Aug 202500:06:41

As sure as the rising sun, bitter public recriminations have once again broken out among the UK’s fascist fringe. A rebel faction in the Homeland Party, Britain’s largest fascist political party, has demanded the ejection of its fractious chairman Kenny Smith and led an exodus of the party membership.

Radio 43 | Reform UK's law and order hypocrisy06 Aug 202500:05:12

Is Reform UK as tough on crime as it claims to be, or are Nigel Farage and co hypocrites when it comes to just who is breaking the law?

If their own record is anything to go by, Reform will only crack down on their opponents and they will be happy to bend the law for their friends.

Radio 43 | Episode 59 | The riots one year on30 Jul 202500:07:02

One year ago, the horrific murders of Alice, Elsie and Bebe took place in Southport.

While many mourned, Britain’s far right twisted the tragedy, sparking the biggest outbreak of far-right rioting in post-war Britain.

Far-right actors seized the moment, spreading lies, stoking anger and unleashing seven days of unrest that left the country reeling.

We look at how it unfolded, and why the conditions that led to it still matter.

Radio 43 | Episode 58 | Reform can't make up their mind about solar16 Jul 202500:03:52

Reform UK has received millions of pounds in donations from climate deniers and fossil fuel sources, so it is not a surprise that Nigel Farage wants to make net zero the “next Brexit”.

Which makes it all a bit embarrassing that on Monday, two of Reform’s top councillors missed an important council date to discuss a new solar panel project.

Radio 43 | Episode 57 | Nigel Farage's first year report card03 Jul 202500:10:25

“Do I want to be an MP? Do I want to spend every Friday for the next five years in Clacton?” Thus spoke Nigel Farage in an interview with The Times in February 2024, about which the reporter wrote: “His expression suggests not.”

Just months later Farage joined Reform UK as leader and decided he did want to be a MP after all - even if he still wasn’t planning on spending much time in the constituency, Clacton-on-Sea, which elected him on 4 July 2024.

One year on from his election, Farage’s report card has come in. And it’s not looking good for the Reform UK leader…

Radio 43 | Episode 56 | Meet the Great British PAC23 Jun 202500:14:14

While the involvement of Lords, former MPs and councillors in the Great British PAC might give it a respectable appearance, HOPE not hate analysis shows the pressure group is packed with extremists, with thirteen members of its team having promoted far right views online, including one who shared pro-Hitler and antisemitic content and another who posted racist comments about the IQ of ethnic minorities.

Radio 43 | Episode 52 | Intelligence Report | Pessimism, Decline and a Rising Radical Right14 Mar 202400:40:51

HOPE not hate has today released its annual State of Hate report, titled ‘Pessimism, Decline and a Rising Radical Right’.

It is *the* go-to place for analysis of the far right, growing trends, fresh investigations and up-to-date profiles of all the key figures and groups. There’s nothing else out there like it.

On this episode of the podcast, Nick and Joe go over the broad takeaways from the report before having an in depth discussion on the topic of the growing Radical Right influence in the Conservative Party. This is an important story which reflects the growing toxicity in mainstream politics. The pair talk about where this group has come from, what it exists to achieve and how big an influence it, and its associated media environment, has on our politics.

To close, they touch on two other stories, the first is a new investigation into a member of the Patriotic Alternative splinter group, The Homeland Party, who is Chair of a Community Council near Dundee. The other is a disturbing article into the extremism of a far-right commentator named Steve Laws.

Both blogs are linked in the comments, and should be approached with caution.

Cheers,

  • A quick-fire round-up of news from across the far-right this year

The Dublin riots & the far-right in Ireland: how did we get here? - w/ historian and author, Pádraig Óg Ó Ruairc05 Dec 202300:58:51

On Thursday 23rd November, a 49-year-old Irish citizen, originally from Algeria but who had lived in Ireland for 20 years, committed a heinous knife attack on children at a primary school in Parnell Square East in Dublin.

Quickly, far-right and anti-migrant activists and agitators turned to social media, spreading a range of misinformation about the attack, including that the perpetrator was an illegal immigrant.

Within hours Dublin was ablaze, as rioters set police cars, buses and a tram alight and looted shops, causing over an estimated €10 million of damage.

But how did this happen? Is the Irish far-right larger and stronger than previously thought? And how do antifascists and Irish society more broadly respond to such a violent outburst?

To discuss this, and events in Dublin in more detail, we welcome the historian and author, Pádraig Óg Ó Ruairc, onto the podcast.

N.B. - During the course of the podcast, "The Diggers" are mentioned at one point. This ought to have been "The Levellers".

—

Pádraig has written several books on the Irish Civil War.

- Several are available through Mercier Press.
- Pádraig’s forthcoming book on political violence in Ireland (published Feb 2024) will be available through Merrion Press.

Radio 43 | Episode 50 | Intelligence Report | The far right remembers Britain's war dead the only way it knows how13 Nov 202300:31:03

On Armistice Day, 2000 far right activists and football hooligans descended on London under the guise of "defending" the Cenotaph from pro-Palestine demonstrators.

10 days ago, Britain's hooligan chat groups were filled with the usual discussion of football and beer. But they quickly mobilised as the (now former) Home Secretary Braverman branded  pro-Palestine demonstrations as "hate marches", and as the The Daily Mail and Douglas Murray suggested the Cenotaph was under threat. All this coupled with Tommy Robinson's return to X, and his calls for a new anti-Islam far right street movement.

The result: chaos on the streets of London, as far right activists and football hooligans battled police and attempted to confront Pro-Palestine demonstrators.

HOPE not hate had teams on the ground and embedded within the far right all day, feeding live information about what exactly was going on and where.

HOPE not hate's CEO, Nick Lowles, makes an appearance on Radio 43 to give us the full run-through of the precursors to the carnage, how the itself day panned out, and what the backlash has been for those on the march and for Tommy Robinson himself.

With over 100 arrests already and presumably many more to come as police trawl through footage, it's looking as though Saturday will go down as another costly moment for Britain's far right.

Radio 43 | Episode 49 | Intelligence Report | Is Tommy Robinson returning to the streets?07 Nov 202300:24:15

On this episode, Nick and Joe discuss what is a very fast-moving situation.

The far-right are mobilising in London this weekend in opposition to a demonstration calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Near the centre of this is Tommy Robinson, who was allowed back onto X (Twitter) on Monday, and who has mentioned repeatedly that he’s wanted to get the English Defence League (EDL) back together.

Home Secretary Braverman’s recent comments calling pro-Palestine demonstrations “hate marches” have contributed to firing up an already hostile, and increasingly energised, mass of the former far-right street movement.

Along with worrying rumblings from the underground, the literal Nazis in the National Front look set to make their Remembrance Day march to the Cenotaph as usual, whilst somehow avoiding being labelled a “hate march” by our Home Secretary…

It’s a muddied picture, but Joe helps us to get to grips with what we should expect to see.

Thanks for listening

Radio 43 | Episode 48 | Intelligence Report | (Susan) Hall of Shame13 Sep 202300:26:24

In some breaking news, HOPE not hate researchers have unearthed the deeply alarming views of the Conservative candidate for London Mayor, Susan Hall. Hall has liked posts endorsing Enoch Powell, Islamophobic tropes about Sadiq Khan, supported the myth that the 2020 American election was stolen from Donald Trump and expressed a disdain for the press and democracy.

But what ought to happen now?

On this episode of Radio 43, Nick and Georgie sit down to discuss the ins and outs of the shocking Susan Hall revelations, what the party needs to do now and how this case sits within the broader context of concerning Conservative Party incidents.

HOPE not hate has been banging the drum about the scale of anti-Muslim views within the Conservatives for many years, and Hall’s candidacy suggests that little is being done to make sure that those in the party with deeply worrying views are rooted out.

As part of this campaign, we have written to the Chair of the Conservative party, Greg Hands, presenting a dossier of evidence and stating that the party must suspend Hall and undertake a full investigation into her.

Help make this happen by signing our open letter.

Read the full, shocking details into the Susan Hall case.

Radio 43 | Episode 47 | Intelligence Report | Sending the fash packing, one town at a time09 Aug 202300:33:23

The episodes are coming thick and fast at the moment, and here we are back again with another Radio 43.

On Monday, the first asylum seekers arrived at the Bibby Stockholm barge in Dorset. The plan has gone ahead despite the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) condemning the boat as a “potential deathtrap” due to serious fire safety concerns. Across the country, tensions are rising as the Government continues to place asylum seekers in hotels, barges and barracks, and the far right try to use it to their advantage

On the show this week (which is something of a follow-up to last week), HOPE not hate’s Anki Deo and Misbah Malik make their debuts, talking Nick through the last few months of community responses to far right, anti-migrant demonstrations.

In doing so, they share lessons that we can take away about how communities have come together in various ways to see off the far right threat, and they let our listeners know about the ways in which HOPE not hate can help them respond effectively.

Big thank you to Misbah and Anki for coming on the podcast.

And thanks to you for listening!

P.S. This episode was recorded before Lee Anderson MP’s vile comments, which we otherwise would have discussed.

Radio 43 | Episode 46 | Intelligence Report | From the Government to the Streets: Anti-Migrant Activism in 2023 26 Jul 202300:35:29

Welcome to episode 46 of Radio 43.

This episode takes a similar form to the last one, in that it serves as a deep-dive into one particular topic: anti-migrant demonstrations.

There’s no getting away from the fact that this has become a really unifying focus for the far right this year.

HOPE not hate has been monitoring closely, and there’s been over 60 anti-migrant demonstrations that have taken place on town streets and at temporary accommodation around the country in 2023. But where did this all come from? How far is government rhetoric and policy encouraging the far right on the ground? How are local tensions being exploited by far right activists? And to what extend is the media helping to increase divisions?

On this episode, Nick is joined by Director of Research Joe Mulhall and Director of Policy Rosie Carter, to pick through the features of a trend of activism that has been a real concern throughout 2023.

Thank you for checking out the podcast.

They say that good things come to those who wait…in which case, this episode needs to be the best one we’ve ever done.

Apologies to all for another short hiatus, but here we are - back with another episode. On the show this week, Joe and Georgie sit down to talk Nick through what’s been going on with a new campaign and investigation into Tommy Robinson.

Around the World in 80 Lies tells the story of Tommy Robinson's libels, lies and luxury lifestyle. As HNH researchers have discovered, Tommy Robinson's been living a life of luxury - all the while sending out emails begging supporters for cash - whilst running roughshod over the law and breaking a court order by releasing a libellous film.

On the episode, Joe explains the background and Georgie talks us through what the campaign has looked like.

Cheers for listening, sorry again about the wait. There'll be at least one more this month, potentially another one next week as well.

Radio 43 | Episode 44 | Intelligence Report | The New Fascist Petting Zoo03 May 202300:39:58

Hello! It’s been a mere 5 weeks since the last episode, and there’s much to dig into.

Joe has managed to tear himself away from his new hobby in British rivers to sit down with Nick for a discussion on the massive split in Patriotic Alternative. The two examine the context, the split itself and its fallout, and try to get to the bottom of some recent claims by other antifascists that the breakaway faction, despite being less than a month old, is now the most dangerous group in the UK.

Elsewhere, it’s polling day tomorrow (May 4th) and as usual the far-right is in a dismal state electorally. The pair look at the various parties fielding candidates and work out where the far-right goes next after yet another embarrassing showing.

Finally, today HNH researchers have sent a dossier to the authorities showing what we believe to be electoral malfeasance on the part of Britain First’s Paul Golding. Joe gives us a summary of what’s in the dossier and what the repercussions could be…

As always, thanks for listening!

Radio 43 | Episode 43 | Intelligence Report | The "Hull Hitler" Feels the Heat22 Mar 202300:49:31

Right, it’s been ages since the last Radio 43, very sorry!

It has been a ridiculous start to the year and Nick and Joe have struggled to find the time to sit down to record, but they’re back now with a BUMPER edition of the podcast.

On this week’s episode, the pair take a look back over the previous 3 months to pick out some trends and developments on the far-right. With so many anti-migrant demonstrations going off around the country, it’s been a worrying time.

Elsewhere the two discuss an extraordinary story from State of Hate 2023 about an anti-Islam group that has been operating at the heart of the British establishment for over a decade, before turning to two new HNH investigations: one into the “Hull Hitler”, Alek Yerbury, and the other a disgraced, and surely soon to be ex-, UKIP councillor.

Radio 43 | Episode 42 | Intelligence Report | Down The Plughole: Bathgate Nazi Gig Gets Smoked05 Dec 202200:37:03

Nick and Joe are back a week later than planned because poor old Joe lost his voice. But thankfully it has returned just in time for him to belt out some carols and, more importantly but less seasonally, talk about the far-right on this podcast.

It’s a show full of big stories this week as the pair begin by treading familiar podcast terrain: the continued links between Patriotic Alternative and the extreme far-right, in this case the Nordic Resistance Movement - a properly nasty bunch.

Next they move onto a big story that came courtesy of HOPE not hate: a fascist in the Tory Party down in Kent. They keep turning up there, though heavens knows why…

HOPE not hate torpedoed another nazi Blood & Honour gig, this time up in Bathgate in West Lothian. It was going to be a big one, but it ended the same way as all the others - with lots of dejected nazis and a good chunk of money down the drain too.

Finally the pair talk about Kanye “Ye” West’s disturbing appearance on the Alex Jones show and his continued descent into vicious and violent antisemitism, before discussing no-platform and Twitter more broadly.

If we don’t get another one in before the end of the year then have a great Christmas, thanks for listening.

Radio 43 | Episode 41 | Intelligence Report | It Was A Far-Right Terror Attack11 Nov 202200:29:37

Following a longer hiatus than planned, Nick and Joe are back with a new episode of Radio 43.

The far-right terror attack in Dover has raised a lot of questions, not just about the far-right politics of the terrorist himself, but of the state of public anti-migrant discourse in Britain. We must talk of about this man’s engagement with far-right figures and his radicalisation, and deal properly with this pipeline. But we must also ask what it says about the party of government that just a few days prior to the attack, the Home Secretary used established far-right rhetoric in speaking about an “invasion of our southern coast”?

Elsewhere, there’s yet ANOTHER National Action-linked activist in Patriotic Alternative. How many is that now? The numbers keep adding up. Oh and this one is also a “Reverend” in a white supremacist cult. There will be more sweaty armpits amongst PA activists as the talk of proscription grows…

Finally, the pair look at Tommy Robinson’s most extreme article ever, in which he’s openly antisemitic and engages with racist pseudoscience. Tommy’s COVID conspiracy journey has ended up in a nightmare of antisemitism.

Walking Through The Walk-In: Telling the true story behind the ITV drama05 Oct 202200:52:35

This special episode of the HOPE not hate (HNH) podcast is a recording of one of our fringe meetings at this year’s Labour conference.

It features a conversation between Kevin Maguire from The Daily Mirror and HNH’s Head of Intelligence, Matthew Collins, about the true story behind the dramatic new ITV series The Walk-In starring Stephen Graham as Matthew Collins.

The Walk-In tells the incredible true story about how Matthew worked with a mole, Robbie Mullen, inside the then-banned neo-nazi terror group, National Action, to foil a murder plot, save the life of the then-Labour MP Rosie Cooper, send the plotter to jail and ultimately bring down National Action for good.

It’s a remarkable story brought to life by Stephen Graham, Jason Flemyng and others. In this conversation between Matthew and Kevin, the pair examine the story behind National Action, running a mole inside the group, the pressure Matthew was put under by the security services, and the psychological toll the whole case has had on Matthew and Robbie. Fear & HOPE 2022: A Realignment of Identity Politics, in conversation with Anthony Painter30 Aug 202200:43:06

It has been a decade since HOPE not hate released its first groundbreaking Fear & HOPE report, the biggest investigation into identity undertaken in Britain.

This year, following ten years of political upheaval, HNH has released a new Fear & HOPE report to better understand how social attitudes have changed during that time. In the recovery from a global pandemic but heading into economic recession, amidst a political context of culture wars, Brexit fallouts and fracturing across the political spectrum, our research finds a new alignment of identity politics, and the emergence of a new reactionary right threat.

To tie in with the report's release Rosie Carter, its author and HOPE not hate's Director of Policy, sits down with Anthony Painter, Director of Policy and External Affairs at the Chartered Management Institute who co-authored the original Fear & HOPE.

Taking a broad view, the two examine the key takeaways from the report and try to establish what has changed in the intervening years.

Radio 43 | Episode 39 | Intelligence Report | Special Episode: It's a win for HOPE not Tate24 Aug 202200:48:21

It’s been a hectic time at HOPE not hate as we’ve just successfully netted one of our biggest fish in recent years; a right whopper by the name of Andrew Tate.

Tate is a violent misogynist who shot to fame on social media, especially TikTok, projecting a supposedly glamorous lifestyle of fast cars and wealth whilst simultaneously using his platform to share his disgusting views towards women, as well as his homophobia, ableism and Islamophobia.

On TikTok, Tate content has been viewed many billions (that’s not a typo) of times, and he has developed a cult-like following of impressionable young men and boys. Large numbers of young men have been consuming his content and he is widely celebrated in those circles as having brought back “traditional masculinity”.

Tate has links to various significant far-right figures, including Tommy Robinson who he knows from growing up in Luton. And his combination of gateway “influencer” content, extremely violent, degrading and controlling behaviour towards women, his racism and his far-right connections marked him out as a real danger to young people online.

This is why, last week, we launched a campaign against Tate which, in the space of less than a week, saw Tate looks many millions of followers on social media as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok all shut down his accounts and began to scrub Tate content off their sites.

This was a huge win for HOPE not hate, and we couldn’t have done it without our supporters, vast numbers of whom joined our call to the tech platforms to take action. We send a big thank you to you all.

In this special episode of the podcast, Nick and Joe sit down to reflect on what has been a pretty wild few days. They discuss some of the ins and outs of Andrew Tate, the trajectory of the campaign and dig into a very brazen and bizarre response video from Tate himself.

Enjoy

Radio 43 | Episode 38 | Intelligence Report | Yet more bad press for Patriotic Alternative10 Aug 202200:27:44

Nick and Joe come back after a short hiatus in order to discuss the far-right and conspiracy groups’ targeting of Drag Queen Story Hour events, a series of storytelling events at public libraries during the summer holidays. The campaign has been spearheaded by Patriotic Alternative (PA) and has seen buy-in from groups across the far-right, but in recent days some have stepped away citing Patriotic Alternative’s extremism as something too toxic with which to be associated.

Patriotic Alternative get another slot in the show, as the guys chat about the new revelations unearthed by HOPE not hate researchers which once again tie PA’s de-facto number three in command, Sam Melia, to the now-banned neo-nazi terror gang, National Action. PA have always stuck doggedly to a position denying Melia’s involvement in the terror group, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. But now, thanks to this new information, that can really be put to bed once and for all…

Finally, Alex Jones of InfoWars has had a really bad and embarrassing week. It’s a big story, with big sums of money involved…

Radio 43 | Episode 37 | Intelligence Report | Boris Goneson08 Jul 202200:32:27

So Boris Johnson’s era as Prime Minister is reaching its conclusion, as on Thursday 7th July he took to the podium outside Number 10 to announce his resignation. But what will the legacy of the Johnson era be when it comes to anti-racism and racial equality in Britain? Have things improved or has his government been a disaster for cohesion in Britain? Nick and Joe take a broad view at the last 2 and a half years.

Such a vast amount has happened in the last couple of weeks that it’s easy to forget that there were two recent by-elections in which the far right did terribly. The guys go over the results, and consider what they might mean about the far right’s future electoral threat.

A big story from HNH in recent days has been that a Royal Navy submariner, who HNH exposed a few years back as being involved with the far right Generation Identity, has not only received a promotion but has now aligned himself with the explicitly fascist Patriotic Alternative. Joe has the details.

Radio 43 | Episode 36 | Intelligence Report | It’s Been A Minute…22 Jun 202200:29:33

It’s been a minute, but after a short hiatus Radio 43 is back on the airwaves. Thank you for your patience and apologies for the period of silence from Radio 43!

Sadly, personnel changes at HNH mean that in the intervening period we have waved a fond farewell to both Roxy and Jake. We wanted to get them on the show before they left, but for various reasons we couldn’t make it work. We hope that you’ll join us in sending them love and all the ebay for the future.

Nick and Joe are still here though, and on this new episode they sit down to discuss a few details contained within HNH’s new Britain First report and some ins-and-outs regarding the Wakefield by-election, as well as giving a few reflections on the forthcoming “British Bill of Rights” which will see the Conservative Party water down existing human rights legislation which protects us all.

Given our severe over-capacity at the moment we will be moving to a fortnightly show for a while, please bear with us!

Jake Hanrahan Speaks to HOPE not hate's Nick Ryan27 Apr 202201:31:42

Jake Hanrahan, journalist and creator of the Popular Front conflict reporting platform, spoke to Nick Ryan about Ukraine, nazis and anti-fascism, as well as investigating Atomwaffen Division, and his many other international experiences.

Radio 43 | Episode 35 | Intelligence Report | Who? Where? And WTF?! Election Spesh.21 Apr 202200:34:06

The who, where and wtf?! of all the far-right candidates running in the upcoming local elections. Essential listening for all those who want to oppose fascists from establishing local power in their constituency.

The team also turn to the brutal and callous Rwanda proposal for offshoring  asylum processing (and subsequently successful claimants) entirely from the UK and to Rwanda.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has said the  process is "opposite the nature of God".  According to a 2020 Human Rights Watch report, detainees in Rwanda  suffer from arbitrary detention, ill-treatment, and torture in official and unofficial facilities.

LGBT asylum seekers fleeing persecution to UK shores, will face deportation to a country with a poor record on homophobia, even within the Rwandan state itself.

This is another episode where all of our efforts to contain the far right, are made a mockery of by a mainstream party that appears to be prepared to adopt the same  cruelty we normally associate with the fringe.

This cannot stand, and we cannot let it.

Radio 43 | Episode 34 | Intelligence Report | Banged-Up Abroad: The Tommy Robinson Saga06 Apr 202200:36:34

Joe and Nick giving the facts, and nothing but the facts you need to take on fascists today.

It's a bumper episode. Tommy Robinson (Stephen Lennon) got deported from Mexico, the biggest and most humorous story of the day. The irony of a racist, Trump supporter, being deported from Mexico hopefully not lost on anyone... and meanwhile more and more evidence that Lennon has been lying about his wealth piles up each day.

It's looking bleak for Stephen.

Elsewhere Joe and Nick discuss the forthcoming elections, and the various far-right groups that are trying to compete,  an Odinite meltdown for UKIP Hampshire happens in full sight of all on Facebook, and Anne Marie seems to have backed down from coming out swinging for a slave owner in Bristol.

Unfortunately, and once again, the mainstream provides the biggest challenge with the alarmingly authoritarian Fidesz winning a resounding victory in Hungary, and the Conservative party failing to ban conversion therapy for trans people in the UK.

Get up to speed.

Radio 43 | Episode 33 | Intelligence Report | Net Zero Morality25 Mar 202200:39:43

Roxy and Nick meet to discuss the bumbling, useless and petro-pound fuelled human wreckage on the UK far right.

-Tommy ducks court, and looks like he might be going back to jail (thanks to the work of HnH).
-BF wave around silly petitions.
-A climate denial campaign that is being SHOCKINGLY funded by petro-pounds.
-Patriotic Alternative continue the fascist creep. Important info here for anti-fascists who want some forward intel.

Share and amplify this episode, there's a lot of information in it of practical use to those who want to combat the far right.

'Hate on the march again' - State of Hate 2022: Webinar & Q&A18 Mar 202201:31:29

State of HATE 2022 – the leading annual report outlining the key trends and changes in the domestic and international far right – shows how the past year has led to an environment in which we will likely see the return of far right activists back on the streets, standing in elections and exploiting the uncertainties created by economic hardship.

To discuss the report's findings and to take questions from the audience, HOPE not hate's Head of Research, Dr Joe Mulhall, and researcher Patrik Hermansson are joined by Nadia Witthome MP. On hosting duties is Nick Spooner.

Radio 43 | Episode 32 | Intelligence Report | A Moral Weather Sock08 Mar 202200:44:22

Nick and Joe are reunited with Roxana for an overview of the wasted lives on the British Far Right.

Tommy Robinson gets involved in a very banged-up, clown car of a political party, it is unclear why he has, and its likely to all fall apart.
PA did a conference, typically they were inept on security allowing info gathering all round.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine thunders on into an ever-growing nightmare.

Radio 43 | Episode 31 | Intelligence Report | The Ghosts of Fascism in Russia's War on Ukraine03 Mar 202200:38:03

Nick and Joe are joined this week by Safya, a researcher at HOPE not hate.

The war on Ukraine by Russia has summoned all kinds of ghosts of historical fascism, and while this podcast normally focuses on the UK  far right, we decided that the war was of high enough global importance to anti-fascists that we gave the issue precedent.

The subjects under discussion are:

  • The various responses to the war from the wide spectrum of thought in the UK far right.
  • Putin's dubious claims of 'denazification'.
  • The kernel of truth to Putin's lie (Azov nazis in the Ukrainian military), and more widely -Banderism - as a national myth.
  • Putin's hypocrisy in deploying the Neo-Nazi founded 'Wagner' battalion.
  • White supremacy in the media, the mask slips.
  • The UK government's repeated failure to those fleeing war, once again.

A sombre episode, due to the subject matter, and also because Roxy has taken a break to focus on challenging mainstream racism in the popular media.

Share widely, and stay safe.

Radio 43 | Episode 30 | Intelligence Report | Tommy Robinson Self Incriminates, Again17 Feb 202200:30:27

Joe, Nick and Roxy have been banging out the Lemsips today in a particularly congested episode of R43.

 They discuss:
 -Neil Coyle and Sinophobia.
-Resistance GB, Ex-tory councillors involved in Keir Starmer bothering.
-Tommy Robinson's latest, embarrassing, and now deleted video, where he picks a bleeding spot from his forehead and brags about spending donations on booze.
-Tommy hanging out with a man involved in a brawl death.
-More still from the no marks in Patriotic Alternative.
-The dubious electoral threat from the wider far right.

 A bumper episode.

Radio 43 | Episode 29 | Intelligence Report | Jimmy Carrn't Tell a Joke09 Feb 202200:36:41

Stephen Lennon's crusade in Telford continues apace. But while "Tommy Robinson" loudly protests horrific instances of grooming, he has overlooked how close to home abuse often is.

Elsewhere the gang discuss the pro-genocide "joke" of Jimmy Carr, as well as further convictions for nazi terrorists, who were planning novel  terror, with 3d printed guns, and bomb-making manuals disguised as Minecraft guides.

Radio 43 | Episode 28 | Intelligence Report | Tommy Robinson Supported by Fascists - SHOCKER!01 Feb 202200:33:05

The three come together to discuss:

  • The small showing Tommy managed in Telford.
  • The Uyghur issues around the Beijing Olympics.
  • Boris Johnson's disgraceful use of a misinformation meme the far-right prefers.
  • And the upcoming Southend Byelection.

Get your ears on the antifascist antidote.

Radio 43 | Episode 27 | Intelligence Report | "Hello MTV, I'm Tommy Robinson, And Welcome To My Crib(s)"27 Jan 202200:32:36

Stephen Lennon's financial gameplaying looks like it will finally catch up with him.

Asset after asset is being revealed to officials as a result of research done by antifascists at HOPE not hate, and with the support of our donors. You.

Surely it's only a matter of time now before Stephen's houses get given to those he has victimized? Tick Tock, Stephen.

Elsewhere the Tory's are embroiled in a rolling islamophobia crisis, citizenship is being snatched as a part of the government's authoritarian swerve, and the South-End by election sees more no hopers line up to splurge their deposits in exchange for another go on the public humiliation.

Radio 43 | Episode 26 | Intelligence Report | Alpha Men Assembly Time20 Jan 202200:41:24

Roxy and Nick, have lost Joe this week to some other work. Instead, Liron has been called in to explain the authoritarian government rumblings that he is working closely to observe and challenge.

This and still more are covered in an episode that you need in your digital players and or download folder, immediately.
