Taking Flight: The Owl Centre's Beginnings with Founder Nicola Lathey29 Nov 202400:24:10

This first episode of Hoot's Who explores the inspiring journey of Nicola Lathey, the founder of the Owl Therapy Centre.

Andrew Ryder is the Owl Centre's Head of Neurodiversity, and during this episode he chats with Nic about how her younger brother with Down's syndrome shaped her career as a speech and language therapist, and the evolution of the Owl Therapy Centre from a small private practice to a nationwide multidisciplinary service.

The discussion highlights the Centre’s neuro-affirmative ethos, its expansion, and its commitment to individualised care. Nicola also reflects on the challenges and rewards of running a growing organisation and shares personal anecdotes, including a humorous live TV moment that showcased her talent for animal impressions! 🐎
