Stacey believes the human body has an incredible ability to heal, and her mission is to help her clients unlock that potential by uncovering what ISN'T working in their lives, and discover and take hold of what IS. Catharine’s passion for algae is contagious. You’ll hear why NASA and biohackers worldwide swear by these tiny green tablets and the science behind them.
✨ Takeaways: Spirulina = energy + focus + protein Chlorella = detox + recovery + mold/heavy metal support Algae is food, not a supplement: nutrient-dense, effortless, sustainable
Meet Catharine Arnston: Catharine Arnston is an expert in algae nutrition, a wellness thought leader, an experienced entrepreneur, and a sought-after speaker. Catharine has a PhD, MBA, BA Hons, and is a board-certified health coach.
Catharine's journey into the fascinating world of algae began in 2008 when her younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and advised by her oncologist that an alkaline diet would improve her healing. Catharine left her 25- year corporate career, leading her to algae - the most alkaline, chlorophyll-rich, high-protein, nutrient-dense food in the world. When Catharine learned that algae's vast healing properties were documented in tens of thousands of scientific studies but that none of these studies or benefits were known outside of Asia, she knew she needed to do something. And so ENERGYbits® was born.
Catharine has spent the last fifteen years researching algae, writing papers, giving presentations, lecturing at conferences, and speaking on 300+ podcasts to explain the benefits of algae. To do this, she read thousands of scientific papers that detailed, validated, and confirmed algae's nutritional, health, longevity, and global benefits. It is Catharine's vision and passion to change this and her PhD in natural health has given her the scientific fluency that allows her to explain algae with such simplicity and clarity, it quickly becomes obvious why algae is something we all urgently need.

Ep. 55 | Climbing Mental Mountains: One Man’s Mission to Make Mental Health Help More Accessible
Warning: This episode includes discussion of depression, suicidal thoughts, and mental health struggles. It's raw and real, but also filled with hope, healing, and the power of showing up for yourself (and others).
We’re talking about climbing mental mountains, the kind you don’t see on a map.
In this episode, my friend Keith Batenhorst shares his experience with scaling mountains, from panic attacks and self-medication to scaling Grand Teton, Mount Whitney, and Kilimanjaro.
But this isn’t just about the peaks. It’s about the valleys in between and how Keith found his purpose in building the Mental Mountains Project, a nonprofit that helps others access life-saving therapy by covering the costs.
We talk about what it means to show up when everything inside you says to quit, and how choosing vulnerability and community over perfection can change the entire trajectory of a life. Or in Keith’s case, many lives.
🎧In this episode: [03:30] Mental health journey begins: Panic attacks, isolation & self-medication [20:45] The turning point: A mentor, a goal, and Grand Teton [50:00] Reaching the summit… and waking up the next day [58:30] From pain to purpose: The Mental Mountain Project [1:12:15] Miles for Mental Health + fundraising with heart
If you’ve ever felt lost, stuck, or unsure how to keep going, this one’s for you.
It’s about the grit that lives inside all of us. The kind that doesn’t just conquer mountains, it climbs them again and again; not because it’s easy, but because it matters.
BIO: Keith is the founder of the non-profit Mental Mountains Project, an organization that raises money and awareness for those who can’t afford therapy services. Keith is an aspiring endurance athlete who entered the mountaineering and endurance world in an effort to overcome his own self-limiting beliefs on what he was capable of, while inspiring a community of people burdened by their own self-doubts that they’re capable of still pursuing their dreams. Keith lives by the motto of “showing up,” believing that by consistently choosing his attitude and effort, he can help create a world where all things are possible—for himself and for others.

Ep 53: How Subconscious Programming Shapes Our Health w/ Carey Weiss
What if your struggles with health, weight, or emotional well-being aren’t about discipline, but decades-old subconscious programming?
In this episode of Homes That Heal, I talk with Carey from Love of My Life Energetics, who brings a multifaceted healing approach as a nurse, certified hypnotherapist (C. Hyp.), Akashic Records Reader, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) practitioner, and Energy Medicine Practitioner, about the sneaky ways our early childhood beliefs get wired into our nervous system—and how they silently run the show in our adult lives.
From binge eating to burnout, RTT helps clients trace their struggles back to their origins, then gently rewires the brain for safety, peace, and freedom. We dig into how trauma patterns form and how you can begin to release what no longer serves you, starting with your thoughts.
Whether you’ve tried all the diets, struggle with body trust, or simply crave a calmer, more healing home, this conversation is a powerful reminder: you are not broken. And your body might just be doing its best to keep you safe.
[4:20] – 🧠 Your brain on trauma: Why we repeat old patterns (and how RTT interrupts them) [7:30] – From burnout to breakthrough: Carey's pivot to RTT [25:20] – 💥 Jen’s RTT session: the breakthrough that cracked it all open [28:20] – ✨ Why language matters: “Weight loss” vs “weight release” [1:15:10]– 🛋️ How your home environment either supports—or sabotages—healing
🎙️ ABOUT CAREY Caroline (Carey) Weiss is a trauma‑informed holistic healer devoted to helping people shed the layers—physical, emotional, and energetic—that keep them from living the life they truly love. A registered nurse of 13 years, Caroline is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, dual‑certified Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner, Energy Medicine practitioner, and Akashic Records guide. Through her practice, Love of My Life Energetics, she supports clients in addressing root causes of unresolved trauma, limiting beliefs, and stuck energy.

Mark Heller’s Bio:
With a B.A. in marketing and nearly two decades of experience in residential property management, Mark Heller has honed his expertise in managing hundreds of properties, including Dane County’s largest residential communities, multi-family buildings, and flipped homes in and around Madison, WI.
In 2020, Mark pivoted from flipping properties to focus on residential property management and hard money lending. This transition was sparked by a frustrating experience with a simple loan refinance, which motivated him to explore alternative financial solutions. The discovery of the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) through a real estate mastermind group was a turning point. After reading R. Nelson Nash’s Becoming Your Own Banker, Mark knew this strategy aligned perfectly with his vision for financial independence.
Today, Mark is passionate about teaching others how to leverage IBC to achieve financial freedom. When he’s not strategizing or assisting friends with real estate deals, he enjoys traveling, exploring National Parks, and spending time with his wife, Jen, and their beloved cats in southern Wisconsin.

Bio: Shawna Buenger is the owner and founder of Nevie LoRu. She is an artist, a budget-friendly interior decorator, and a business owner. After a career in high-end property management and development, she quit her job to stay at home with her kiddos. She found herself still searching for a creative outlet and turned to the walls of her own home. Shawna had always loved to create large-scale paintings, and basically all aspects of the creative process, so she took the principles she had learned from interior designers she worked with in property development and applied them to her home.
Shawna discovered that she loved interior design and renovated every home she had, along with friends' and families' homes. When her husband and she built a home together, she told him that she wanted to create the designs and visions she had in my head, not hire a designer. Their home became the catalyst for her hobby, turning into her business. After her children were all in school, her focus became Nevie LoRu. Her daughters are the inspiration for her company's name.
Shawna absolutely loves being able to find stylish options for her clients that do not cost a small fortune. She believes everyone is entitled to a beautiful home that suits their style and needs without having to keep up with every design trend. Shawna works with clients to remodel, renovate, and transform spaces, mostly in residential homes, but also on commercial projects. She works with all budgets, all speeds, and as hands-on as her clients need her to be.

[3:15] 🛏️ Why your sleep space matters for things like energy, mood, hormones, weight, flexibility, productivity, sex drive, relationships — even creativity and opportunity [6:00] 📵 Why I never keep phones, TVs, or computers in the bedroom anymore [16:05] 🛌 My favorite non-toxic, organic mattress (EMF-blocking, cooling, grounding — I’m obsessed!) [19:30]🧸 Why I swear by my 20 lb weighted blanket for better sleep, less anxiety, fewer nightmares, and more calm [22:40]📖 Nighttime rituals I love [23:20]💎 The healing power of crystals like black tourmaline, shungite, rose quartz, and amethyst for raising your room’s frequency [24:50] 🧹 The importance of decluttering your space — remove stressful energy like dirty laundry, dishes, or piles of paperwork, and let the light in [27:10]🌿 How I created a calm, beachy vibe in our master bedroom that reminds me of our wedding in the Bahamas (my favorite time ever!)
And here’s a simple truth: your bedroom should feel like a place you can't wait to retreat to. You deserve a sleep sanctuary that’s peaceful, cozy, and restorative. I’ve felt the difference in my own life — and I want that for you, too.

Ep43 Homes That Heal - Encore with Crystal from Hey Child, Stay Wild
If you’ve ever wanted to turn your home into a sanctuary of healing and positive energy, this episode of Homes That Heal is a must-listen! I’m bringing back one of my all-time favorite episodes with Crystal Herbrand, the force behind Hey Child, Stay Wild. Crystal is a close friend and a wellness warrior. This chat is full of laughs, real talk, and some seriously good vibes.
From Spray Tans to Energy Healing Crystal owned a spray tanning studio, making women feel amazing in their skin. But burnout hit hard. She had to rethink everything—realizing that mental and physical health go hand in hand.
Reiki, Letting Go & Trusting the Universe Reiki changed the game for her. She discovered that energy work is real, and the answers we’re looking for? They’re already inside us—we just need to slow down and listen. When COVID shut down her business, she was forced to let go and trust the process. Instead of seeing failure, she started seeing challenges as a new chapter in her life.
Clearing Energy & Creating a High-Vibe Home Crystal and I swap tips on keeping your space light and positive. Crystal’s go-to method? Light some sage, set an intention, open those windows, and clear out the funky energy hiding in corners, closets, and mirrors. Bad vibes? Kindly show them the door and welcome in the good ones.
✨ This episode is all about transformation, trusting the flow, and making your home a sanctuary. You don’t want to miss it! ✨
Crystal is the creator of Hey Child, Stay Wild as a way to embrace her inner wild child and find her passion and purpose. From creating jewelry, sharing her favorite things, and talking about energy and how to work with it. One of her favorite ways to work with energy is to use sage and crystals to clear and keep negative energy from messing with her vibe.
Ask Jen: Clearlight Sauna Setup, Carpet Safety, and Brand Assurance
01 Apr 2025
00:26:06
Are you overwhelmed by trying to choose the perfect sauna? One brand swears by low electromagnetic fields (EMF), and another says it does not matter. Some push full-spectrum. Others claim that far infrared is all you need. Just when you think you’ve made a decision, new doubts creep in.
Buying a sauna should not be this frustrating. But the fear of picking the wrong one stops you. The stress of setting it up holds you back. The thought of placing it on the carpet adds another worry.
This episode clears up the confusion. No marketing tricks. No sales talk. Just real answers to three of the biggest concerns: how easy it is to set up, whether it is safe on carpet, and what makes Clearlight different from the rest.
I’ve been in your shoes. I spent months researching, trying to figure out which sauna was best and hoping the one I chose would not only last but help me heal.
I worried about installation, electromagnetic field levels, and whether my investment would last.
After 15 years of using my Clearlight sauna, I'm confident in the answers. Today, I’m sharing these with you to help you make the right choices for your health and home.

A retreat can be so much more than a getaway. It drives change, refocuses your purpose, and builds lasting connections. That’s what happened on our life-changing trip to Banff, Canada. A group of women and I came together to grow, transform, and rediscover our true selves.
This was no ordinary vacation. It was a journey of emotional breakthroughs and physical triumphs. From climbing mountains to cold plunging, every challenge brought new lessons. Vulnerability became a strength.
In this episode, I chatted with Sara of Soul Adventure Collective, the organizer, and Amber, one of the ladies from the trip, and we reminisced about our experiences and shared our key takeaways.
Indeed, the entire Banff trip was about real change: rediscovering who we are, reconnecting with our purpose, and healing on a deeper level. Growth is possible when we step outside our comfort zones and accept the beauty of vulnerability.
Tune in now! You might need one of these retreats one day.
