| Trust the River:: Brooke's Birth Work Journey | 22 juil. 2026 | 01:39:25 | |
Have you ever been curious to hear the story of how a birthworker becomes a birthworker? In this episode, Brooke shares her own story of becoming, how she moved through different phases over the 14 years, and has played different roles (birth photographer, apprentice midwife, doula-ish, birthkeeper, aspiring traditional midwife). This is a story of unfurling, of obedience and adaptation. It's a story of one woman's continual YES to the Lord to serve birthing families while also birthing and mothering her own babies. In the end, we hope it's a story that encourages you on your unique, one-of-a-kind journey in response to your undeniable pull toward birth work. | Faith In Worst Case Birth Scenarios || with Nicola | 08 juil. 2026 | 01:56:24
Nicola's two birth stories include several abnormal and/or frightening elements. Her first was an ultimately uneventful breech birth (but a surprise breech!). Her second, however, included placental abruption, emergency cesarean, neonatal resuscitation, a helicopter lift, and a NICU stay. Through it all, Nicola points out the ways she saw God's hand at work, protecting them, providing for them, and ultimately showering them with blessings. She wouldn't do it any other way; she's still a fierce advocate for home birth and midwifery care. Please note that we had a lot of challenges recording these stories, and editing the recording to make it salvageable posed significant hurdles. If it seems choppy or "off" at points, this is the reason. However, the stories are rich, and I hope you'll hang with us through the hiccups to mine the gold nuggets. You can find Nicola on IG Get on the First-To-Know list for our fall cohort of Hearthmother Journey and get an exclusive invitation to our open house. Oh, Due dates! How much hinges on them! What psychological impact they can have! How grossly inaccurate they are!! In this episode we're talking all things estimated due date. Like: - how often the word "estimated" gets removed from the entire concept - various ways of calculating when a baby might be born (you might have 5 different EDDs) - the argument for adjusting our language and expectations around the timing of birth, both for ourselves and for others in our lives - the spiritual lessons and wisdom related to waiting for unpredictable events like giving birth (or Christ's return) - and more If you've ever been curious, confused, or downright crazy about an EDD, this is for you. | Expect Things To Go Well || with Leah Wilson | 03 juin 2026 | 01:03:48
- Sensitive Content Disclaimer - This episode includes discussion of pregnancy loss, miscarriage, and second trimester loss. Listener discretion is advised, especially for those who may be walking through grief or processing similar experiences. ----- In this deeply moving conversation, we sit down with a mother whose journey through loss, faith, pregnancy, and birth challenged nearly every mainstream expectation around maternity care and healing. She shares candidly about trusting both God and her body through uncertainty, grief, and ultimately an instinct-led birth experience that reshaped the way she views motherhood and surrender. We talk about what it looked like to remain grounded in faith while enduring a miscarriage that did not resolve for weeks — and how she chose to interpret her body’s process. She shares the profound dream in which she encountered her daughter, the peace and meaning that experience brought, and how it transformed the way she understood loss and life itself. Our conversation also explores the tension between intuition and medicalized narratives, including her decision to reject a diagnosis she felt did not align with what her body was communicating under the circumstances. We discuss the standards she held for anyone involved in her birth space — especially her guiding litmus test for birth attendants: expect things to go well. She shares how unexpected circumstances ultimately left her without a midwife, and how a virtual mentor became a stabilizing and supportive presence during pregnancy and birth prep.. This episode also dives into the role that Embrace Birth Journey (EBJ) played in helping her prepare mentally and spiritually for a more primal, instinctive birth experience. Brooke’s birth video playlist inside EBJ became a powerful tool in reinforcing her confidence that birth unfolds as it is meant to, rather than something that must constantly be managed or controlled. We also discuss how the discovery of meconium-stained waters led to a last-minute separation from her doula, the mysterious and meaningful presence of what she describes as “angel midwives,” and the mindset that carried her through labor: be where your feet are. | Boundaries in Postpartum | 27 mai 2026 | 00:32:10
You may have many people in your life who are very excited to meet and love on your baby, or who want to support you after your birth. This is a great problem to have, right? But maybe you feel overwhelmed, crowded, or smothered by it. Maybe some of the people who are eager to get into your postpartum space bring up feelings of discomfort or resistance: having them there just doesn't feel good in your body, even though they're very nice and/or related to you. Do they have a right to be there anyway? Are you obligated to tell your parents the moment the baby comes out? Is it necessary to allow your in-laws to visit and "meet the baby" within 24 hours? Should you allow others to hold the baby that first week? In this episode we explore the concerns and tensions that many mothers (and fathers) experience about how to include loved ones in the earliest days of their baby's lives, what it looks like to honor the critical time period of the first week of a baby's life when the mother and baby are a dyad, and how to lovingly and clearly set boundaries or establish expectations with both healthy and unhealthy people. | Planning a Home Birth When Family is Unsupportive | 20 mai 2026 | 00:29:11
What do you do when the people you love don’t support your decision to have a homebirth? In this episode, we’re talking through one of the most common and emotionally loaded questions we hear from families: “How do I handle the disapproval?” Whether it’s a parent, friend, pastor, sibling, or someone from your community, navigating outside opinions during pregnancy can bring up fear, people-pleasing, insecurity, grief, and even old wounds we didn’t realize were still there. We talk honestly about what these conversations can reveal inside of us, how to discern when to engage versus when to hold privacy, and what healthy boundaries can actually look like in real life. We also unpack how every relationship requires a different approach. A concerned mother may need a different response than a judgmental acquaintance. Some conversations may call for gentleness and reassurance, while others may require firm boundaries and less access altogether. And perhaps most importantly, we remind listeners of something that can feel incredibly freeing: you are not obligated to disclose your birth plans to anyone. We hope it leaves you feeling grounded, empowered, and reminded that discernment, wisdom, and privacy are not secrecy or selfishness. Mentioned in this Episode:

| He Is With You In Your Birth || with Tesia and David | 15 mai 2026 | 01:18:42 | |
Pregnancy has a way of stripping everything down to what’s real. In this episode, we sit with a Tesia's story of radical dependence on the Lord through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. From shopping for a midwife before conception to receiving unexpected prophetic words, navigating housing chaos while heavily pregnant, and wrestling with the physical cost of carrying and birthing a baby, this conversation is honest & deeply hope-filled. We talk about seeing God’s hand in the details. The premature congratulations that foreshadowed pregnancy before she even knew. Praying for guidance toward birth resources and watching doors open one by one. Feeling profoundly seen by the Lord through the provision of baby supplies at just the right moments and the surprising ways He continued speaking throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. This episode also holds space for the harder parts of the journey & the struggle of feeling physically limited and disconnected from your own body. Nausea that lasted through the entirety of labor, the emotional weight of changing a birth team late in pregnancy, delayed placenta delivery, moments of fear that led to a 911 call that ultimately wasn’t needed, and the sacred tension between intervention and listening for the Lord’s direction in the moment. We also talk about:

| Cup of Tea:: Beautiful Things In the Waiting | 06 mai 2026 | 01:00:44 | |
This week feels a little like sitting around the table with friends. We’re catching up on what’s unfolding behind the scenes, reflecting on the beauty of April births, and talking honestly about seasons of waiting that don’t look the way we thought they would. In this episode, we talk about the beginning of HMU through two very different lenses: Lauren stepping into it from the teacher side, and Brooke entering it first as a student. We share what it’s been like watching this community grow, the heart behind it, and the ways God continues to shape all of us through the process. We also recap Brooke’s birthday beauty-sharing dinner and retreat — the conversations, the connection, the rest, and why creating intentional spaces for women to gather matters so deeply to us. We reflect on some of the beautiful births Brooke attended throughout April and the reminders they carried about surrender, strength, family, and the sacredness woven throughout ordinary moments. And finally, Lauren shares about “letting the ground rest.” About being in a season of waiting she would not have chosen, and how difficult it can be when life feels slower than we hoped for. She shares what it’s looked like to sit in the unknown, release control, and slowly realize that rest, hiddenness, and waiting are not wasted seasons. | Kids At Birth | 22 avr. 2026 | 00:20:49
In this episode, we sit down and talk through what it actually looks like to have kids present at a home birth. We share honestly about the nerves, the beauty, and all the unknowns that can come with it. From how we can prepare our children ahead of time, to having the right support in place during labor, this conversation really leans into being both intentional and flexible. We talk about how kids often come into birth with curiosity more than fear, and how our role is less about controlling their experience and more about creating a calm, safe space where they can observe, ask questions, and even participate in small ways if they want to. We also talk about letting go of perfect expectations and trusting that everyone will find their place in the moment. At the heart of it, this episode is about inviting our children into something that’s deeply normal and deeply sacred. It’s about the long-term impact of letting them witness birth, not as something scary or hidden, but as a natural part of family life and care. Connect:

| Placenta Consumption: An Evolution of Conviction and Practice | 08 avr. 2026 | 00:46:34 | |
This is one of those topics that can feel a little uncomfortable, but also really important to think through. consuming the placenta after birth has become pretty normalized in natural birth spaces. It’s often framed as instinctual, nourishing, even necessary for recovery. We’ve both had our own journeys with this. Asking, “Is this actually how the body was designed to function?” A lot of the arguments for it sound really convincing. Mammals do it, blood loss during birth, iron replenishment. Then there’s hormone balancing. The idea is that consuming the placenta helps smooth out the hormonal drop after birth. But that drop is part of the design. It signals the body to shift into postpartum mode. Reintroducing those hormones may actually interfere with that process instead of supporting it. There’s also the claim that it helps prevent postpartum mood disorders. That’s a powerful pull, but the research is mixed and largely anecdotal. Postpartum mental health is influenced by so many factors that it’s not something one practice can reliably control. Something we both experienced, before we could fully explain it, was just a sense of hesitation. That feeling of, “I’m not sure about this.” And sometimes your body is picking up on something before your mind has words for it. For us, this ultimately came down to alignment—physiologically, nutritionally, and spiritually. We aren’t just like other mammals or animals. We uniquely bear God’s image. The postpartum hormone shift is intentional, not something to override. Animals consume the placenta largely for survival reasons, which doesn’t apply to us. And scripturally, the only reference to anything like this is in a context of desperation, not wisdom. There’s also the reality that the placenta acts as a filter during pregnancy, holding onto substances from the environment. That’s something to consider in today’s world. The needs behind this are real—women need support after birth. But there are ways to meet those needs that work with the body: nutrient-dense foods for iron, rest and adequate nourishment for hormones, and strong support systems for mental health. At the end of the day, this isn’t about fear or judgment. It’s about slowing down, asking better questions, and making decisions from a place of clarity—not pressure. Eating the placenta after birth carries no health benefits, new study finds SHOW NOTES: The Sanctifed Womb article: Why You Might Want to Think Twice About Consuming the Placenta Postpartum as an Orthodox Christian — The Sanctified Womb Placenta is a dumping ground for genetic defects Deuteronomy 28 Christian Standard Bible Eating the placenta after birth carries no health benefits, new study finds Connect with the Holy Wild Birth team:

| A Radically Holy Birth (and Re-Birth)! || with Gemma | 01 avr. 2026 | 01:14:11 | |
This episode is a deeply personal conversation with Gemma, who shares her journey through birth work, loss, faith, and what it has meant for her to be transformed along the way. Gemma has spent over eight years in the birth world, moving between the medical system, traditional midwifery, and unassisted birth, while building a homesteading life in rural British Columbia. Her story opens with profound loss, carrying and birthing twins at home, followed by a hemorrhage that brought her face to face with surrender in a way she had never experienced before. Just two weeks later, she found herself pregnant again, stepping into a season where peace and fear coexisted in a very real way. She shares how her upbringing in New Age and how her previous births left her feeling physically overwhelmed and, at times, traumatized. There was a deep longing to be rescued from the intensity of it all, paired with the weight of feeling like she had to carry everything on her own. During this pregnancy, everything began to shift. Gemma describes encounters with Jesus through dreams and visions, even as she wrestled with resistance. A question stayed with her, “Who told you you couldn’t be saved?” It marked the beginning of releasing the need to prove her strength and allowing herself to receive help. Hearing other women’s stories of inviting Christ into their births gave her language for what that could look like & she began to lean into faith more intentionally, especially as she navigated concerning symptoms and long stretches of time alone while her husband worked as a train conductor, often gone 12 hours a day. When labor began, she eventually came up against a wall of fear. In that moment, she felt a sense of being given true choice, an invitation to continue or seek help, and she chose to surrender more deeply.. Alone, she describes it as peaceful, flowing, and effective in a way that surprised her. She shares candidly about navigating meconium-stained waters and then a larger amount appearing later, and how she worked through the emotions that came with that. Worship music became a powerful anchor throughout labor, and at one point, crying out to God brought an immediate shift in her body and spirit. As birth progressed, she realized her baby was breech. She describes feeling coached through the pushing phase, staying present and supported as she brought her baby into the world. Throughout the story, fear becomes something different than an obstacle. It becomes an invitation to lean in, to trust more deeply, and to continue surrendering. LINKS

| Behold, I Am Doing A New Thing || with Brandy | 18 févr. 2026 | 01:31:53 | |
We recorded this conversation on the anniversary of her sixth birth story — a sacred full-circle moment that set the tone for everything we shared. In this deeply vulnerable episode, Brandy opens her heart about the way God gently positioned her marriage and family to be ready to welcome new life. What looked ordinary at the time was actually divine preparation. During this pregnancy, she said yes to two big things:
Those decisions shaped not only her birth experience — but her spiritual formation in motherhood. We talk about the beauty and freedom of a wild pregnancy — where “prenatal care” meant whatever truly nourished her body, soul, and spirit. From our lakeside picnic prenatal visit to the quiet rhythms of listening and trusting, this pregnancy unfolded differently. She shares about:
We explore the sacred space at the end of pregnancy — the surrender, the unknown, the allowing things to flow instead of forcing. | Heart & Hands: Skills for Birthkeepers and Midwives | 11 févr. 2026 | 00:45:16
In this episode, we’re debriefing our recent Skills Workshop — It was everything birth education should be. We’re talking about: • Why we believe in failing fast to fail forward At HJ, we don’t just teach information. Because reading about birth is not the same as holding birth. Social media has created a generation of loud birth voices — but personality is not the same thing as embodied presence. Posting infographics doesn’t make you a birth keeper. Memorizing stats doesn’t make you safe in the room. Being a birth servant requires: – Hands-on anatomical understanding At our workshop, we practiced how we intend to show up. Links for show notes:

With travel on the calendar and meaningful work unfolding, we talk about what it looks like to tend the hearth when life is moving fast—and how the systems, relationships, and small comforts we build really do matter. Brooke is heading to Arkansas for an upcoming skills workshop, while also preparing for an interview with a reporter from WORLD Magazine. We reflect on what it means to steward both private life and public conversations with intention. From there, the conversation moves into home rhythms and support systems—how tools like shared calendars and simple home management structures can make a tangible difference, especially during seasons of solo parenting. We explore how these same dynamics show up in birth spaces too: trust, preparation, delegation, and knowing when to ask for help. We also touch on miscarriage recovery and the quiet power of community—how love can be held and felt even across long distances, and why being witnessed matters so deeply in loss. There’s practical comfort here too: wool sheepskins on the bed, hot water bottles for rest and recovery, and the grounding presence of natural materials in the home. Mentioned in this episode:

| Holding the Moment :: Birth Photography as Witness with Brooke Collier | 28 janv. 2026 | 00:45:03 | |
Birth is one of the most intimate, vulnerable, and powerful experiences a family will ever walk through. To invite someone into that space—especially someone holding a camera—requires trust, presence, and a deep understanding of birth itself.In this episode, we’re talking about birth photography: what it really means to witness birth from behind a lens, how this work is different from any other kind of photography, and why presence matters more than the perfect shot. We explore what draws people to birth photography in the first place, what you learn about labor and birth when you’re quietly observing it unfold, and why birth photography adds something profound for families long after the day itself has passed. We also get practical—talking equipment, settings, lighting, and the realities of photographing births in unpredictable, low-light environments. For photographers who already know their way around a camera, we share lessons learned over years of being in real birth rooms, not styled sessions. We talk about what qualifications birth photographers need that other professional photographers don’t—why understanding birth, consent, and emotional safety is just as important as technical skill. We spend time on what it actually looks like to be in the birth room: how to be present without hovering, how to observe without making a birthing woman feel observed, and how to move in a way that supports the energy of the space rather than disrupting it. We also tackle the ethics of birth photography—who owns birth photos, how sharing should be handled, and how to have clear, respectful conversations with families about consent, boundaries, and image use. This episode is for photographers, birth workers, and anyone who feels drawn to the quiet, sacred work of witnessing birth well. Shownotes:

| Beyond Disappointment:: Birth Trauma | 21 janv. 2026 | 00:55:31 | |
Birth is good. Birth is holy and wild. It is powerful, unpredictable, and not something we can fully control or make “safe” in the way modern culture often promises. When we forget that, we can be left confused or unprepared for how deeply a birth experience might impact us—even when everything looks fine from the outside. In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between disappointment and trauma in birth. Disappointment often comes from unmet hopes or expectations. Trauma goes deeper. Trauma is a deeply distressing experience—or series of experiences—that overwhelms the nervous system and leaves a lasting imprint on the body, the mind, and our sense of safety. And trauma is not defined by what happened on a chart. We talk about why it’s so important to process hard or intense birth experiences, and why this work should be done with someone who understands both birth and trauma. Not someone who rushes to silver linings or spiritual bypassing—but someone who knows how to sit with the body’s story and help it integrate what happened. We share supportive tools that can help the nervous system come back into regulation, including:
We also touch on surprisingly practical tools like playing Tetris in the early aftermath of a hard experience, which has been shown to support memory integration. This conversation includes pieces of our own stories:
We also talk about prevention—how having the right team, realistic expectations, and emotional support can cushion the wildness of birth. Birth does not need to be controlled to be held well. But it does need to be witnessed, respected, and supported.This episode is an invitation to approach birth honestly: Connect:

| Be The Crazy Ones:: A Conversation About Vasectomy Reversal w/ Cody and Carlee Fletcher | 14 janv. 2026 | 00:58:47 | |
In a world where birth is often defined by medical intervention and fear-based decision-making, Cody and Carly Fletcher’s story offers a powerful return to trust—trust in God, in the body, and in the natural design of birth. In this episode, Brooke Collier sits down with Cody and Carly as they share their journey from hospital births to home birth, and the unexpected path that led them there—including a vasectomy, a canceled appointment, and ultimately, a vasectomy reversal prompted by a clear conviction from the Lord. The couple experienced eye-opening moments around informed consent, intervention, and trust in the birth process. Their preparation culminated in a transformative ten-hour home birth, marked by peace, confidence, and joy unlike anything they had experienced before. Carly also opens up about surrendering control in family planning, trusting Cody’s leadership, and walking through the faith-filled decision to reverse the vasectomy—an act of obedience that bore fruit not only in their family, but in their marriage and walk with God. This episode is an honest, hope-filled conversation for anyone wrestling with surrender, fear, obedience, or the belief that it might be “too late” for God to move. resources & links mentioned:

| Cup of Tea:: Christmas, Conviction, and What We’re Building Next | 07 janv. 2026 | 01:00:30 | |
In this episode, we’re settling into the slower, more reflective rhythm of the Christmas season and pushing back on the cultural pressure to rush ahead into “new year” mode before it’s time. We talk through the Christmas traditions and observances in our own families and churches, and why honoring the full liturgical season matters—especially in a world that’s always eager to move on too quickly. Along the way, we unpack why January is not actually the new year, and how reclaiming sacred time shapes the way we live, worship, and build. We also address recent developments within MAHA, including a response to Abigail Iovine and why it’s important to stay informed and engaged. If you’ve been wondering how to take action or understand what’s happening behind the scenes, this conversation provides context and next steps. Finally, we share an update on what’s coming next for us, including the launch of a brand new website—with more features and resources being added slowly and intentionally over the coming months.

| REPLAY: A Good Birth Attendant Is... | 23 déc. 2025 | 00:45:44 | |
Here's another oldie that's a goodie we're offering up as a replay with a freshly recorded introduction. In this episode, we dive into what makes a good birth attendant (doula, birthkeeper, midwife)? As a mother, how do I recognize one? Or, as an aspiring birthworker, how do I become one? Where can I learn to do this holy work? These questions and variations of, are things we hear often and have lead to some great conversations. These conversations sparked a project that we first revealed in this episode in the summer of 2023! Tune in to hear our thoughts, hearts and what we're offering to the birth world for women of faith who want to uphold God's design for birth. Mentioned in this episode:

| REPLAY: The Way of the Hearthmother | 10 déc. 2025 | 01:39:31 | |
We're re-playing some of our favorite episodes during the month of December, and today that's the episode that ended up becoming the launching pad and scaffolding for some of our most important work in the world: the Way of the Hearthmother. Given to Lauren as a sort of "Holy Spirit download" years ago, this episode is the first time she spelled it all out in detail for our listeners (and for Brooke). It's made such an impact on our listeners in the past, and is making such an impact on our students. We can't wait for you to hear it. Mentioned in this episode:

| Risked Out, Lifted Up - A Christ-Centered Freebirth After Gestational Diabetes || with Nicole | 26 nov. 2025 | 01:05:31 | |
In this powerful episode, we sit down with Nicole (@nicole_keilani)—a mother of three, former New Ager transformed by Jesus, and now a devoted birthkeeper—whose birth journey will encourage any mom navigating fear-based labels or “high-risk” diagnoses. After being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and risked out of midwifery care, Nicole found herself facing medical pressure, limited options, and the familiar “you can’t have a homebirth” narrative. Instead of surrendering to fear, she turned to Scripture, her husband’s leadership, deep research, and the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit. What followed was a beautiful, precipitous freebirth at home, free of complications and full of God’s presence. Nicole shares what she learned about trusting God over protocols, the wide spectrum of maternity care—from hospitals to homebirth to unassisted birth—and how this experience inspired her to become a birthkeeper and now an HJ student preparing for her fourth homebirth. This episode is rich with faith, courage, personal responsibility, and a reminder that your provider should serve you, not the system. | Beyond Morning Sickness: HG, Nervous System & Nourishment | 19 nov. 2025 | 00:56:54
In this transformative episode, Brooke sits down with Jes— a holistic Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) coach, root-cause practitioner, and home-birth mother— to discuss a new way forward for women experiencing severe nausea in pregnancy. Jes shares her personal healing journey, how she entered the world of holistic pregnancy support, and why so many women with HG are dismissed within conventional care. Together, they dig into the deeper layers of HG through a root-cause pregnancy and functional medicine lens. Jes breaks down the clues behind HG: antihistamine pathways, B6, minerals, nutrient co-factors, and how modalities like TCM, GNM, Ayurvedic wisdom, and Western medicine can blend to offer more complete holistic pregnancy care. They also explore how to differentiate standard morning sickness from true HG, the biological purpose of nausea and vomiting, and the impact of underlying factors such as H. pylori, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and chronic depletion. Jes introduces her newest offering, The Human Blueprint, and shares supportive, accessible approaches for women seeking natural HG relief, functional pregnancy support, and deeper understanding during early pregnancy. If you want a compassionate, evidence-informed, and holistic perspective on HG, this episode is essential listening. Where to Find Jes: Connect:

| Connection & Reverence: In Puberty As in Birth | 22 oct. 2025 | 01:17:15 | |
What if puberty was never meant to be awkward, clinical, or confusing—but sacred? In this beautiful and thought-provoking conversation, former middle school teacher turned puberty mentor Megan of Body Talk Basics joins us to explore how our culture has stripped connection out of puberty education—and how she’s bringing it back in. After years of watching young teens wrestle with shame and silence around their changing bodies, Megan realized that the real missing piece wasn’t more diagrams or data—it was connection. Connection to self, to community, and to the divine design of the body itself. Together, we talk about what it looks like to return reverence to the puberty transition—to see it not as an inconvenience, but as a holy initiation into self-awareness, nourishment, and the sacred responsibility of caring for one’s body. Megan helps us recognize the parallels between puberty, pregnancy, and postpartum—each a profound initiation that calls us deeper into trust, surrender, and partnership with God. We explore the universal truths about the body that resonate with people of all beliefs—how the language of the body plants quiet seeds of faith and wonder, subtly shifting how we see God’s character reflected in every stretch, bleed, ache, and renewal. Megan also shares her personal story of transformation: from being birth-phobic to becoming a joyful “birth evangelist.” Her first free birth unfolded as a prayerful partnership with God—nine nights of prodromal labor, whispered mantras of “Good job, baby. Thank you, God. Yes.” and the tender spiritual companionship of St. Olga, whom she calls her spiritual midwife (link to her story) This episode is an invitation to remember that the body tells the truth of God’s design—and that every threshold, from puberty to postpartum, is a doorway back to reverence, responsibility, and joy. ✨ Get Megan’s Body Talk Basics course using code SISTERBIRTH to save 10%! | Faith, Intuition, and Trisomy 18 || with Marisol | 15 oct. 2025 | 01:09:03
In this profound and grace-filled episode, Marisol Ross opens her heart and shares the story of her second child’s birth — a redemptive and holy experience that reshaped her understanding of trust, surrender, and God’s design for motherhood. After being induced with her first baby, Marisol longed for a different kind of birth — one marked by peace, trust, and reverence for the way God created her body to work. Her second birth unfolded at home, in the most serene and beautiful setting, surrounded by quiet faith and deep intuition. It was everything she had hoped for — the kind of birth that brings healing and restoration. But soon after her son’s arrival, he struggled to breathe. What began as a gentle home birth quickly shifted as they transferred to the NICU, where Marisol and her husband learned that their son had a rare genetic condition called Trisomy 18. Doctors told them they might only have a few weeks with him. Yet, in God’s goodness, their son continues to thrive — now ten months old and full of life, light, and purpose. Marisol’s journey is one of redemption and revelation — a testimony of trusting in God’s perfect design, listening to a mother’s intuition, and parenting with eternity in mind. Her story reminds us that even when the path looks nothing like we imagined, the Holy Spirit is near in every breath, guiding us through both the beauty and the breaking. This conversation is a tender invitation to see birth as sacred, to trust that redemption is possible even after disappointment, and to believe that every life — no matter how brief or unexpected — carries eternal weight and holy purpose. From breaking down what goes into a midwife’s fee to unpacking the unseen hours, emotional labor, and sacred holding of women — this is a tender, fiery episode about money, mindset, and meaning. If you’ve ever wondered: …this episode will help you see the full picture. Join us for a conversation that honors the holy work of midwives, the true cost of birth, and the the wild abundance that comes from choosing care that honors the way God designed birth.
