8. Karin Austin—The challenges of contact
Episode 67
jeudi 15 août 2024 • Duration 01:45:29
Karin Austin is presently the Executive Director of the John E. Mack Institute, but a quarter of a century ago she worked with Dr. John Mack to try to understand her contact experiences. In this episode, we dig deep into Dr. Mack's role in this mystery, and also the challenges of what it means to experience something so profoundly strange that it might be impossible to truly understand what that means. She is also working with Rice University as the project manager for the Archives of The Impossible, where she works with Professor Jeffrey Kripal, who should be no stranger to anyone who has made it to this page.
Karin is a thoughtful and passionate voice for the experiencer community. She has worked to share her own deeply personal and complex memories in ways that can be understood, and that can—hopefully—change our world.

THE UNSEEN, an excerpt from the audiobook
Episode 58
mercredi 7 juin 2023 • Duration 16:10
I've been recording myself reading THE UNSEEN for an audiobook, and I want to share what I can along the way. This is a 16-minute excerpt where I read the prologue, and this sets up the rest of the story. It's been a fun challenge to act out the roles and play up the drama. The book has been selling well, and the reviews have been wonderful. As a first-time novelist, I was SO worried that nobody would get the story I was trying to tell.
