Christopher’s House

I was really bummed when Christopher moved away three years ago. We were both around seven then. We used to spend hours playing with our Star Wars action figures and dueling with our lightsabers. I miss that.
Last spring we drove over to Christopher’s house in Bridgeport. Me and Christopher were looking for snacks in the kitchen,and I heard Mom talking to Lisa,Christopher’s mom,about my going to school in the fall. I had never, ever heard her mention school before.
“What are you talking about?” I said.
Mom looked surprised, like she hadn’t meant for me to hear that.
“You should tell him what you’ve been thinking, Isabel,”Dad said. He was on the other side of the living room talking to Christopher’s dad.
“We should talk about this later,”said Mom.
“No, I want to know what you were talking about,” I answered.
“Don’t you think you’re ready for school,Auggie?”Mom said.
“No,” I said.
“I don’t, either,”said Dad.
“Then that’s it, case closed,” I said,shrugging, and I sat in her lap like I was a baby.
“I just think you need to learn more than I can teach you,”Mom said.”I mean, come on, Auggie, you know how bad I am at fractions!”
“What school?”I said. I already felt like crying.
“Beecher Prep. Right by us.”
“Wow, that’s a great school, Auggie,”said Lisa,patting my knee.
“Why not Via’s school?”I said.
“That’s too big,”Mom answered.”I don’t think that would be a good fit for you.”
“I don’t want to,” I said. I admit: I made my voice sound a little babyish.
“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do,” Dad said, coming over and lifting me out of Mom’s lap. He carried me over to sit on his lap on the other side of the sofa. “We won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do.”
“But it would be good for him, Nate,” Mom said.
“Not if he doesn’t want to,”answered Dad,looking at me.”Not if he’s not ready.”
I saw Mom look at Lisa, who reached over and squeezed her hand.
“You guys will figure it out,”she said to Mom. “You always have.”
“Let’s just talk about it later,”said Mom. I could tell she and Dad were going to get in a fight about it. I wanted Dad to win the fight. Though a part of me knew Mom was right. And the truth is,she really was terrible at fractions.

How I Came to life


I like when Mom tells this story because it makes me laugh so much. It’s not funny in the way a joke is funny, but when Mom tells it,Via and I just start cracking up.
So when I was in my mom’s stomach,no one had any idea I would come out looking the way I look. Mom had had Via four years before, and that had been such a “walk in the park”that there was no reason to run any special tests. About two months before I was born, the doctors realized there was something wrong with my face,but they didn’t think it was going to be bad. They told Mom and Dad I had a cleft palate and some other stuff going on.They called it”small anomalies.”
There were two nurses in the delivery room the night I was born. One was very nice and sweet. The other one, Mom said, did not seem at all nice or sweet. She had very big arms and,she kept farting. Like,she’d bring Mom some ice chips,and then fart. She’d check Mom’s blood pressure, and fart. Mom says it was unbelievable because the nurse never even said excuse me! Meanwhile, Mom’s regular doctor wasn’t on duty that night,so Mom got stuck with this cranky kid doctor she and Dad nicknamed Doogie after some old TV show or something.But Mom says that even though everyone in the room was kind of grumpy,Dad kept making her laugh all night long.
When I came out of Mom’s stomach,she said the whole room got very quiet. Mom didn’t even get a chance to look at me because the nice nurse immediately rushed me out of the room. Dad was in such a hurry to follow her that he dropped the video camera,which broke into a million pieces.And then Mom got very upset and tried to get out of bed to see where they were going, but the farting nurse put her very big arms on Mom to keep her down in the bed. They were practically fighting, because Mom was hysterical and the farting nurse was yelling at her to stay calm,and then they both started screaming for the doctor. But guess what?He had fainted! Right on the floor!So when the farting nurse saw that he had fainted,she started pushing him with her foot to get him to wake up,yelling at him the whole time:”What kind of doctor are you?What kind of doctor are you?Get up! Get up!”And then all of a sudden she let out the biggest,loudest,smelliest fart in the history of farts. Mom thinks it was actually the fart that finally woke the doctor up.Anyway, when Mom tells this story,she acts out all the parts-including the farting noises-and it is so,so,so,so funny!
Mom says the farting nurse turned out to be a very nice woman. She stayed with Mom the whole time. Didn’t leave her side even after Dad came back and the doctors told them how sick I was. Mom remembers exactly what the nurse whispered in her ear when the doctor told her I probably wouldn’t live through the night:”Everyone born of God overcomes the world.”And the next day, after I had lived through the night, it was that nurse who held Mom’s hand when they brought her to meet me for the first time.
Mom says by then they had told her all about me. She had been preparing herself for the seeing of me.But she says that when she looked down into my tiny mushed-up face for the first time, all she could see was how pretty my eyes were.
Mom is beautiful, by the way. And Dad is handsome. Via is pretty. In case you were wondering.

Chapter Four

Alice’s Evidence


“Oops!”Alice said as she tipped over the jury box with her skirt. She was big now.

All the jury fell out. Alice put them back in their box.

“What do you know about these tarts?”asked the King.

“Nothing,”said Alice.

“That’s very important,”said the King.

The White Rabbit said to the jury,

“The King means, unimportant.”

The jury was confused.

They wrote down both words:

important,unimportant.

The King looked at Alice carefully and said,

“Rule forty-two, all people over a mile high must leave the court.”

“I’m not a mile high,”said Alice.

“You’re almost two miles high,”said the Queen.

“Anyway, I’m not leaving.

You made that rule just now,”said Alice.

“That’s the oldest rule in the book,”said the King.

“Then it should be Rule Number One,”answered Alice.

The King’s face went white,

But he let Alice stay.

“Oh,we’ve just found this letter!”

said the White Rabbit,jumping up in a great hurry.

“What’s in the letter?”asked the King.

“I haven’t opened it yet,”said the White Rabbit.

“Maybe the Knave wrote it,”said the Queen.

“No, I didn’t. There’s no name signed,”cried the Knave.

“Didn’t you? It only makes the matter worse.

You did a bad thing or you’d have signed your name like an honest man,”said the King.

“Read it to us,”said the Queen.

Then the White Rabbit read it from the beginning to the end.

That was just a poem,but the King said,

“That’s a very important piece of evidence.

Now the jury must...”

“No,no.It doesn’t mean anything,”Alice said to the jury.

The jury was quite confused,but they continued writing.

“Now the jury must decide who the thief is,”said the King.

“No!Off with the Knave’s head! The jury can say what it thinks later,”cried the Queen.

“How foolish she is!The jury must decide first.

You can’t do that!”said Alice loudly.

“Be quiet!”said the Queen turning red.

“I won’t be quiet!”said Alice.

“Off with her head!”shouted the Queen.

“It doesn’t matter what you say.

You’re only a pack of cards!”Alice shouted back.

Suddenly, the whole pack of cards rose up.

They came flying down upon Alice.

She tried to beat them off.

“Ahhh!”

Alice found herself with her head in her sister’s lap.

“Wake up,Alice. You’ve had such a long nap!”

said her sister.

“I had a very strange dream,”said Alice.

"Let's go home.We will have some tea,"said her sister.

Alice was thinking about her adventures in Wonderland:

the White Rabbit hurrying by,

the frightened Mouse splashing in the water,

the strange birds by the pool of tears,

the Hatter and the March Hare’s mad tea party,

the angry Queen,

And the not-very-smart King.

In the garden, Alice saw the King and Queen of Hearts.

There were many little birds and animals, as well as a pack of cards. The Knave of Hearts was standing in chains before them.

And the White Rabbit was standing near the King.

The White Rabbit had a trumpet in one hand and a paper in the other.

In the middle of the room,there was a large dish of tarts.

“Hmm, they look so yummy. I’m hungry,”said Alice.

Alice looked around the room.

“Ah-ha! This must be a courtroom!

Maybe the Knave of Hearts stole the tarts,”she said.

The King wore a white wig with his crown on top.

“He is the judge,and the twelve birds and animals are the jury,”said Alice.

The jury was writing on the note pad.

Alice looked over the shoulders and said,

“Why are they writing their names?”

“So they won’t forget them,”said an animal next to Alice.

“How foolish they are!”Alice said.

Suddenly,the White Rabbit cried,“Quiet, please!”

“Read the paper!”the King said.

The White Rabbit blew his trumpet three times,and read from the paper:

The Queen of Hearts,

She made some tarts,

all on a summer day;

The Knave of Hearts,

He stole those tarts,

and took them quite away.

“Cut off his head!”cried the Queen.

“Not yet, not yet! We have to call people into the room and ask them questions,”

the White Rabbit said in a hurry.

“All right then,”said the King.

The Rabbit blew his trumpet three times and cried out,

“The Hatter!”

Then the Hatter came in with a teacup and some bread-and-butter.

“Take off your hat,”said the King.

“It’s not mine,”said the Hatter.

“Stolen!Write that down,”the King said to the jury.

“No,no! I keep hats to sell. I’m a hatter,”

the Hatter explained. He looked very afraid.

“Don’t be afraid, or I’ll cut off your head,”said the King.

The Hatter bit a large piece of his teacup instead of the bread.

He was saying something, but nobody could understand a word of it.

Finally, the King said,“You can go.”

The Hatter left the room in a hurry.

Alice did not feel very well.

“What’s wrong with me?” she said to herself.

Oh! She was getting bigger again.

“Oh, my! You’re growing bigger,”said the Dormouse.

He was sitting next to her.

“I can’t do anything,”said Alice.

“You can’t get bigger here,”said the Dormouse.

“Yes,I can!”said Alice.

But Alice wasn’t worried at all.

The Dormouse was already asleep.

“Call the next person!”shouted the King.

The White Rabbit looked at his paper,

and read the next name,“Alice!”

Alice was very surprised and jumped up.

“There’s plenty of room!”

“Oh, my watch says Monday,”sighed the Hatter.

“It’s a strange watch! It tells you the day,but it doesn’t tell you the time,”said Alice.

“So?Does your watch tell you the year?”asked the Hatter.

“No,”Alice answered, “but it’s the same year for a very long time.”

“And my watch doesn’t tell the time because it’s always tea-time,”said the Hatter.

“I don’t really understand,”said Alice to herself.

The March Hare and the Hatter were getting bored.

“Dormouse, tell us a story!”they woke him up.

“Once upon a time, there were three sisters.

Their names were Elsie, Lacie, and Tillie.

They were learning to draw,”said the Dormouse.

“What did they draw?”asked Alice.

The Dormouse was getting sleepy.

“They drew things beginning with the letter M.Like mousetraps, the moon and muchness,”

the Dormouse said and fell asleep.

“What is muchness?”Alice asked but nobody answered.

“This is a stupid tea party,”Alice looked angry.

Finally, she got up and walked away.

Alice looked back,hoping the March Hare and the Hatter would call after her. But they didn’t say anything.

They were trying to put the Dormouse into the teapot!

Alice saw a big tree with a door in it.

“That’s strange,”she said,“I’ll go into the tree.”

The door in the tree led her to the long hallway again.

She picked up the little golden key.

She found the small door and unlocked it.

“I can go into the garden now!”shouted Alice.

Finally, she was in the beautiful garden.

It was full of beautiful flowers and nice fountains.

She saw a little mouse splashing in the water.

Shaking with fear, the Mouse swam quickly away.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Please come back, Mouse.

I will never talk about cats again,” Alice said softly.

The Mouse swam back to Alice and they swam to the shore together.

There were many strange birds and animals on the shore.

They were all wet, so they started thinking of a way to get dry.

“Let me tell a story. By the end of the story we will be dry,”said the Mouse.

The story was really long,but everyone was still wet.

“Brrr!”Alice said as she shivered with cold.

The Dodo, a big ugly bird,said,

“Let’s have a Caucus Race.”

No one knew what a Caucus Race was.

The animals and birds just ran in a circle.

After half an hour, the Dodo cried out,“It is over!”

Then everyone was dry.

Alice asked the Mouse to continue his story.

The Mouse told a long poem, but it was boring.

Alice didn’t listen.

The Mouse was angry and walked away.

“Please come back,”said Alice,

but the Mouse didn’t answer.

“Oh, where is Dinah? I wish she was with me,”said Alice.

“Who is Dinah?”asked the Dodo.

“Dinah is my cat.She is a great bird hunter-Oh, I’m sorry!”

It was too late.

The animals and birds started leaving.

Alice was alone again.

She saw a small golden key on a glass table.

The key unlocked a small door.

Alice saw a beautiful garden outside the small door.

“I want to go into the garden,but I am too big,”she said.

Then Alice found a bottle with the words

“DRINK ME”on it. She drank from it.

“Oh, I am getting smaller and smaller,”she cried.

Finally, Alice was small enough to go through the door,

But she left the golden key on the table.

Next, Alice found a piece of cake with the words”EAT ME”on it. She ate it.

“Oh, I am getting bigger and bigger,” she cried.

Thump!Her head hit the roof of the hall.

She was too big to go into the garden.

She cried and cried.

Soon her tears made a big pool.

In a few moments, the White Rabbit ran by her. He had a pair of gloves and a fan.

Alice asked him for help,“Please, Sir...”

“Oh, my!”

The White Rabbit dropped the gloves and the fan in surprise.

Then he ran away.

She tells him everything.

“Be kind to him. Give him a drink tonight,”says Aladdin.

The magician comes to the Princess.

“Let’s drink together,”says the Princess.

She puts some sleeping powder in his cup.

But he doesn’t know it.

“Cheers!”The magician drinks it and falls asleep.

Aladdin gets the lamp again.

He rubs it and the genie comes out of it.

“Take this palace, my wife and me back!”says Aladdin.

“And I don’t want to see the magician again.”Soon the palace is back.

Aladdin and the Princess are back, too.

They don’t see the bad magician again.

They live happily ever after.

Aladdin is not at home.

“New lamps for old lamps!”he says.

“My husband has an old and dirty lamp.

I want a new lamp,”says the Princess.

She gives the magic lamp to the old man.

“Aha! Now I have the magic lamp!”says the magician.

He rubs the lamp. Pop!The genie comes out of it!

“What can I do for you?”asks the genie.

“Take away the palace and the Princess,”

says the magician.

“Yes,sir.”

Aladdin comes back. He is very surprised.

His palace is gone! The Princess is gone, too!

“Where is the Princess?”shouts the King.

“Find her, or you will die.”

They live in the great house for many years.

Now Aladdin is a handsome young man.

One day Aladdin goes to the town.

There he sees the Princess.

“Oh,she is very beautiful,”says Aladdin.

He falls in love with her. He wants to marry her.

Aladdin goes to the King.

“I want to marry the Princess,”he says.

“Bring me forty servants with forty bowls of jewels.

And build a golden palace next to mine. Then you can marry her,”says the King.

Aladdin goes back home and he rubs the lamp.

He tells the genie everything.

The next day Aladdin goes to the King.

Forty servants follow him with forty bowls of jewels.

Aladdin shows the golden palace to the King.

“Great! You can marry the Princess,”says the King.

Aladdin and the Princess get married. They live in the golden palace.

Chapter One

Aladdin Meets a Bad Magician


There lives a poor boy with his mother.

His name is Aladdin.

One day he meets a man.

“I’m your uncle. Would you like to work for me?”asks the man.

“Oh,yes!”says Aladdin.

Oh,no! The man is a bad magician.

The magician takes Aladdin to the hill.

He makes a fire.

Then he throws a magic powder on it.

He says some magic words, too.

Pop! A flat and round stone appears!

The magician lifts the stone.

Aladdin sees a small hole.“Go down to the hole.

There you will see a room of gold,”says the magician.

“Go through the room. Don’t take any gold.

Then you will see a garden. Go through the garden.

You will see a lamp there. Bring me that lamp!

Put this ring on your finger. It can help you.”

Aladdin goes down.

There is a lot of gold, but he doesn’t take any of it.

Soon he finds the lamp in the garden.

He comes back to the entrance with the lamp.

“Give me the lamp,”says the magician.

“Let me out first!”says Aladdin.

“No. Give me the lamp first!”the magician shouts.

“Oh,no! Let me out first!”Aladdin shouts, too.

The magician gets angry. He places the stone back over the hole and goes away.

Aladdin is alone.

He is scared and he is cold.So he rubs his hands.

Then he happens to rub the ring.

Pop!A big genie appears! This is a surprise!

“I’m the genie of the ring!

What can I do for you?”he says.

“Take me home!”Aladdin says.

At that time Peter jumps up from behind the crocodile.

The crocodile falls into the sea.

“P....Peter Pan! Are you alive?”shouts Captain Hook.

“Of course.”

Peter cuts the children’s ropes.

The children fight the Pirates. Soon the Pirates run away.

Peter fights Hook. Finally Hook falls into the crocodile’s mouth.

“Hooray! Hooray!”

All the children shout. They sing and dance.

However, Wendy says,

“I love all of you, but I want to go home.”

“I miss Mommy,”say John and Michael.

Peter is sad, but he says,

“OK. Let’s go to London. The Lost Boys can go with you.”

Mrs. Darling is very happy. She says,

“Welcome, Lost Boys. Now we are one big family.”

The Lost Boys are very happy to hear that, too.

“Peter, live here with us,”says Wendy.

“No, I will always live in Neverland,”says Peter.

Then Peter Pan and Tinker Bell fly out the window.

Mrs. Darling and the children watch them until they are as small as stars.

Peter tiptoes quietly over to the ship.

He cuts the rope and sets her free.

Hook jumps at Peter.

He was hiding around a corner on the ship.

Peter and Hook start to fight.

Peter chases Hook on the rocks.

Oh,no! Peter slips and falls.

“Yahoo! Peter is dead,”smiles Hook.

Then he goes away.

Peter is hurt,but he is alive.

“Are you all right, Peter?”cries Wendy.

“Yes, I am OK,”says Peter.

Wendy and her brothers take him to the Lost Boys.

Peter is tired from the battle with Hook.

And he falls asleep.

“Let’s go outside and play,”says Wendy.

“OK!”say the Lost Boys.

Then they go out.

But the Pirates are waiting for them.

“Tie them up!”shouts Hook.

Tinker Bell sees everything.

She flies to Peter and wakes him up,

“Captain Hook took the children to the ship!”

“Hook is shooting a cannon! Tinker Bell, take the children to the Lost Boys,”shouts Peter.

But Tinker Bell is very jealous of Wendy.

“Peter likes only Wendy,”she says to herself.

She flies to the Lost Boys before the children.

“Shoot the girl! She is bad,” Tinker Bell says to them.

The Lost Boys shoot Wendy with arrows.

Thump! Wendy falls to the ground.

“Oh, no! Wendy , wake up!” Peter shouts.

He thinks Wendy is dead.

He shouts to Tinker Bell,“Go away and never come back!”

Suddenly John and Michael shout,

“Wendy moves her hands! She is alive!”

Peter takes the arrow out of the acorn necklace.

“It saved her life,”smiles Peter.

Peter, her brothers and the Lost Boys are happy.

Life on the island is interesting.

John,Michael and the Lost Boys become good friends.

They play and sing most of the time.

Wendy cares for the Lost Boys.

She cooks and cleans for them.

She looks like a mother to them.

“Who is Peter Pan?” asks Mrs. Darling.

“He lives in Neverland and he can fly,”

Answers Wendy.

Mrs. Darling smiles.

She doesn’t believe Peter Pan is a real boy.

The children sleep deeply. Mrs. Darling is sewing in the room. The family dog is sitting at her feet.

Suddenly the window blows open.

And a boy comes into the room.

“Oh, my!” shouts Mrs. Darling.

Growl! The dog jumps at the boy.

Quickly the boy flies out the window.

But the dog bites off his shadow.

“He must be Peter Pan,” says Mrs. Darling.

Peter comes back to the room with Tinker Bell.

He wants to put his shadow back on his body.

“Oh,no! It doesn’t stick,” cries Peter.

“What is this noise?”

Wendy wakes up.

“Is that Peter? Oh, I can help you.”

She sews Peter’s shadow on to his body.

“Thank you, Wendy. This is my present.”

Peter gives an acorn button to Wendy.

“It’s pretty,”says Wendy. She makes a necklace with it.

“Peter, what is that light?”asks Wendy.

“Oh, this is my friend, Tinker Bell. She is a fairy,”

Answers Peter.

“Hi, Tinker Bell,” says Wendy.

But Tinker Bell just says,

“Peter, let’s go back to Neverland.”

“Wendy,let’s go to Neverland together,” says Peter.

“Can I go with my brothers?”asks Wendy.

“Sure,”answers Peter.

“Wake up, John! Michael! Peter Pan is here!”

shouts Wendy.

“What? Hi, Peter,”say John and Michael.

Then all of them fly to the sky.

“Oh, silly girl!”

The witch looks into the oven.

Then Gretel pushes her into the oven.

Gretel runs to the cage and opens it.

“The wicked witch is dead!”she shouts.

Hansel and Gretel are very happy.

They find some jewels and money in the witch’s house.

“Let’s take them with us,”says Hansel.

The children come out of the house.

They walk down the path.

Soon they come to a wide river.

But there is no boat.

They see a duck in the river.

“Little Duck, will you take us across the river?”they ask.

The duck takes them across the river one by one.

Hansel and Gretel arrive at their home.

“Oh, Hansel and Gretel, you’re back,”says their father.“Your stepmother is dead.”

The children give their father jewels and money

Now they are not poor anymore.

Hansel, Gretel and their father live happily ever after.

She gives them a small piece of bread.

It is their last lunch.

The family goes deep into the forest.

Hansel drops bread crumbs along the path.

“Rest and sleep here. We will come back soon,”says the stepmother.

The children are very tired and they fall asleep.

They wake up at night.

But their parents don’t come back.

“Let’s wait until the moon rises.

Then we will follow the bread crumbs,”says Hansel.

Soon the moon rises.

But they can’t find the bread crumbs.

The birds ate them all.

Hansel and Gretel get lost.

Oh,poor children!

They walk and walk all night.

But they can’t get out of the forest.

They are very hungry and tired.

They can’t walk anymore.

They lie down under a tree and they fall asleep.

The children eat the food and they fall asleep.

The old woman is a wicked witch.

She likes to eat children.

“Ha-ha! I will fatten them up and eat them.”

Next morning the witch locks Hansel in a cage.

She wakes Gretel.

“Make some food for your brother.

When he is fat, I will eat him!”she says.

Every day Gretel cooks food for Hansel.

Every day the wicked witch says,

“Hansel, stretch out you finger.

Let me feel your finger.

When you are fat, I will eat you!”

But the witch is blind. Hansel knows that.

Every day he gives her a thin chicken bone.

The witch waited for a month.

“Hansel is still thin. I can’t wait!”says the witch.

“Tomorrow I will cook Hansel.”

Gretel is very afraid. She cries and cries.

“Shut up,or I will eat you, too!”shouts the witch.

He picks up small and white stones.

And he put them in his pockets.

Next morning the family walks into the forest.

Hansel quietly drops stones along the path.

The family is in the middle of the forest.

The stepmother says to the children,

“Lie down here and rest. We will cut some wood.

Wait until we come back.”

Their parents go deep into the forest.

Hansel and Gretel lie down and they fall asleep.

They wake up at night.

But their parents don’t come back.

Gretel is afraid and cries.

“Let’s wait until the moon is up,” says Hansel.

Soon the moon come up.

The stones shine in the moonlight.

The children follow them.

They arrive at their home at dawn.

“Brave Knight,come and have a meal with my friends.

Please stay with us tonight,”says Robin.

“Thank you,” says the knight.

The knight has a good meal with Robin and the Merry

Men.

Robbin says to the knight,

“Many people are dying from hunger.

They pay much money to King John and his

Sheriffs. King John is very cruel and greedy.”

“What? Oh, that’s too bad,” says the knight.

“We are outlaws, but we help the poor people.

We are waiting for the good King Richard,”says Robin.

“My friends, uhm.... I’ m King Richard.

I’m returning home from the war,” says King Richard.

Robin and the Merry Men are very surprised.

They become silent, but soon they laugh and cheer.

“Welcome home! Long live King Richard!”

“Now you are my men.

You are not outlaws anymore,”says King Richard.

The next day King Richard, Robin Hood,

and the Merry Men leave Sherwood Forest.

King Richard becomes the king of England again.

Robin and the Merry Men return to their homes.

They will always remember the beautiful Sherwood Forest.

Everyone wants the golden arrow.

Robin wants the golden arrow, too.

“I’m the best archer in England. I can win the golden arrow!”says Robin to the Merry Men.

“No, Robin. Don’t go! It’s a trap,” says Little John.

“I have a plan. I will dress as a farmer.

Then nobody will know I’m Robin Hood,” laughs Robin.

It is the archery contest day.

A farmer is going to the town.

The farmer is Robin Hood.

There are many good archers in the contest.

But the farmer is the best archer.

The farmer wins the golden arrow.

He bends on his knees for the arrow.

Then the Sheriff sees green clothes

under the farmer’s clothes.

“Stop! The farmer is Robin Hood. Catch him!”

shouts the Sheriff.

Robin quickly takes the golden arrow.

“You cannot catch me!” he shouts.

Robin runs away to Sherwood Forest.
