Sex is a gift from God, given to you with intention and purpose. We’re continuing in the summer series, educating ourselves on our body so that we can live in a more celebratory tone when it comes to how we think about our bodies, our femininity and our sexuality. 

 Common views of sex are are often achored in the cultural assumption that sex = erection, entry, thrusting, ejeculation, resolution. Sex is a much more beautiful, layered and fruitful experience. And, the female body is created with incredible responses to complement the male response.

Let’s talk about image bearing power, because what your body reveals is really good news. As you teach your children to watch for the cultural cues that seek to elevate ideas that don’t align with God’s goodness, let’s look at the good news that the body itself reveals.

 

God uses visible things to reveal what is invisible about His nature. This is true for your body. You can see something about our invisible God through the body. We can know God by observing the things He has made. 

 

Sexuality and gender is like a clue to show us what God is like and how we can show God to others through the body. 

 

Your body is good! Let’s lean in to the good news shown through theology of the body.

Do you want to know how to effectively lead your kids into truth during this confusing time in our culture? It begins with understanding the meaning of what it is to be human…and it starts with YOU.
