Bonus episode: Finding Connection is the missing piece to trauma recovery

Season 2 · Episode 24

mardi 28 avril 2026Duration 41:43

In this episode, Natalie is back with another bonus episode on why finding connection is a crucial component to trauma recovery. She discusses her experience doing a 3 day live event on Instagram called Finding connection, covering connection to self, others, and the earth. If you've been feeling disconnected in any area of your life, this episode is for you!

Here are a few topics Natalie unpacks in this episode:

  • Finding Connection and why it is so crucial for trauma recovery
  • Connection to self
  • Connection to relationships
  • Connection to communtiy
  • Connection to the earth
  • Her group program Recovering Connection and ways it can support you in deepening this work

Exploration prompts mentioned:

  1. Imagine the connection you have to yourself as an image. That could be a texture, rock, color, plant, weather pattern, etc. What information does that give you about how it feels and if there is anything you would like to change?
    • Intention: we are externalizing the way you feel about how you connect with you. This gives you the opportunity to look at it with less judgement, and more curiosity.
  2. What are some of your favorite ways to connect with other people? Let yourself be as creative and specific as you'd like. Do you feel like you're able to engage in those types of connections? Why or why not?
  3. Where in nature do you find yourself feeling the most grounded? That could be an imaginary place you go in meditation, or a literal place you visit. What elements (earth, air, water, fire, spirit) are present in this place?
