Single Mom Be Like - Andrea • Single Mom Mentor

Today's episode is with the amazing Andrea who is a successful single mom mentor. She helps mom seek healing and gives them room to look inward with her course and group.

We discuss real healing as a single mom and what it looks like, Healing as a single mom can be a challenging and complex process. However, with the right mindset and support, it is possible to overcome difficulties and achieve a place of peace and fulfilment0. Here are some tips to help you on your healing journey:

Acknowledge Your Feelings: It is important to allow yourself to feel all the emotions that come with being a single mom, whether it's anger, sadness, or even relief. Ignoring your emotions will only prolong the healing process. So, take some time to acknowledge your feelings and work through them.

Seek Support: Healing is a journey that is best taken with others. Seek out supportive friends and family members who can listen to you and offer their guidance. Additionally, consider joining a support group or seeking out the help of a therapist.

Take Care of Yourself: Self-care is vital in the healing process. Take some time for yourself each day to do something that makes you feel good, whether it's exercising, meditating, or taking a relaxing bath.

Embrace Change: Change is an inevitable part of life, and it can be a valuable opportunity for growth. As a single mom, you may need to make significant changes to your lifestyle or routines. Embrace these changes as a chance to discover new opportunities and experiences.

In terms of the stages of healing as a single mother, here are four stages that Andrea discusses in her podcast:

Acknowledgment: In this stage, you recognize that you are in pain and need to begin the healing process.

Acceptance: You accept that healing is a necessary and ongoing process, and you start to take steps to move forward.

Action: This stage involves taking concrete steps towards healing, such as seeking therapy, joining a support group, or changing your daily routines.

Integration: In this final stage, you have successfully integrated healing into your life, and you are able to move forward with greater self-confidence and a sense of purpose.

Remember that healing is a journey, and there is no set timeline for how long it takes. Be patient with yourself, and remember that the end goal is to achieve a place of inner peace and fulfilment.

Natay & Anxiety16 Mar 202100:24:45
Todays guest Natay youtuber and single mother who discusses everything Anxiety.

What are the symptoms of anxiety?

Anxiety feels different depending on the person experiencing it. Feelings can range from butterflies in your stomach to a racing heart. You might feel out of control, like there’s a disconnect between your mind and body.

Other ways people experience anxiety include nightmares, panic attacks, and painful thoughts or memories that you can’t control. You may have a general feeling of fear and worry, or you may fear a specific place or event.

Symptoms of general anxiety include:

  • increased heart rate
  • rapid breathing
  • restlessness
  • trouble concentrating
  • difficulty falling asleep

What is an anxiety attack?

An anxiety attack is a feeling of overwhelming apprehension, worry, distress, or fear. For many people, an anxiety attack builds slowly. It may worsen as a stressful event approaches.

Anxiety attacks can vary greatly, and symptoms may differ among individuals. That’s because the many symptoms of anxiety don’t happen to everyone, and they can change over time.

Common symptoms of an anxiety attack include:

  • feeling faint or dizzy
  • shortness of breath
  • dry mouth
  • sweating
  • chills or hot flashes
  • apprehension and worry
  • restlessness
  • distress
  • fear
  • numbness or tingling

What causes anxiety?

Researchers are not sure of the exact cause of anxiety. But, it’s likely a combination of factors play a role. These include genetic and environmental factors, as well as brain chemistry.

In addition, researchers believe that the areas of the brain responsible for controlling fear may be impacted.

Single Mom on Benefits to Business Worth 2 million07 Mar 202100:41:52

From single MOM on benefits to 2 million worth business

Todays guest Stephine Taylor speaks to me about everything single motherhood and business, how she became a success today.

Stephine was desperate to escape the rut of the 9-5, the single mum found herself on the hunt for a more flexible way to earn money and cut back her hours.

However, with no business acumen and only a very small amount of savings, Stephanie found herself with little options.

That is until she discovered that she could make a profit off other people’s investments, by renting out properties that didn’t even belong to her.

Fast forward five years and she and sister Nicky now run Rent 2 Rent Success, helping others do the same and meaning Stephanie now just works two hours a week.

What is Rent to Rent ?

The rent to rent model is simple.

Clients begin by renting a property, usually for 3-5 years, paying the owner or letting agent a guaranteed rent and taking on any bills.

You simply rent the property to a tenant for a higher price than the rent you are paying with the difference in price being the profit.

Stephanie joined forces with sister Nicky who had dipped her toe in the property market, having done a refurbishment of her own property and significantly increased the value.

The sisters started up their HMO Heaven business in 2016 which is now worth £2million and later their Rent 2 Rent Success, allowing clients to rent out properties that don’t belong to them.

Divorcing Powerful Men - willow brook financial planning18 Feb 202100:19:10

Todays guest is Ceri from willow brook finances who helps women handle their money when divorcing powerful men.

Ceri can show you how the best and worst case financial scenarios could play out for you in divorce, so you can feel CALM, empowered and in control.

You are making progress with your divorce, and you have a legal team who are starting to talk about what a potential settlement offer could be.

BUT you don't know how to know if this deal will work for you.

The problem is, it's so hard to see how the figures being talked about play out in the real world. It seems like a huge decision, and you want to be sure that you don't get this wrong.

You worry that you may miss something, especially as your ex has so much financial strength and experience on his side.

This is where she can introduce you to the CALM programme.

Ceri believes that when you make finances clear you take away the fear. You can feel CALM about making confident money decisions because you are informed and able to see the road ahead.

I also believe that financial services typically doesn't make it easy for women to do this.

Which is why I am passionate about stripping out the ego, noise, jargon and austere image and just show up as my real self. Because I believe financial services needs a feminine shake up, to make it more engaging and accessible to women, bringing bucket loads of empathy and a straight forward approach.

Life Insurance for Single Moms -FOUR LEAF COVER WITH Alando Barnett10 Feb 202300:25:06

Life Insurance for Single Moms -FOUR LEAF COVER WITH Alando Barnett

WHY ALL SINGLE MOMS SHOULD GET LIFE INSURANCE - CHECK OUT TODAY's PODCAST WITH FOUR LEAF COVER LIFE INSURANCE WITH Alando Barnett. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A COVER QUOTE: HAPPY LEAF.

While life insurance is important for everyone, it can be especially important for single mothers. Here are a few reasons why:

  1. Financial security: Single mothers are often the sole breadwinners for their families, which means they need to provide for their children even after they're gone. Life insurance can provide a source of income for their children to help them with daily expenses, education, and other needs.
  2. Debt protection: If a single mother has debt, such as a mortgage, life insurance can help pay it off and provide peace of mind for their children.
  3. Education funding: A life insurance policy can provide a source of funding for their children's education, ensuring that they have the resources they need to achieve their goals.

In addition to life insurance, it's also important for single mothers to consider adding education benefits to their policies. This can help provide additional funds for their children's education and ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed.

Ultimately, life insurance and education benefits can help provide a sense of security for single mothers and their families and can help ensure that their children have the resources they need to thrive even after they're gone.

Attracting Mr Right22 Sep 202001:16:31

The Single Moms Guide to attracting Mr Right.

Becoming Mrs Karen Stanley

My guest today Karen Stanley spent eight years raising her two kids by herself while running a business and struggling to find real love. After years of frustration, she gave up. She decided real love wasn't out there, or if it was, it wasn't for her. Then, as she watched her best friend (another single mom) walk down the aisle with a badass husband, she had a breakthrough. If it can happen for one of us, it can happen for all of us. She just needed to design a system to create the results she wanted.

Luckily, creating successful systems is one of her particular talents. For seventeen months, Karen followed her systems to becoming the badass she was deep inside so she would attract her own badass husband. In Becoming Mrs. Stanley, she shares her systems and tools so you can:

*  Let go of the past and learn to love yourself and your life.

*  Transform negative beliefs you have about yourself, about men, and about love.

*  Overcome harmful habits and behaviors that are holding you back.

*  Create a home you love.

*  Make room in your life and your home for a badass partner.

How i'm planning my 2023 as a single mother02 Feb 202300:27:36

Planning your year as a single mother can be challenging, but it can also be empowering. Here are some steps to help you get started:

  1. Set clear goals: What do you want to achieve this year, both for yourself and for your children? Write them down and prioritize them.
  2. Make a budget: Make a list of your monthly income and expenses, and allocate funds for essentials like food, housing, and transportation first. Then allocate money for your goals.
  3. Create a schedule: Plan your work schedule, your children's activities, and your own personal time. Make sure to schedule in some downtime for yourself as well.
  4. Ask for help: Don't be afraid to ask friends, family, or community organizations for help. Whether it's childcare, transportation, or just a shoulder to lean on, accepting help can make a big difference.
  5. Take care of yourself: Make time for self-care and prioritize your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This will help you feel more energized and capable of handling the demands of motherhood.

Remember, you are not alone, and it's okay to ask for help. Plan the year ahead with intention and focus on what you can control.

How to reinventing yourself03 Aug 202000:24:59

How to reinventing yourself.

Today's edition of Happy single mom I'm talking about the how of reinventing yourself and master Change. I have always wondered why artists such as better Madonna and Beyonce have long last careers. I strongly believe that they have mastered the art of reinventing themselves and mastered change. I think that once you can Master this art it can lead you to the path of happiness.

My guest today is Pelena who is not only a mother of two, she is an author and a public speaker. The reason why I asked her on this platform is because iv have seen first hand her change and reinvent herself, shes not only be a magnificent single mother but iv seen her reinvent herself unapologetically.

There was once a famous philosopher who Diogenes who decided to reinvent himself...he stripped away everything that humans found valuable and only had a rag and a bowl for food and water. He even threw it away when he saw a child drinking water with their hands. He believed in change and stressed that many people behave a particular way just because it was the norm. This can be found in you going to a funeral and feeling like you have to cry. He once decided that he was going to walk backward and when people laughed at him he said " who told you walking forward was normal ". With all his madness he was sort after far and wide and Alexandra the great even went to meet this Dogman that refused to meet the statue quo. Alexander the great said to Diogenes as he sat on the floor with a crowd surrounding him...is there anything I can do for you. He said yes " stand a little to the right because you are blocking my sun".

If you reinvent yourself today ....people may laugh for a while criticize you and judge you but if you hold on to your thoughts. Believe me when I say great men will come and see you.

Well, guys, you have listened to a happy single mom, thanks again to my wonderful guest Pelena.... please follow her on social media and share this episode with your friends and family.

The F word13 Jul 202000:23:21

My guest today is Esana illori , a Psychotherapist in training and mother of 3 boys who is passionate about supporting mothers who feels stuck after having children. She helps them to discover their purpose and overcome limiting beliefs to create a work life balance that works for them and their families

I strongly believe that we don't understand what it means to truly forgive -for me I would say I forgave someone and when I saw the person all the offense would come up and I would be thinking of witty ways to insult them if they came at me again? If you've ever had issues with forgiveness...keep listening.

One of the biggest reasons I had to forgive my ex / son father was because there was a day my son walked into my room and he looked so much like my ex that my heart started beating.

How can the one person I love in the world look like one person that I hated.‼

I needed to figure it out as soon as possible ....but I spent years angry and almost used to the feeling of anger and un-forgiveness.

Pregnant & Alone - Do this (Advice I wish I heard solo podcast Khalifa )23 Jan 202300:27:07

Solo episode ladies, i hope you enjoy it, advice for women who are pregnant and alone .

  1. Reach out for support: Being pregnant and alone can be a difficult and isolating experience. It is important to reach out to friends, family, or local support groups for emotional and practical support.
  2. Take care of yourself: It is important to take care of your physical and mental well-being during pregnancy. Make sure to eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get enough rest.
  3. Seek out medical care: Prenatal care is important for the health of both you and your baby. Look for local clinics or hospitals that offer free or low-cost prenatal care.
  4. Create a birth plan: Even if you are alone, you can still have a voice in your birth plan and make decisions about your care during labor and delivery.
  5. Look into parenting classes: Many communities offer parenting classes for expectant parents. This can be a great way to learn about child care and meet other parents who may be in similar situations.
  6. Consider adoption: If you are not in a position to raise a child on your own, adoption can be a loving and selfless option for your child.
  7. You may want to seek financial help, such as government assistance programs or charitable organizations that offer financial assistance to low-income, single mothers.

Remember that seeking help is not a sign of weakness and you are not alone in this journey. You and your baby deserve the best care, and there are many resources available to help you.

Stay positive: It can be hard to stay positive when dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis but try to focus on the things that bring you joy and keep you motivated.

Don't hesitate to ask questions: It is important to ask as many questions as you need to in order to understand your diagnosis and treatment options.

Don't be afraid to explore alternative therapies: Along with traditional medical treatments, there are many alternative therapies that can help you manage the symptoms of breast cancer and improve your overall well-being.

Be kind to yourself: Be easy on yourself, it's important to take things one day at a time and give yourself the time and space you need to process your feelings and emotions.
