Better late than never!

In this bonus episode finally getting around to the much hyped (something we talk about) Evil Dead Rise.

What did you think of Evil Dead Rise?

The Roommate From Hell!27 Jul 202300:43:38

Boils and Ghouls!

Welcome to our 4 part series. "The ____ From Hell"!

In this series we are kicking off with an absolute banger

Single White Female

In The ____ From Hell we are going to explore a very unique sub genre of ordinary people who get caught up with the wrong person.

In this block were going to be watching
Single White Female
Pacific Heights
and a few more!

Single White Female might also be one of the best theater experiences I have even been a part of.

Seen at the Los Feliz 3 on 35mm with a sold out crowd. It was absolutely perfect!

So to kick off our newest block I give you.

The Roommate from Hell - Single White Female

Assault on Precinct 1322 Mar 202300:54:18

What's your favorite John Carpenter film?

This week Trevor and Nick check off another flim on the "Nicks Mega Must See (Before he dies?) Movie List"

With the 1976 Carpenter classic Assault on Precinct 13.

This film had us talking about a buch of topics. From old school cinematic action - why you should skip the first season of most tv shows- to changing the way I view the first 20 mins of any film.

Is this a life changing episode? Maybe! But only if you tell us via a 5 start review on our itunes right.....here! Halloweekly iTunes

Videodrome03 Mar 202300:58:16

Let me explain what is going on. I have been going to The New Beverly cinema and watching all sorts of classic films I have never seen before.

So it got me thinking... What other classics have I not seen?

Thus the creation of NICKS MEGA MOVIE LIST.

From School of Rock to 2001 to Julia and Julia to Peeping Tom to Boyz in the Hood to Misery.

There is quite a bit of brillant filmmaking I have not experienced.

So to kick things off I wanted to start with a David Cronenberg Videodrome.

With special effects by the legendary Rick Baker Monster Maker I knew I would be in good hands.

Join us next week as we check off another film off my list with John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13!

Watching Wrong Turn the Wrong Way! The Finale!20 Jun 202300:56:22

Boils and Ghouls....we made it!!

To be honest going though this franchise was not easy.

But boy am I glad we did it. For the longest time I have sat here and wondered what the Wrong Turn franchise had to offer.

And did the expierment of watching it backwards pay off?

Short answer. Yes!

Walking backwards to the Mecca that is the OG Wrong Turn felt great. Seeing the love and craft go into our favorite hillbilly mutant freaks with characters who (aside from Henry Rollins in WG2) I was rooting for the entire time and was bummed when they got...well you know.

If you have been with us for the entire journey (THAN YOU) or just now hopping on the Wrong Turn Express. Sit back and join us for the stunning conclusion of.... Watching Wrong Turn the Wrong Way!

Crimes of the Future07 Jul 202200:45:23

David Cronenberg is back! For all the hype around people walking out of this movie. Its kinda relaxing? Its strange...but in the best way possible. Totally recommend.

Elite Duds18 Jun 202200:58:42

Ok so we need to be honest. We recently watched a handful of movies that on paper...we should have LOVED! But for various reaons these movies did not live up to the hype. There are a few things here and there that the films did that rocked - but overall they were pretty much duds.

They Live10 Jun 202200:42:46

The Northman28 Apr 202200:56:27

***Screaming and Howling***

A film loosely based on William Shakespeares Hamlet. With a good amout of gore, psychedelic trips and visceral actions scenes. We cannot recommend this movie enough to the standard bolt action horror fan.

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings03 May 202301:00:03

Today, we're talking about a movie that takes us all the way back to the bloody beginnings...

The film Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings

In this prequel (which every film in this franchise is), we see how the family of cannibalistic hillbillies that we know and love came to be.

Was it Declan O'Brien's Empire Strikes Back?

I think so!

A b-movie that takes place in the snow (his Battle of Hoth setting), with some excellent gore (like when Han thought they smelled bad from the outside), and it wouldn't be Wrong Turn without a little...well..you know.
