Ranking the Bucks roster 1-15 and answering big questions about EVERY player with Nathan Marzion29 Aug 202401:36:44
The Milwaukee Bucks roster is loaded with intriguing players, so Ti Windisch welcomed Nathan Marzion on the Gyro Step to talk about all of them! Ti had Nathan rank the roster in order of importance from spot 1 (Giannis Antetokounmpo, of course) to spot 15, and had a question that the two of them discussed regarding each player. Follow Nathan on Twitter @NathanMarzion! Giannis Antetokounmpo – Do you think he’ll screen and roll more in 2024-25? Damian Lillard – What should we reasonably expect from Dame with his conditioning and comfort level higher going into the season? I feel I am unreasonably excited. Khris Middleton – Will he play more or fewer games next season? Khris played 55 last season. Brook Lopez – Do you think we’ll see more zone or other coverages than just drop this season? Gary Trent Jr. – Do you think his offense or defense will be more important to the Bucks? He’s better on offense, but it feels Milwaukee needs that less? Delon Wright – Will he end up being the most important Bucks bench player? His two-way versatility and fit with Dame is pretty intriguing. Taurean Prince – Will Prince, like Beasley before him, have a career-best three-point shooting season? His career high is 40.0% Bobby Portis – Will Bobby find a lane with Doc and this revamped coaching staff? He has not excelled in any one defensive coverage and his offense feels less important. AJ Green – What skill outside of shooting has impressed you the most about AJ Green? Andre Jackson Jr. – Pick one thing Ajax needs to fix: his jumper, not looking at the basket on drives, or his fouling? Pat Connaughton – Is Pat C a shooting resurgence away from jumping up several spots on this list? He showed some nice ball-handling flashes last season when pressed into PG duty. Chris Livingston – Do you believe CL can grow into an ideal stretch 4 within the next 2-3 years? MarJon Beauchamp – Is MarJon’s Bucks tenure essentially over, or can he still find a real role? AJ Johnson – Assuming he’s mostly a Herd player this year, what would you like to see from AJ in an ideal world to show he’s progressing? Tyler Smith – Rohan and I have already pushed Smith to an MPJ sort of role as a best case, but do you think he could ever actually defend the 5? Ranking fifth starter options, remaining free agents and Giannis becomes an Olympian09 Jul 202401:52:10
The Milwaukee Bucks have five players who appear to be realistic candidates to start next to Damian Lillard next season, and Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti ranked them on the latest episode of the Gyro Step. MarJon Beauchamp, A.J. Green, Delon Wright, Andre Jackson Jr. and Taurean Prince all could make sense as Milwaukee’s latest fifth starter, and Ti and Rohan went through the case for and against each and in the case of the young players tried to explain what it would take for them to win the job. They then discussed the remaining free agents who could make sense for the Bucks’ 15th roster spot, including Markelle Fultz, Gary Trent Jr. and Lonnie Walker, before discussing how cool it is that Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to play in the Olympics for the first time and breaking down his road to helping Greece medal in basketball for the first time EVER. The Milwaukee Bucks season is mere days away, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti sat down for their annual tradition of preparing for their Bucks Stock Market grading of each Bucks player EVERY game by doing a 2023-24 season IPO to determine valuations for the whole roster. From Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard all the way down to newest Buck Marques Bolden, each player (plus head coach Adrian Griffin) got a valuation ranging from 1 to 38, including explanation for each pick, and some healthy debate, especially on MarJon Beauchamp vs Andre Jackson Jr. GSPN is proud to partner with Sleeper this NBA season – download the app and use promo code GYROSTEP for 100% match on your first deposit up to $100 as you play daily NBA fantasy on the sleekest app out there. Mapping out the Milwaukee Bucks 2023-24 rotation18 Oct 202301:22:04
The Milwaukee Bucks have just one preseason game left before embarking on their first season with Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo in tow, so Ti Windisch of the Gyro Step and Adam McGee of the Win in 6 podcast decided to map out how the rotation could and should look around Milwaukee’s new star duo. After discussing the Dame and Giannis partnership initially, the conversation shifted to Malik Beasley locking down the starting shooting guard spot, how the big rotation will work with Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Robin Lopez, Jae Crowder, and of course Giannis in tow, what Khris Middleton should be able to do and how other wing players like Pat Connaughton and Crowder can fill in the gaps for him, their comfort level with Cam Payne as the backup point guard, and then a run through of all the young players who will fight for any leftover minutes – MarJon Beauchamp, who has been uneven in preseason, Andre Jackson Jr., who has thrilled Bucks fans, A.J. Green, and Chris Livingston. Finally, the two-way point guards, mostly Lindell Wigginton and TyTy Washington Jr., were covered too. Damian Lillard and Giannis played for the Bucks! Gyro Step LIVE16 Oct 202301:23:17
Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo played together for the first time on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, and Gyro Step hosts Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti have a LOT to say about the best pairing in Bucks history. After gushing over Freaky Time (or maybe Freak Time, but probably not Oakland Gyros) Ti and Rohan went through the rest of the game, including Malik Beasley earning the fifth starter spot with strong play on both ends, a tough night for Brook Lopez, standout play from MarJon Beauchamp and Pat Connaughton, the blinding speed of Cam Payne, more exciting flashes from Andre Jackson Jr., and more. They also touched on major schematic elements on both ends, including an egalitarian offense and more zone defense. Is the Bucks’ Dame and Giannis pairing actually underrated ft Bart Winkler | Gyro Step11 Oct 202301:06:27
While every Milwaukee Bucks fan is extremely excited about adding Damian Lillard to a team that already had Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez, among other talented players, are the Bucks offseason moves being underrated outside of Milwaukee? Bart Winkler of The Bart Winkler Show dropped by the Gyro Step to discuss the perception of the Bucks with Ti Windisch, and the pair went on to dive deep on how Milwaukee will actually look, how if another team paired Giannis and Dame it would get more hype, and why fans should be extremely excited for this season anyway. At the end they covered the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers in quick succession – check out those podcasts wherever you listen to this one or find them at GSPN.info. Dame is excited, Giannis talks re-signing, and more Bucks Media Day moments | Gyro Step05 Oct 202301:26:49
The Milwaukee Bucks held Media Day on Monday and have had a pair of practices with interviews after since, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti sat down on Thursday to discuss all they had learned, including: Giannis Antetokounmpo affirming he wants to retire a Buck, saying he's happy with the team's commitment to winning, and letting it slip he would re-sign next year when it makes financial sense; Damian Lillard putting any fear fans may have that he is not extremely excited to rest and diving deep into Giannis' Bucks tape to glean insights for their partnership; some troubling Khris Middleton injury news (including a reenactment of an exchange between head coach Adrian Griffin and reporters); scattered notes on MarJon Beauchamp, Jae Crowder, Cam Payne, Bobby Portis, Brook and Robin Lopez, and more. The Bucks add Dame! and Cam Payne! But Jrue is a Celtic02 Oct 202301:43:29
Damian Lillard’s journey to the Milwaukee Bucks has been further documented in more reporting, including an enlightening article from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti dove back into Jon Horst’s masterclass acquisition and Ti shared his initial and updated thoughts on pairing Dame with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, etc. Spoiler alert: he was and remains extremely excited! The Bucks also added Cam Payne, who Ti and Rohan were relatively low on, although they agreed he is a nice fit and a no-brainer to insert into the roster spot the Dame trade opened. Unfortunately Jrue Holiday heading to Boston had to be addressed too, which dampened the mood, although Ti and Rohan agreed Boston’s new roster is not the seamless juggernaut many seem to see. The Gyro Step hosts also discussed the ridiculous NBA media coverage of the trade, who the fifth starter should be, how deep the Bucks really are, whether the Bucks have the best duo and trio in the league, and more. Bucks snag Taurean Prince! Does he start and are they done adding?04 Jul 202401:39:57
The Milwaukee Bucks signed another productive NBA veteran on Wednesday when they added Taurean Prince on a minimum deal, bringing the reported roster up to 14 players with Delon Wright and the two rookies factored in. Ti Windisch, Adam McGee, and Rohan Katti discussed Prince’s value and what he can provide to the Bucks, the real story of what he provides, the role new lead assistant coach Darvin Ham likely played in Prince’s decision, and whether or he one of the many other players in the running (Delon Wright, Andre Jackson Jr., A.J. Green, MarJon Beauchamp, Pat Connaughton??) will start. They also cover Irish national basketball for some reason. Plus Giannis Antetokounmpo’s journey with the Greek national team to qualify for the Olympics, and whether the Bucks are done and if the roster has any more changes coming, including trades. That conversation covered which out of Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, and Pat Connaughton are most likely to be dealt. Debating Dame and Buddy deals plus more NBA division previews | Gyro Step25 Sep 202302:00:05
Milwaukee Bucks fans are having fun with the NBA trade machine again, as between Damian Lillard supposedly being sought after by a mystery team in the Eastern Conference and the Indiana Pacers exploring trade options with Buddy Hield after he rejected a contract extension, there are suddenly fun options to consider the Bucks going after. TyTy Washington Jr. added as Bucks triple down on two-way point guards31 Aug 202301:18:30
The Milwaukee Bucks signed TyTy Washington Jr., a first round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft who TiTi Windisch was VERY high on coming out of college, to a two-way contract earlier this week. TiTi (who will be called that until the season starts, apparently) and Rohan Katti broke down why they like the flier on a talented prospect and how this situation will play out for the Bucks, given they have three point guards (Lindell Wigginton, Omari Moore, and TyTy Washington Jr.) on two-way contracts plus another coming into camp on an exhibit 10 deal (Jazian Gortman) who could play his way into a two-way spot. All four young guards seem to have a shot at real backup point guard minutes, as does rookie Andre Jackson Jr, and maybe even a wing player like Malik Beasley or MarJon Beauchamp. TiTi and Rohan started the show by flaming a silly True Hoop article about trading Giannis Antetokounmpo and ended it in true unhinged offseason fashion. How Adrian Griffin (and Terry Stotts) could improve Milwaukee’s offense29 Aug 202301:10:03
The Milwaukee Bucks tend to make life a little too hard offensively, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti cataloged all of the various principles, schemes, and actions Milwaukee could use next season under the tutelage of Adrian Griffin, Terry Stotts, and Joe Prunty to make life easier for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, and really everybody on the team. Before getting offensive, Ti and Rohan covered the Greece/USA match-up Monday morning as part of the first group stage of the FIBA World Cup, and shared some exciting Blue Wire news: check out WeFunder.com/BlueWire to learn how you can invest in Blue Wire. Should Bucks fans be worried about Giannis’ NYT interview? | Gyro Step25 Aug 202300:54:05
Giannis Antetokounmpo told the New York Times’ Tania Ganguli that the Milwaukee Bucks need to be contending for championships for him to extend his contract next summer. Rohan Katti and Ti Windisch of the Gyro Step were not surprised, because this is exactly how Giannis treated his last contract extension negotiation as well, which led to the Bucks trading for Jrue Holiday, re-signing Giannis, and winning a championship in 2021. Rohan and Ti discussed why Giannis not signing an extension this year is logical financially, how loyalty demands max effort from both star player and their organization, some names Milwaukee could target with their three trade-able first round picks next offseason, and how even the loyal NBA stars used similar leverage to ensure their teams kept competing for titles every season. Delon Wright signs with Bucks as NBA free agency speeds up02 Jul 202401:32:04
The Milwaukee Bucks made their first 2024 NBA free agent signing on Monday when they agreed to terms on a veteran minimum contract with Delon Wright, the defensively-gifted combo guard who most recently played for the Miami Heat. Ti Windisch, Rohan Katti, and Jordan Treske shared their full analysis of the signing, Wright as a player, and whether he fits best as a starter or coming off the bench. The Bucks also agreed to terms on a two-way deal with former Pistons forward Stanley Umude, a promising defensive prospect who has shown some flashes of being a good shooter too. After discussing Umude, the group moved on to cover available free agents still on the board who would fit well in Milwaukee, and then eventually spit-balled some potential trades given the Brook Lopez rumors persist. Defensive scheme tweaks we want to see from the Bucks in 2023-24 | Gyro Step21 Aug 202301:06:11
The Milwaukee Bucks have a new head coach in Adrian Griffin who is poised to make significant changes to how the Bucks play on both offense and defense. In a two-part series, Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti are diving into what they would like to see from Milwaukee schematically next season, starting this week with the defensive end. From blitzing pick and rolls to using a zone defense to not giving up easy switches, Ti and Rohan dive into a variety of gameplan adjustments they hope to see Griffin institute with the Bucks next season, after tidying up odds and ends including the upcoming FIBA World Cup schedule and TyTy Washington Jr. being released by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giannis is OUT, other FIBA World Cup updates, and laughing at the Sixers | Gyro Step14 Aug 202301:12:29
Giannis Antetokounmpo confirmed on social media that he will not participate in the 2023 FIBA World Cup due to his knee surgery earlier this summer, which is unfortunate for both fans of the Greek side and the Milwaukee Bucks but ultimately the correct and safest call for Giannis. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed Giannis’ status and then overviewed the two FIBA World Cup teams containing Milwaukee Bucks this year: Greece with Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Team USA with Bobby Portis. Both Thanasis and Bobby seem set for large roles on their respective teams, so Rohan and Ti discussed their chances to advance and make real runs in the tournament and shared their schedules, which include a pair of games against each other as both Greece and USA are in the same group for this tournament. After the FIBA deep dive, Ti and Rohan laugh at the Philadelphia 76ers following James Harden dropping the mic (figuratively) at an ADIDAS camp in China where he straight up said Daryl Morey is a liar and he will never be part of an organization he is a part of, and then said the exact same statement again for good measure. How does Milwaukee rank in the new-look Eastern Conference? | Gyro Step07 Aug 202301:04:27
The NBA offseason, as it tends to do, has resulted in the league looking significantly different heading into next season. On the latest Gyro Step, Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti give their rankings for all 15 teams in the Eastern Conference heading into next season by dividing them into five tiers: 1st (should the Milwaukee Bucks be here??), second through fourth, fifth and sixth, play-in teams, and then the non-play-in squads. While Rohan and Ti mostly agreed, some fun debates about exact rankings did break out. Be sure to bookmark this episode so you can get the hosts on Old Takes Exposed later. Are the Bucks better or worse on paper going into the season? | Gyro Step 31 Jul 202301:21:54
The Milwaukee Bucks are running back most of their core players with a new coaching staff following their disastrous 2023 NBA Playoff run, but have the few tweaks the Bucks made left them with a better or worse group heading into the new season? Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti debate on the latest Gyro Step, with Ti thinking the Bucks are slightly worse and Rohan liking them more this season than last. Topics covered, in order, include: Thanasis Antetokounmpo re-signing with the Bucks up front; a discussion of what “on paper” really means and which rosters we’re talking about here; the coaching difference from Mike Budenholzer to Adrian Griffin and whether it’s a plus or minus; what Jae Crowder and Robin Lopez bring to the rotation his season; what we should expect from MarJon Beauchamp and whether he’s better than the George Hill/Jordan Nwora/Wes Matthews group; what Malik Beasley can bring to the Bucks and how he will contribute (and if he’s the Grayson Allen replacement); if we’re underrating what Bobby Portis can add next season; what to expect from Chris Livingston, Andre Jackson Jr., Omari Moore, and Lindell Wigginton; if Portis, Allen, and Pat Connaughton will be better or worse next season; and if the Core Four (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Jrue Holiday) will be better or worse next season. There’s also a lot of X dot com jokes. Milwaukee Bucks forward A.J. Green joined the Gyro Step to discuss everything from his rookie season and learning from the many veterans the Bucks had on the wing last season, his ankle injury and how his summer is going, what he’s specifically working on ahead of next season, his thoughts on Adrian Griffin as a coach and what he’s implementing in Milwaukee schematically, seeing how the Miami Heat’s success could translate to Milwaukee, and even giving Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti an endorsement to other Bucks players to join the pod! Reviewing Damian Lillard and James Harden trade slop from the Bucks perspective24 Jul 202301:12:52
The Milwaukee Bucks don’t have a ton going on at the moment, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti decided to look around the NBA at a couple of guards who are angling to find new teams in Damian Lillard and James Harden and see how their situations resolving one way or another will impact the Bucks as they chase a second title in the Giannis Antetokounmpo era. Speaking of Giannis, the podcast opens with some talk about the Greek Freak being included on Team Greece’s preliminary roster for the FIBA World Cup, what that says about his status and if he will play. Grading Milwaukee’s Summer League squad on the Bucks Stock Market | Gyro Step17 Jul 202301:09:14
The Milwaukee Bucks NBA Summer League run is thankfully over after two fun wins were followed by three mostly ugly losses. Rohan Katti and Ti Windisch graded each and every player who logged a minute on the Bucks Stock Market on a scale that went from +4 on the high end to -4 on the low. Most of the discussion centered around players on the Bucks roster, including MarJon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, Lindell Wigginton, and Omari Moore, but other central figures of the Summer League squad like Jazian Gortman, Drew Timme, Iverson Molinar, Tyler Cook, Nico Mannion, Tacko Fall, and more got graded too. MarJon Beauchamp is HIM and other Bucks Summer League thoughts | Gyro Step10 Jul 202300:58:20
MarJon Beauchamp has looked special during the Milwaukee Bucks first two Summer League games and has led the Bucks to a pair of wins, so Rohan Katti and Ti Windisch started the latest Gyro Step with lots of MarJon talk, including what specifically has impressed them and how MarJon is showing he’s taking a leap. From there the guys cover everyone who has suited up for the Bucks, especially rookie second round picks Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston, potential two-way player Jazian Gortman, and more. They eventually circled back to MarJon near the end of the podcast to discuss realistic expectations for him with the real Bucks – which neither host thinks includes being a starter. Bucks bring in Malik Beasley and Robin Lopez, still need a point guard | Gyro Step04 Jul 202301:07:53
The Milwaukee Bucks continued building out their roster on Monday, adding Robin Lopez and Malik Beasley to the roster on a pair of veteran minimum contracts. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti analyzed what both can bring to the team including what Robin’s signing could mean for his twin brother Brook Lopez before proceeding to discuss options at point guard, a position which the Bucks are clearly lacking at this point in the offseason, including free agents and potential trade candidates like Collin Sexton, Tyus Jones, Aaron Holiday, Delon Wright, Markelle Fultz, Kyle Lowry, and more. Bucks build out young core with exciting Tyler Smith pick in second round!27 Jun 202401:31:03
The Milwaukee Bucks grabbed another exciting young player in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, selecting Tyler Smith out of the G League Ignite with the 33rd overall pick they had courtesy of the Portland Trail Blazers. Smith is a standout athlete with great size at 6'9" and a plus 7-foot wingspan who has a fluid jumper, and his tools pose a nice matchup in the frontcourt with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ti Windisch and Jordan Treske recorded live, discussing their updated thoughts on the first round, the prospects they liked at the start of the second, the Smith pick itself and how it helps the overall appeal of the draft class, and more league-wide thoughts as the draft went on. Bucks retain Khris and Brook after terrifying first day of free agency01 Jul 202301:19:18
The Milwaukee Bucks recovered from a treacherous position early in NBA free agency, as after inking Khris Middleton to a three-year $102 million deal the Bucks were unable to reach terms with Brook Lopez until Saturday with the Houston Rockets aggressively trying to sign him away. The Bucks finally did get Brook back on a two-year $48 million deal, which caused Ti Windisch, Jordan Treske, and Adam McGee to celebrate before jumping on a podcast to recap the Bucks free agency so far. The trio examined the importance of keeping Khris and Brook and tossed out ideas to improve the roster further, including veteran minimum free agents and trade ideas, and then Jae Crowder signed to a one-year deal right after they wrapped up so they jumped back on to break down Crowder returning after an unpleasant end to his first season in Milwaukee.  Visit GSPN.info to find links to the GSPN YouTube channel and Substack, Bucks Stock Market, all our Bucks, Brewers, Packers, and pop culture podcasts, the link to gain entry to our Discord server, our Twitter links, and more! Bucks add athleticism, size via Andre Jackson Jr and other NBA Draft pickups23 Jun 202301:16:33
The Milwaukee Bucks had an exciting draft and added athletic, big wing prospects! The Bucks traded up to the 36th overall pick to select Andre Jackson Jr., plus used the 58th overall pick on Chris Livingston and added Omari Moore as a two-way player and Drew Timme as an exhibit 10 player after the draft. Realistic roster moves to make Milwaukee better | Gyro Step21 Jun 202301:46:31
The Milwaukee Bucks tried but failed to acquire Brad Beal over the weekend, with Beal ending up in Phoenix and the Bucks needing to look elsewhere for roster improvements ahead of Adrian Griffin’s rookie season as head coach. Rohan Katti and Ti Windisch explored lots of options, most less splashy than Beal but many who could make a real impact in helping Giannis Antetokounmpo win a second title, including: Tyus Jones, Collin Sexton, Monte Morris, Deni Avdija, Kenrich Williams, Yuta Watanabe, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Buddy Hield, Tobias Harris, Keita Bates-Diop, and more. After going through the veterans, Rohan and Ti discuss Khris Middleton’s upcoming player option, and then Ti shared a list of intriguing draft prospects who could make sense for the Bucks at 58 overall plus some who would be options if Jon Horst does either move up or acquire a better second round pick. Would a Brad Beal Deal be a Steal for the Milwaukee Bucks?15 Jun 202301:02:03
The Milwaukee Bucks loom as a suitor for Bradley Beal according to The Athletic -- should the Bucks pursue the Washington Wizards star guard even if it ends up costing Jrue Holiday or Khris Middleton? Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti of the Gyro Step discuss what the trade would look like, how Beal would fit on the Bucks next to Giannis Antetokounmpo, and whether or not Milwaukee should pull the trigger if able. (This pod was recorded live during a YouTube broadcast and Ti accidentally had Rohan's audio off to start, whoops.) Deciding if the Bucks should keep their free agents or let them walk | Gyro Step05 Jun 202301:22:45
The Milwaukee Bucks have some big decisions to make this season on nine of their own free agents (plus two two-way players) so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti played should they stay or should they go now (a reference, astoundingly, made by Rohan) with all of them on the Gyro Step. The pod opens with some Bucks news though, including that Milwaukee is bringing Terry Stotts to be an offensive-minded assistant on Adrian Griffin’s coaching staff and that Bobby Portis will be with Team USA for the FIBA World Cup this summer. After those items it was decision time. Rohan and Ti gave their verdicts on all of the following players: Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Jae Crowder, Wes Matthews, Jevon Carter, Goran Dragic, Meyers Leonard, Joe Ingles, Lindell Wigginton, and AJ Green. Then at the very end they threw out some random names to consider ahead of doing a deep dive on potential free agents from other teams to consider, which got pretty chaotic fast. Further reflection on Adrian Griffin’s hire and NBA Finals predictions | Gyro Step30 May 202300:49:38
Now that the dust has settled on the Milwaukee Bucks hiring Adrian Griffin to be the franchise’s 17th head coach, Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti of the Gyro Step podcast sat down to discuss their full thoughts on the hire and why connecting with the team – and Giannis Antetokounmpo in particular – is worth investing in at this point, while acknowledging they don’t know much about how Griffin’s Bucks teams will look schematically or tactically just yet. Then Rohan and Ti gave their thoughts and predictions on the 2023 NBA Finals featuring the Denver Nuggets vs the Miami Heat, who both hosts agree likely does not have enough in the tank to withstand Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Bucks swing for the fences by selecting AJ Johnson at 23 overall!27 Jun 202401:19:48
The Milwaukee Bucks stunned the GSPN live stream crew by taking AJ Johnson, a raw young wing prospect who got scant minutes with the llawarra Hawks last season, with their first round pick (23 overall). Ti Windisch, Rohan Katti, Andrew Snyder and later Jordan Treske weighed in, sharing displeasure at Jon Horst selecting a player with virtually no chance of helping in the 2024-25 season and trying to figure out the logic of doing so while noting which players were picked soon after and which could be available Thursday afternoon when the Bucks pick again at 33 overall. Adrian Griffin named Milwaukee Bucks head coach - EMERGENCY PODCAST27 May 202300:58:03
The Milwaukee Bucks next head coach will be former Toronto Raptors lead assistant Adrian Griffin according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, as apparently Nick Nurse pulled out of the race at some point and the Bucks went with Griffin, who Giannis Antetokounmpo reportedly very much likes. Ti Windisch and Jordan Treske of GSPN reacted live to the process and the hire itself, gave their thoughts on how the Bucks could look under Griffin, and decided if they thought it was a good hire or not.
