The newest episode of Guess That Record is the first to be recorded outside of Calgary, as Jackson travelled to Seattle to interview Chuck Burgi for the second time! Chuck is currently the drummer for Billy Joel, a role he's held since 2006. Chuck has also worked with artists like Hall & Oates, Meatloaf, Blue Öyster Cult, and many more. Jackson and Chuck met up the day before Billy Joel took to the stage at T-Mobile Park to go over Chuck's routine on the road, and how he approaches select songs from the Billy Joel songbook.

The biggest episode of Guess That Record to date has Jackson interviewing legendary guitarist Andy Summers from The Police! As the band's guitar player, Andy can be heard on all of their incredible songs including Every Breath You Take, Roxanne, and Message in a Bottle. Outside of The Police, Andy has released 13 solo albums, composed film soundtracks, and has collaborated with artists like Robert Fripp, Eric Burdon, and many more. Andy has won five Grammy Awards, and in 2003 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police. In this episode, Jackson and Andy break down select tracks from The Police's discography, and talk about Andy's current projects.

Guess That Record returns with the first episode of 2023, on the one year anniversary of our very first episode! For Episode 9, Jackson interviews Susan Rogers. Susan served as the staff engineer for Prince from 1983-1987, working on some of the biggest albums of Prince's career including Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade, and Sign O the Times. She also worked with artists like David Byrne, Tevin Campbell, and the Barenaked Ladies (producing their hit album Stunt). After leaving the music business, she became a professor at the Berklee College of Music. In this episode, Jackson and Susan speak about how she got her start in music, and what it was like to work with Prince.

Episode 8 (David Paich)

This week's episode of Guess That Record is a big one, as Jackson interviews keyboardist David Paich from Toto! As a founding member of Toto, David wrote the band's biggest songs including Hold the Line, Rosanna, and the all-time classic Africa (a song in which David also handles the lead vocal duties). Outside of his work with Toto, David has been a prolific session player having played on albums such as Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs, and Michael Jackson's Thriller. In this episode, Jackson and David talk about how his father's music career inspired him, how songs like Africa continue to be relevant, and what it's like to work with famous musicians.

Episode 7 (Floyd Sneed)

This week's episode of Guess That Record sees Jackson interviewing Canadian drummer Floyd Sneed. Floyd (who hails from Jackson's hometown of Calgary) is the original drummer for Three Dog Night, serving two stints with the band from 1968-1974, and again from 1981-1984. During his time with the band, Floyd played on the group's biggest hits such as "Joy to the World," "Mama Told Me Not to Come," "Shambala", and "One." Floyd has also been a member of bands such as the short-lived group S.S. Fools (which featured Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball), and Tommy Chong's band Little Daddy and the Bachelors. In this episode, Floyd speaks with Jackson about growing up in Calgary, and breaks down some of Three Dog Night's most well known songs.

After a lengthy hiatus, Guess That Record returns for a brand new run of episodes! This week sees Jackson interviewing the Hot City Horns, a horn section based out of London, England featuring Paul Burton on Trombone, Mike Davis on Trumpet, and Kenji Fenton on Saxophone. Since 2018, they've been touring with Paul McCartney, appearing with him in stadiums all over the world on his Freshen Up and Got Back tours. They've also performed with artists such as Olly Murs, Jess Glynne, and Emeli Sandé. In this episode, Jackson speaks with the guys about their musical upbringing, how they became a group, and what it's like to work with a living Beatle.

Kelly spent 15 years in the NHL as a goalie for the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks. He now works as a broadcaster for Sportsnet, appearing on Hockey Night in Canada, and Calgary Flames games. In this episode of Guess That Record, Kelly talks about his career, his love for music, and his time in Los Angeles where he rubbed shoulders with names like Bruce Springsteen, and Glenn Frey.

In this episode, Hank talks about his career as a writer, and what made him get involved in the world of music.

Jim is a Canadian songwriter who is best known for his longtime collaboration with Bryan Adams, co-writing songs like "Cuts Like a Knife," "Summer of 69," "Run To You," and "Heaven" (which hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100). Jim has also worked with artists like Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Glass Tiger, Kiss, Roger Daltrey, and many more. In this episode, Jim talks about his beginnings in music, his career writing with Bryan, and helping David Foster with "Tears Are Not Enough," the Canadian contribution to African famine relief in 1985.
