We have a new chapter of Green Ops opening up in North Carolina. Mike Murry and Zac Wolfe will be running classes down there. Mike retired from the US Army in 2018 after 26 years of service, 15 of which were in 1 st SFOD-D (Delta Force). While in 1 st SFOD-D, he operated as an Assaulter, Sniper, Team Leader and Special Activities Troop Sergeant Major. During Mike’s career, he spent 48 months in conflict zones around the world conducting direct action raids, sniper missions and low-visibility operations. Mike is an active USPSA competitor and holds an A classification in Carry Optics. Zac is a former SWAT officer and instructor with many years of experience. In this episode Luke talks with Kristin Benton about getting the females in your life into firearms training. That first time walking into a range with her newly acquired handgun, she recalls, "I was so nervous and I felt stupid. I was surrounded by guys who knew all the things (or so I thought) and being a woman around all these "tactical dudes" made me feel like such an outsider." Thankfully, Kristin stuck in there and immediately fell in love with shooting and has been learning ever since. When you're excited about something you want to share it and what started as teaching girlfriends how to shoot for fun, has become something more in She Shoots Training! Steve Fisher of Sentinel Concepts joins Luke and Josh to talk about training with a carbine and setting up a fighting carbine. Steve’s career as a trainer started in the 90’s, first at NTFT and then later as the owner/ lead trainer of MDFI, both Michigan-based companies, and served as one of the primary Instructors for Magpul Dynamics. He was responsible for the development of new programs and tactics for several local police departments and new training curriculum’s based on low light, home defense and the use of the carbine, handgun, and shotgun in various roles. Steve has been featured in SWAT Magazine, Recoil Magazine, Breach-Bang-Clear, and has written for both SWAT Magazine and Surefire Combat Tactics. He is a product designer for Tuff Products and provides product development insight for companies like Nighthawk Customs, Midwest Industries, FN, Trijicon, Agency Arms, Surefire and Robar to name a few. Over the years Steve has participated in numerous training programs from notable instructors in the industry as well as many local level schools and stays active on both sides of the training industry.
