Controversy erupted around a Regina motel reportedly tied to a Saskatchewan Party MLA on Wednesday. According to Sask NDP ethics and democracy critic, Meara Conway, the Sunrise Motel is alleged to have inflated the rates of its motel stays for Ministry of Social Services recipients. The province, however, attributed the price discrepancy to damage deposit costs and clarified that the MLA in question does not work at or manage the motel. 980 CJME senior reporter, Lisa Schick, has been following the story.
