Buckle up, because this episode is all about the tea—and we’ve got a lot of it! First up, we're diving into your wildest confessions, and let’s just say, y’all did not disappoint. From sneaky Botox sessions to dating your best friend’s crush (and planning a wedding behind her back, no less!), we’re shook. And if you think that’s all, just wait till we spill on secret shopping habits—because apparently, self-checkout is a whole vibe!

But don’t worry, it’s not all scandalous—well, mostly. We’re also chatting about why boys are sometimes way more dramatic than we give them credit for and dishing on some good ol' sisterly jealousy. Plus, Riley has a genius plan for keeping tabs on an ex without even having to leave your couch. Spoiler: it involves dating apps, but not how you’d think. 😉

2 Year Check-in + Fall Trends26 Aug 202400:42:16

Send us a text

Today is the anniversary of CJ's death, and we're discussing Jaj’s two-year journey of grief and healing with some real talk, tears, and the frustrating, unexpected waves that come with loss. But don’t worry, it’s not all heavy—because who doesn’t love a good mix of tears and laughter?

On a lighter note, fall is coming in hot (or should we say, cool?), and we're dishing on our favorite autumn trends. We’re talking cozy vibes, our obsession with all things brown, and debating if Uggs and Doc Martens are really “out” (spoiler: we’re keeping them forever). Plus, we serve up two easy, delish chicken recipes you’ll want to make every day—because clearly, this has turned into a food show now. 🍲

Fall, fashion, and feels? You’ve got it all right here. Grab your PSL, snuggle up, and don’t forget to hug your people. Then hug them again! 🎧🍂

This Changed Me Forever18 Jun 202400:39:10

Send us a text

There is a particular sort of pause — a small, electric interval — that comes immediately before you make a choice. This strange split-second where you freeze, reflect, take stock, and move forward.

These instances are important: it's in these seconds that we exercise our greatest form of agency. We take responsibility for the shape of our narratives. We remind ourselves of the massive scope of our power. Whether embarking on our first solo trip or coming out to a loved one, these moments often become turning points in our lives.

Did CJ pause before he climbed into the truck that would forever separate him from his family? And you've heard from Jaj frequently about how that moment forever changed her life and by extension, the lives of those who love them.

Some things are big, some are small, but all are meaningful. We asked you about the moments that have shaped and changed the way you think, love, feel, and ultimately, live. One thing is super clear: from near-death experiences to moving across the world, your experiences have definitely shaped you into truly remarkable individuals.

If Only I Were Allergic23 Apr 202400:49:16

Send us a text

We live in a world that has so many incredibly good things, sweet drinks, cute clothes, and way too many other things that seriously tests our self control. So what if we had a little allergy? Not death-inducing, nothing requiring an epipen. A low-level allergy that would deter us from getting too much of a good thing. If we lived in a movie, it could even be a very manly, omnipotent voice that would stop us in our tracks as we reached for one more cookie or tells us to go to bed when we’re staying up to late. Are we on to something here?

It Ends With Us20 Aug 202400:44:28

Send us a text

Well, well, well, look who’s back! It’s Riley and Jaj, your trusty hosts who apparently forget they even have a podcast when summer hits. But hey, after the best girls' night movie date ever (70 of you showed up, no biggie), we’re here to break it all down—complete with tears, popcorn, and some unexpected male fans (cough John cough).

We’re spilling all the tea on the movie drama, the books, and—oh yes—the Blake Lively outfit fiasco (who okayed that wardrobe?!). Plus, what’s up with the actors stirring the pot? Domestic violence themes? PR gone wild? We unpack it all with our usual snark and a few side-eyes.

But that’s not all! We chat about sinking jet skis at Lake Powell, navigating the chaos of back-to-school, and gasp actually being excited for fall. Yep, we're "fall girlies" through and through—even if that just means pumpkin everything.

Whether you’re dragging your feet back to routine or still daydreaming about summer, you’ll relate to this wild ride. Tune in, laugh with us, and grab a snack because, well, food is life.

Jazlyn Feild: Surviving A Plane Crash02 Apr 202401:18:44

Send us a text

August 7th, 2020 started out as a beautiful day. Jazlyn and her husband Shad  took their friends and two of their sons for a ride in Shad’s plane to show off the beautiful county they live in from way up high.

What started as a fun day with friends quickly took a turn as the plane literally fell from the sky. Guided by a still small voice, protected in prayer, and the first of many miracles to follow, every passenger made it out alive. But just barely.

Nothing can ever prepare you for life after you survive a plane crash. In fact, Jazlyn still struggles to wrap her mind around what happened most days. But her story is one of compassion, true love and the real meaning of service. Join us as Jazlyn recounts the day that irrevocably changed her life and the lives of so many others.

Madison Fisher: Sexually Assaulted at 1112 Mar 202400:58:53

Send us a text

**Trigger Warning** This episode discusses sexual assault.

She has a well-known family and her children are beloved by so many. But Madison Fisher’s own experiences as a child who dealt with unwanted attention from adults and a survivor of sexual assault has made her a hyper vigilant parent and a voice for those without one. In our latest podcast episode, we engage in a deeply important and sensitive conversation about the crucial need to protect our children from sexual assault. The scars left by such experiences are not just physical, but deeply psychological, often shrouded in unwarranted shame and silence. It's vital to understand the immense courage it takes for victims to come forward, and the complex emotions they navigate. We delve into why it's essential to educate our children on the importance of speaking up, recognizing inappropriate behavior, and knowing they have a safe space with trusted adults. This episode is a call to action for all adults to be vigilant, supportive, and proactive in safeguarding our children's innocence and well being. Tune in to hear Madison’s powerful story.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, please see the resources below:

1. **Local Law Enforcement**: One of the primary steps can be reporting to the local police department. This is crucial for the possibility of criminal investigation and legal action against the perpetrator.

2. **National Sexual Assault Hotline**: In the United States, individuals can contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or use their online chat service. The hotline provides confidential support and can guide survivors through the process of reporting and seeking help.

3. **Hospitals and Health Clinics**: Medical professionals can treat injuries, provide emergency contraception and STI prevention, and collect forensic evidence through a rape kit. They can also report the assault to the authorities with the victim's consent.

4. **Victim Services Agencies**: Local or regional victim services agencies offer counseling, legal advocacy, and assistance in navigating the reporting process.

5. **Schools or Universities**: For assaults that occur on campus or involve students, most educational institutions have a Title IX coordinator or a similar official responsible for handling reports of sexual assault and harassment.

6. **Workplace Human Resources Department**: If the assault is related to the workplace or involves colleagues, reporting to the HR department can initiate an internal investigation and support processes.

It's important for survivors to know they're not alone, and there are resources and individuals ready to support them through this process. Each country and region has specific services, so it's beneficial to look for local resources that can provide immediate and tailored assistance.

Everyday Etiquette23 Jan 202400:48:32

There's nothing worse than a person who isn't socially aware. You know the type: they use the treadmill next to you even when others are free, at the airport, they stand way too close to the baggage carousel,  and they don't use their blinker when driving.

While we might be part of the problem (guilty of the very social faux pas we discuss in today's episode) we haven't got time for self-reflection – there's an event to plan and merch that might not be enough for everyone.

Today's episode is a whirlwind tour of everyday absurdities and a reminder that life is weird, people are weirder, and sometimes, you just have to laugh about it.

Discomfort sucks. Losing your job is embarrassing and humiliating. And many times, it feels like the end of the end. But what if it’s that start of a new beginning? In today’s episode we’re talking about something pretty massive that happened in Rylee and Josh’s life recently and the feelings that came along with it. And it had us thinking, are we looking at the end of things as failure or are we looking at the end of one thing as an opportunity to pivot and do something new and better? Why do we automatically attribute change to something negative?  Change is good. Change is cathartic. And change allows something new and better to come around the corner. I’m fact, we’re choosing to make change work for us and leave us feeling good as new.

That Gives Us "The Ick"10 Oct 202300:52:03

Send us a text

First coined by Ally in TV show Ally McBeal, "the ick" was originally a dating term that means you get a sudden cringe feeling when you have romantic contact with someone: and become almost immediately put off by them. But with the advent of TikTok, "the ick" has quickly grown to cover anything that's off-putting and makes us rethink our relationship with the item/person/song that is giving us that repulsive feeling.  So we asked you, dear listeners, what gives you "the ick?"

How To Love Yourself19 Sep 202300:39:05

Send us a text

Name 5 things you don't currently love about yourself and most of us will have no problem rattling them off. But try naming 5 things we love. Well, that list isn't so easy for most of us. We like to think of self-love as a practice, not a destination. There is no finish line you cross when you officially love yourself. It’s also not the same thing as being “in love” with yourself - there's a fine line between being confident and not cocky. But at the end of the day, we think loving who we are is done by giving ourselves grace and showing ourselves the same leeway you give others and we bet you'll feel good as new before long.

She’s a serial entrepreneur, had 5 kids under eight, established and ran a well-known cheer gym, and has established a high-end boutique medical spa that caters to the who’s-who of Utah, Maven Medical Arts.  And she’s Rylee’s mom! We discuss her journey, how she worked her way through various passions, and how her belief in her vision and leaning into her abilities has allowed her to create one success after another. She and her partner, Brooke Anderson have created a brand that’s well known and has thrived (despite opening right before the pandemic hit) due to their dedication to continued education, setting and maintaining industry standards (both Emily and Brooke are national trainers for 2 of the largest medical aesthetic companies in their industry),  and developing a culture of natural-looking aesthetic enhancements. We get to the bottom of celebrity faces and where they go wrong, what treatments to skip, and we find out if she’s really determining how many units of Botox we need as she’s talking to people. Medical aesthetic enhancements are a hot topic but we love that this is something people can indulge in to help them feel good as new!

Girl Mathing Our Way to Feeling Good As New05 Sep 202300:40:44

Send us a text

Hot on the heels of girl dinner comes girl math: a strategy for justifying large or unnecessary purchases. The calculations behind girl math aren't new, but the way we talk about those calculations — by rooting them in the collective experience of being a woman and the thrill of allowing yourself a treat or splurge — is. And while some people have shamed this trend as enabling overspending, girl math is just not that serious. For real. It's simply our silly way of justifying those purchases that we were going to make anyway. Instead of feeling shame about indulging every once in a while, girl math allows us to luxuriate in a new cashmere coat that we got with a gift card - which means it was basically free. Listen in as we girl math our way to feeling good as new.

I AM NOT WELL: Death, Depression, and Getting Dumped29 Aug 202301:01:12

Send us a text

In the days after your loved one's death, did anyone say to you, "You're so strong" or another variation on that theme? If so, how did it make you feel? Jaj's husband C.J. passed away one year ago Sunday and on this one-year anniversary, she's feeling very different than she thought she would.

She is sick of being strong and she's tired of being an inspiration...and she's sad. To top it off, she got dumped...and we didn't even get to tell you she was dating. Strength in the context of grief is much different than most accepted definitions. Doing simple tasks like getting up, taking care of others, and making sure life moves forward is brave as hell, but it feels like the opposite. Jaj is in a funk and she's sick of being an inspiration for people and being strong. It may be one year later but we're just now learning that healing and feeling 'good as new' is a much longer and tougher road than we anticipated.

But maybe the biggest lesson we learned over the past year? That sometimes showing weakness is the strongest thing of all.
