| Matthew and the Boyfriend Role | 08 Jun 2022 | 00:58:52 | |
It sure is swell to have long-time friend of the show Matty tell his tale of misjudged romance. Matthew joins us this week to bravely share the story of his first serious relationship. A movie geek since birth, Matthew grew up entranced by film and the glossy, epic tales of soaring romance that swooned and swash-buckled their way across the silver screen. Yet when this leading man eventually conceded to romance in the harsh light of real-life he starts to learn that carrying Hollywood's idealised version of love with you, and particularly into a relationship, may just trip you up. | Minisode 60 - Do Good Things | 01 Jun 2022 | 00:12:22
Time to have your insanity read back to you Readers. It's minisode time and we've found the best/most horrific dating stories from you the listeners, and online to make you feel better about your own dating lives. Apologies off the top for bombarding you with romance tales of terror Dear Reader, but we promise it gets better towards the end. On the show this week we hear that old diddling-the-maid-tale which includes proof via a theme park, we hear the tale of a bloke who seems to only date people who have English as a second language, and a well-meaning kid gets his heart torn in half like the gifted tickets he purchased - but then we end on a couple of lovely, wholesome moments to make it all worthwhile! If YOU have a dating story of your own, better feedback than what Liz and Tom have provided on-air, or even gushing compliments please send them through to ghostsofboyfriendspast@gmail.com Now go well, and go do good things! | Penny and the Best of Luck | 04 May 2022 | 00:37:25
It’s a minisode that turned into a main episode! Tom has the spicy cough known as Miss Rona, so Liz decides to bring producer Zane on mic for a minisode story. But thanks to listener Penny’s excellent writing skills and absolute SAGA of a relationship story, this one turned into one heck of a maxi-sode. Buckle in, my friends, because this story of friends turned lovers turned cautionary tale is full of f**kery. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
