Taking a long time to find the book in her apartment was the reason she was late at the train station in Munich. Not because of a broken bicycle. Also, her cell phone was not empty. She just didn't have time to answer it. Anna's gift is just as big as Paul’s lost book. She says: “This is the same bag as at the party. Your gift doesn't quite fit into the handbag. So THE book doesn't fit either, you idiot!“ She slams the new job hunting book she bought for Paul on the table and walks away. If his lost book had been in her bag, he would have seen it sticking out in the surveillance video. He realizes, Fritz is also innocent - his bag has the same size as Anna’s bag. Ask for information about people, talk about smartphones & perfect tense: er hat erzählt / gesagt. Paul wants to visit Fritz at the police station and report the theft, but he is not there. He is the new head of the theft department and is currently on vacation. That seems to be something that Fritz has been hiding. Does he have the book? If so, then he would become aware of the report. Therefore, Paul doesn't file charges. He gets a message from his mom: His dad is addicted to mobile phone games, and he now only has an old Nokia phone. He can’t be blamed that Paul lost his job because he can no longer receive WhatsApp messages. Apparently she has given him a smartphone ban. So that's what she was trying to tell him on the phone in Berlin when she said Father has problems. Paul is desperate. Fritz is the new head of the theft department? Why? So they don't know anything. And they are still angry at Paul. It seems it’s Fritz who has the book. Paul cannot confess to Grandpa that it’s gone because he is the last person Paul still has. Grandpa almost remembers the book, but Paul distracts him by asking him about the past: As a child, Grandpa thought playing war was great, but later not so much, because he only survived the real war by luck. Paul is also looking for Fritz's vacation posts on Facebook. With the help of the group, he finds out that Fritz blocked everyone from seeing them - except for Meili. A colleague wrote Fritz has just been promoted. Paul’s friends begin to understand his side a bit better now and he tries to get Meili to find out more. Grandpa almost remembered the book. Grandpa talks about „landing“ his plane in a forest and being a prisoner of war. Paul remembers Anna's shoulder is injured. She cannot carry anything. Grandpa advises him to quickly go help Anna. So he fortunately doesn’t remember to ask Paul about the book. Where are Fritz and the book? Why did he keep his promotion a secret?
