The Lion's Gate is essentially a period of heightened cosmic energy that offers opportunities for significant spiritual growth, healing, and manifestation. It’s celebrated by many who seek to align with its powerful energies to enhance their spiritual journey and life path.

The Lion's Gate is an astrological event that occurs annually between July 26 and August 12, with its peak on August 8 (8/8). This period is associated with a powerful cosmic alignment involving the star Sirius, the Sun, and the Earth, and is believed to offer a potent time for spiritual awakening and transformation.

During the Lion's Gate, the star Sirius, also known as the "Spiritual Sun," rises in the sky and aligns with the Earth and the Sun. Sirius is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is often associated with higher consciousness and spiritual illumination.

The event occurs when the Sun is in the astrological sign of Leo, hence the name "Lion's Gate." Leo, represented by the lion, is a sign of strength, courage, and leadership. This alignment is believed to amplify the energy of the Lion's Gate, encouraging personal power and creative expression.

August 8 (8/8) is considered especially auspicious in numerology. The number 8 is associated with abundance, power, and the infinite loop of energy and transformation. It is often seen as a symbol of balance and cosmic order.

By cultivating this internal awareness, you can explore your body from within, gaining deeper insights into areas that may be holding tension or experiencing pain.


During this meditation, you are encouraged to observe all sensations without judgment or resistance. This gentle observation can facilitate a shift in how pain is perceived and experienced.


Rather than viewing pain as a purely negative sensation, the practice encourages you to reframe your relationship with pain. This shift in perspective can lead to a more compassionate understanding of one's body and its signals.


Learning to feel the body from within and re-framing sensations are fundamental to healing pain through Yoga Nidra.

In Sanskrit, Anahata means 'unstruck sound' and is represented by the element of air and the colour green. It is also represented by a lotus flower.

Ayurveda uses the principles of nature's five elements, known as the 'Panchamabhuta'  (the theory of five great elements). Based on the Panchamabhuta concept, everything in physical creation comprises five basic elements that makeup nature. The five elements are earth, air, water, fire, and space.

According to Ayurveda, space, or Akash, is the most delicate element of nature. It is believed by Ayurveda that Akash, or space, was the first element to come into existence.

In this Yoga Nidra meditation, you will be guided to explore the space within.

The Hourglass

This meditation will take you on a beautiful journey up a mountain to enjoy a start night on a new moon sky.

The key part of the practice is the hourglass visualisation of your breath. Your head will be one half of the hourglass, the neck is the neck and the chest is the bottom half. With your inhale, you will allow your thoughts to descend from your head to your chest and then they will be vanished out on the exhale.

Opening your third eye chakra

The third eye chakra is located between the eyebrows and represents our sense of intuition, or inner knowing. This chakra incorporates our pineal gland, sinuses and eyesight, as well. The element of this chakra is ether (or, space), as the medium of intuition is higher consciousness.

Intuition is essentially our sixth sense. Our sense of inner knowing or higher wisdom which comes from a place other than our thinking mind or ego. When the mind’s chatter is loud and overwhelming, we cannot access this voice. It is still, and small, and the thoughts of the thinking mind and ego drown it out.

This prevents us from receiving the messages that are meant for us, that help to guide us in the right direction, or that lead us out of dark places. The ego is so convinced that it has all the answers, it never relaxes enough to let these more inspired answers through.

Duality and polarity will stop us from being in tune with our intuition. We need to know how our perception of the world is and stretch our persecute and awareness. We do this all the time through yoga and meditation.

We need to work with our shadows to understand our selves better and be receptive to our intuition.
