It's that time of year again when Geeksweat honours the latest and greatest of the film & TV industry based on released during 2021. King Dom takes to the plinth to announce categories and awards.

Joining him in the naming and claiming of awards is TJ as he helps to relay the nominees for each of The Geekies 2021 categories. There will be a few surprises, a few tears and of course man cheers.

MKH has hot Asian men on the brain, but what is he really talking about here??....of course he wants to know whether Asian men in cinema and film are part of a new wave or just a passing phase.

Bar Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen, the on-screen representation of east-Asian men since the beginning of cinema has been limited in western film and television productions until the last decade.

Are we on the verge of a renaissance? Particularly now that east Asian men are being cast in less stereotypical roles with more stories positioning them as leading characters rather than background or supporting cast members.
