GHiT 0740:  Fire Laps Returns - Even Better and Much More

It had been a wile since we spoke with David and Daniel from Fire Laps and we thought we had to catch up with how things were progressing.  Apparently, it had been way too long and things have advanced and grown in so many ways it was tough to cover them all in one podcast.  Their software has further developed and now can show you exactly what and where you can go faster on track, as well as comparing your performance with similarly capable cars.  But wait, there's more.  They have also now introduced Fire Link, a hardware device that automatically captures your data and uploads it to the Fire Laps system for analysis and sends you the briefing on what you could do to improve.  It also allows for live observation in real time.  We also cover some upcoming advancements and plans.  Plus, they were kind enough to give our listeners a discount code below for $50 off the hardware and 3 free months off the subscription (subscription is included for the fist year with the hardware)

Peter Granberg joins us this week with Vicki leading the way and Bill calling in from the road to repairing our E46 BMW race car.  Peter has been racing and recently focused on competing in GridLife's Club TR time attack series.  He has also begun to work with friends of the podcast at Robertson Racing and the coaching and hard work has paid off.  Peter finished on the podium for the 2024 season and missed the top spot by only 0.003 seconds at the last event.  How did he get here?  How did the season go?  Why coaching is so important?  What are the plans for next season?  Plus a few F&F Storytime questions.  Its all in here.

DwD 0645:  Curbs – Friend or Foe and How to "Use" Them

Ben is mildly obsessed with passing and speed on the track.  One aspect of the track that we haven't ever really discussed in detail is the presence of curbs at certain locations around the track, mostly at corner entry, exit and the apex.  Some can be friendly, others not so much.  We discuss options and precautions during the episode, but most definitely remember that all curbs are not the same.
