Chad has been in the newspaper business for over 34 years, mainly covering Iowa high school and University of Iowa sports teams. He worked at the Iowa City Press-Citizen in high school, and later worked for the Voice of the Hawkeyes, Cedar Rapids Gazette, USA Today and Des Moines Register.
