Seeing The Menstrual Cycle as a Breath29 Aug 202400:37:00

Our physical bodies are a direct reflection of our energetic rhythms, and that includes our menstrual cycles. This episode kicks off a series in which we will discuss the nuances of the menstrual cycle and its role in many areas of our lives. To truly understand the phases of our menstrual cycle, we have to first understand that it is way bigger than just a monthly cycle.

Menstruation is linked to many cycles in life that operate within different rhythms. And what we often fail to realize is that our menstrual cycle is a direct reflection of what we need on an energetic level. So instead of diving into the hormones and the data and the dos and don’ts for each phase of your cycle, I’m talking more about the energetics behind our cycle today and how our feminine energy is defined by life, death, and rebirth.

We must learn to listen to our bodies and adjust our energy to step into our full feminine radiance. It begins with nurturing ourselves. Tune in today to hear more about the energetics surrounding your menstrual cycle, and be sure to come back next week as we dive more into this series!

In this episode:

[00:46] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[02:28] We’re starting a series on the menstrual cycle this week.
[05:17] The Five “I”s of Feminine Wisdom.
[10:13] We are made in the image of God, which means we are made in the image of the Mother.
[19:03] The rhythm of our menstrual cycle goes far beyond the data points and the hormones involved.
[25:08] Our cycles are representative of the life, death, and rebirth cycle. It is representative of what is and what is to come.
[31:36] The same concepts that make up our menstrual cycle can teach us how to move through the different rhythms in our lives.
[35:52] Thanks for joining me this week. Tune in next week for more on this topic!

Repatterning an All or Nothing Mindset by Understanding the Polarity of the Mind Part 208 Aug 202401:04:38

There is so much power in words and within our minds that we often overlook the core concepts that drive the change we desire to see in ourselves. To be able to tap into this power and these dynamics, we have to understand the masculine and feminine parts of our minds, and how they feed each other.

The conscious and subconscious minds reflect the masculine and feminine parts of ourselves. The feminine is your subconscious mind, and the masculine is your conscious mind. The subconscious mind is influenced by the actions of the conscious mind.

When we seek to change our perfectionistic or all-or-nothing mindset tendencies, we have to remember that action will always be the last step. We have to begin with changing our words, thoughts, and energy. These are the predecessors to any action you can take because action is the fruit of these changes.

Join me today to learn more about the polarity of our minds and how we can leverage it to step into our true purpose. I know you’re going to love this, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

In this episode:

[00:00:46] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[00:03:05] We’re diving back into Part 2 of repatterning an all-or-nothing mindset today.
[00:07:15] The polarity of the mind, the nuance of the conscious and subconscious mind, and mental gender.
[00:12:52] The masculine and feminine aspects of God that brought creation to fruition.
[00:24:06] Action is the last step. It is the fruit of the change in your mind and energy.
[00:31:20] The beautiful dynamic of the masculine and feminine.
[00:39:42] I share some background on survival archetypes and how they impact us as women.
[00:45:28] Step into your feminine power and master your internal universe.
[00:47:32] The five eyes of feminine wisdom.
[00:56:33] How to better balance your energy to avoid going 130% all the time.
[01:00:12] Who are you trying to please? What is your resentment teaching you?
[01:01:33] Thanks for joining me on The Fully Nourished Podcast!

Hair Care Mistakes I've Made, Hair as Love & Giving Yourself Space to Breathe23 May 202400:59:11

My hair care journey has been exactly that, a journey. I’ve made so many mistakes when it comes to my hair, but I’ve finally found the right path to see growth and beauty both within my hair and myself. If you’re ready to start using your hair care routine as a way to give yourself space to breathe life and joy back into your body, then listen in!

So often when we talk about our hair, we’re talking about what’s going wrong and how to fix it. Whether it’s having bad hair days, thinning, hair loss, or breakage, we’re always looking for the quick fix and if it’s natural, even better.

But your hair is usually the last thing in your health and wellness journey to show positive change.

As I started healing my metabolism, finally getting out of burnout, fixing my hormones, and changing the environment that I live in, my hair went through a bunch of changes… not all of them good.

One of the biggest mistakes I made with my own hair was not knowing my true hair type. This goes beyond having curly hair or straight, fine or thick, blonde or brown. Do you know your hair porosity?

I didn’t.

And when it comes to hair products, your porosity makes a huge difference.

Want to learn more? Listen in and hear all about my journey and what you consider as you start looking at your hair care routine and products.

In this episode:

[00:46] It’s time to add to the conversation about natural hair care.
[03:22] The state of our hair is closely related to our internal health.
[06:31] When you experience hair loss your energy shifts… in a bad way.
[08:31] Don't neglect your hair.
[23:08] Learn more about my personal hair journey.
[25:14] Scalp health and hair health are two different things.
[26:00] No matter what changes you’re making, if something doesn’t feel right, trust yourself.
[29:51] Pay attention to what your products are doing over time as well.
[32:19] Even if you’re crunchy, you don’t have to be crusty.
[33:38] Things I wish I would have known before trying to go all natural with my hair care.
[36:10] Your environment matters when it comes to hair care.
[40:21] What hair porosity is and how it impacts your hair care.
[44:36] If you have super hard or soft water, try soaking your hair with distilled water before showering.
[46:16] What it really means when a brand says it’s “sulfate free”.
[53:00] The hair care routine that is working for my hair.
[57:00] Let’s start focusing on resilience over fear.

“Feral” Herbalism, Plants Aren’t Scary, Natural Haircare, Sovereign Beauty & Getting Over Our Fear of Nature with Arielle de Martinez16 May 202400:53:24

There has been a long developed stigma surrounding herbs and their uses in our lives. Common marketing surrounding herbal remedies is often stamped with confusing labels like, “Not FDA approved” and “If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a physician.”

What society has forgotten is that these herbs are the plants that our creator gave to us on this planet. They all have a purpose in our lives, from healing to beauty and everything in between—and they shouldn’t be considered dangerous if you are in tune with your body, whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or just wanting to seek more natural remedies.

My guest in this episode is Arielle De Martinez, and she shares such a refreshing and freeing perspective surrounding herbs and their uses in our everyday lives. Coming from a background as a hairstylist, Arielle began to wake up to the reality that surrounds the beauty and healthcare industries. Shampoos and products that she was using in her client’s hair were loaded with the fragrances and endocrine disruptors that we are all striving to get away from when leading a more holistic life.

If you’re considering leaning into herbalism in your everyday life and replacing some of the over-the-counter drugs and beauty products that plague our society with herbs, this episode is for you! I know you’re going to love it. Tune in today!

In this episode:

[02:19] Welcome my guest, Arielle De Martinez!
[03:19] Arielle shares her background and how she found her way into herbalism.
[07:05] How Arielle went from a hairstylist into a truly natural beauty product entrepreneur.
[10:46] The concept of sovereign haircare and Arielle’s hair care routine.
[16:39] What is at the core of the fear stigma surrounding herbs?
[19:25] The use of herbs during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
[27:28] Using your intuition and instincts when using herbs.
[29:47] Why you should stop using essential oils.
[37:21] The risks of using essential oils during delivery and with infants.
[43:41] Arielle’s favorite herbs to support beauty.
[47:34] Where can we source herbs?

Anima and Animus: Feeding the True Feminine Instead of Conforming to the Male Anima09 May 202400:48:18

Media has always had the power to shape our outlook on life and even how we choose to behave. I recently rewatched Sex in the City and identified how it so wrongfully shaped the definition of femininity in the late '90s and early ‘00s, by portraying empowered women operating under the guise of masculine energy.

Along with this, which arguably gave an extra boost to the feminist movement, we have a new spin on the definition of femininity that is coming from what is portrayed on social media between the boss babes, wild feminine, and trad wife movements.

This episode is full of so much information surrounding how we interact with the men in our lives, how the men in our lives shape our male anima, and how Yin and Yang energetics are supposed to interact. Tune in now!

In this episode:

[00:46] Welcome to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[07:29] The different groups of “femininity” that are portrayed on social media.
[12:54] What is misunderstood to be femininity is actually feminism, which is damaging to our true feminine energy.
[14:03] The background on Anima & Animus and what those terms mean.
[18:40] The difference between Yin and Yang energy dynamics.
[26:19] The masculine behaves in response to the feminine.
[28:31] The misconception of true femininity and women who shape themselves into what they think the men in their lives want.
[38:46] Feminine and masculine energy are not roles that we play.
[42:26] We cannot heal until we begin to mother ourselves and care for ourselves.

The War on Physiology, Trying to Erase Women and Why the Words We Use Matter with Isabella Malbin02 May 202400:58:14

Today’s episode is jam packed with meaningful conversation surrounding the controversial topic of what it truly means to be a woman. It is no secret that society is desperately trying to erase what makes women different and unique, and my guest - Isabella Malbin - joins me in this episode to discuss all that is being stolen from us under the guise of transhumanism.

The definition of a woman comes down to the physiology that sets us apart. As Isabella so clearly states, we are human first, then gender second. It is literally the second most important factor as a dimorphic species. While gender roles may vary across the globe or even across neighborhoods, there is nothing that changes the underlying physiology that connects us all as women.

We talk about the impact that gender ideology has on our power as women, the controversy of societal beauty standards, and about the lie we’ve been fed that our value is derived from what we achieve. Join me in this episode where we dive deep into these topics and so much more.

In this episode:

[02:20] Welcome my guest today, Isabella Malbin.
[04:28] Isabella’s experience with becoming a Doula and how gender ideology was introduced in that process.
[06:22] The story behind how Isabella discovered that gender ideology and birthing are completely incompatible.
[09:42] The slow waking that Isabella experienced while working with women and helping them advocate for their own health.
[13:00] How the concept of transgenderism waters down both the male and female physiology.
[19:21] The role that birth control has played in how women relate to their own physiology.
[26:51] Are women more powerful than ever, or is our power being taken from us?
[30:00] The difficulty of finding a political home when we hold the types of views that we do.
[32:11] The benefits of having children at a younger age and the misconception of fulfillment from funneling our self-worth into a career or accomplishment.
[39:44] We are robbed of the opportunity to watch our elders age without chemical intervention.
[50:08] Why does the language we use to describe women matter so much?
[52:03] The real end goal of the transhumanist takeover.
[56:14] Thanks for joining me on the Fully Nourished Podcast today!

Q&A Episode: Dairy Intolerances, Feminine Alignment, Female Fasting, Nourishment as a Gateway, "Healing Pounds" and Realistic Fat Loss11 Apr 202400:49:38

I’m excited to dive into the insights and feedback of my podcast audience today! I love the collaborative community that this podcast nurtures, and thank you to all of my listeners who submit write-ins for feedback and questions to dive deeper into discovering your feminine radiance.

One of the topics that came through that piqued my interest and that I thought warranted some discussion was fasting and how it doesn’t really work with female physiology. I could talk for an entire episode on this topic, and I will soon, but today I give the cliff-notes on fasting, how it is significantly different for women, and how it can actually keep us from stepping into our true potential.

Nourishment is a gateway. If your cells are not nourished, you will not be able to progress beyond basic survival. In order to connect to your feminine experience and expand your perspective in life, you have to move beyond a state of survival.

In this episode:

[03:00] Fasting and the impact it has on women’s health.
[09:24] The role of progesterone in our metabolic processes and nutrition.
[10:13] Getting out of the way of your physiology to expand your perception and life experience.
[17:21] Common misconceptions about dairy intolerance.
[21:14] How different people tolerate dairy and how to re-introduce it into your diet if you choose to do so.
[26:58] Misconceptions surrounding “healing pounds.”
[29:14] How restrictive diets can set you up for failure in nourishment and make you more prone to binging unhealthy cravings.
[30:46] Gaining weight in a pro-metabolic approach can correspond with not eating intentionally.
[34:39] Fat is protecting you from your environment.
[36:41] The balance between being too lean and being overweight.
[38:28] Taking personal responsibility for the calories we are consuming.
[40:29] Getting into movement and lymph work and utilizing fat in a sustainable way.
[42:15] The power of eating sensibly and the balance between intake and output.
[48:29] Thanks for tuning into the Fully Nourished Podcast today!

Making Friends with Stress & Creating Real Resilience with Jenna Hamm04 Apr 202401:03:37

When we explore female physiology and feminine energy, we are always confronted with how stress plays a role in both of these complex systems. We are often told that we must reduce our stress, but there may be more to it than that.

Today, I speak with Jenna Hamm, an integrative trauma therapist who is doing amazing work through Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, and Nervous System Regulation. Her work is unique because she is shifting the perspective from reducing stress to how to become more resilient through our exposure to stress.

A lot of the work we need to do in response to internal and external stressors relies heavily on listening to the messages that our bodies are sending us. Often, when we are faced with symptoms or up-regulated responses to stimuli, it is because we have not addressed an underlying pain within us.

Sometimes these responses to stressors in our environment are our brain’s way of creating safety. The trouble is that we are constantly seeking external saviors and remedies to our problems, and we aren’t taking the time to discover the underlying message our body is trying to tell us.

Jenna is an amazing guest who discusses ways to mobilize stuck stress, get the true rest our bodies need, and become more resilient in the face of stress. I know you’re going to love this episode. Tune in today to dive deeper into these concepts and how they awaken our feminine radiance!

In this episode:

[00:03:18] Jenna shares her story.

[00:11:41] The common misconceptions about the connection between stress and nourishment.
[00:15:14] We have to listen to our bodies to find the pain at the bottom of our symptoms.
[00:18:58] Instead of being victims of stress and seeking an external savior, we must take personal responsibility for facing the root of our stress.

Implosion of the Health & Wellness Industry and Burning Down Toxic Frameworks28 Mar 202400:44:02

As we constantly strive to find a state of regulation and resonance with our feminine energy, we are often presented with new information that may differ from what we have come to understand. In many circles, this new information could completely destroy the framework we have built, but in this episode, I’m here to encourage you that we can add layers of new information to our current knowledge without completely burning down our current framework.

While there are plenty of frameworks out there that are finally imploding, namely the health and wellness space, this concept is universal across society and the feminine and masculine energies.

As women, we were not meant to thrive in this type of rigidity. However, when we find ourselves in a state of dysregulation, our perceptions are easily distorted as we are doing what we think is best for survival, and we find ourselves trapped in these rigid and dogmatic frameworks.

Instead of focusing on external solutions to our problems, we need to address our internal dysregulation that causes us to latch onto unhealthy or toxic frameworks. As women, our feminine energy is seeking something to be devoted to. We crave a masculine framework to allow us to thrive within.

I’m so excited to share this episode with you today. I know you’ll love it. Tune in now!

In this episode:

[00:46] Welcome to the Fully Nourished Podcast!
[02:53] The toxicity in the health and wellness space and how it causes dysregulation within us.
[07:37] The types of chaos that are present in the health and wellness space currently.
[10:47] We cannot look for an outside source to fix us.
[13:17] The feminine dances within a masculine framework.
[19:26] How feminine clarity presents when you are in energetic equilibrium versus when you are in a state of fight or flight.
[25:16] The creator of the universe wants to be the framework we dance in.
[29:03] Male physiology and female physiology are two representations of material manifestations of our energies.
[33:26] My response to the implosion of the health and wellness space and what it means for women everywhere.
[35:30] We have to be devoted to a framework to truly thrive in our feminine energy.
[38:32] Destruction is a way to restructure us for growth.
[43:05] Thanks for listening today!

Repatterning an All or Nothing Mindset by Understanding the Polarity of the Mind Part 101 Aug 202401:02:13

There is a common theme that I see not only in the health and wellness space but all over the world, where women are striving for the moving goalposts of perfection. So many of us are trapped in the all or nothing mindset of perfection that we are missing the beauty of the gradients in our lives.

When we are trapped in a perfectionist - or an all-or-nothing - mindset, it is a key indicator that we are facing some sort of dysregulation in our nervous systems. This is causing a constant survival state and forcing us to choose between black and white without seeing the nuance of everything that lies in the middle.

What is truly at the root of our perfectionistic tendencies, and why do we have these beliefs about perfectionism? Where did they come from?

You must make peace with the shadow parts of yourself to master your internal universe, your thoughts, and your mind. When we address these parts of ourselves, we are uncovering a need that we have suppressed in the name of perfectionism, and we are opening the doors for change.

These needs and these changes are not battles or wars. Confrontation is a very masculine trait, and if you are trying to exert your will or even exercise a certain level of discipline, you will face an energy leakage at the rigidity of the energy you are forcing on yourself. It is not natural for the feminine.

Tune in today and be sure to come back next week for Part 2, where we dive deeper into how we can change our behaviors and our habits to break out of the polarity of mind and move away from the all-or-nothing mindset!

In this episode:

[00:00:46] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[00:02:05] How understanding the polarity of the mind can help us redefine perfectionism.
[00:05:20] The all-or-nothing mindset and where it shows up in our lives.
[00:10:36] Black-and-white thinking is a sign of being in a low-energy state.
[00:17:08] What is at the root of our perfectionistic tendencies?
[00:28:29] People pleasing is holding someone else’s view of success as your own, and it will not fulfill you.
[00:33:50] How the all-or-nothing mindset puts you in a constant state of fight or flight.
[00:37:25] Becoming aware of the problem of perfectionism is the first step to making peace with the shadow parts of ourselves.
[00:45:07] Change is not a battle or a war.
[00:52:05] Tapping into our imagination to define what the vision is for ourselves.
[01:00:25] Thanks for joining me in the Fully Nourished Podcast today!

Separating Our Value from Productivity, Looking Beyond Achievement and Creating in a Way That Respects our Feminine Essence with Belinda Marie21 Mar 202401:06:34

I speak with Belinda Marie in this episode, and we discuss the roots of feminine energy and what it looks like in different situations and in different people. She has so much profound insight to share on the topic of Feminine energy.

A big part of feminine healing and soft living is having the courage to shift in the face of misalignment. Feminine energy is based on the texture behind what we are doing and how it feels to do the actions we are doing, not so much the fruits that those actions reap.

As women in business, we have to be mindful of what we think we “should” be doing, and pay attention to how it feels for us to do certain things. Your value is not tied to your productivity or your ability to follow a certain path to content creation or marketing or success.

This interview and episode are full of so much insight into tapping into our feminine energy and bringing it into our businesses. I know you’re going to love it, and I can’t wait to share it with you! Tune in today!

In this episode:

[00:06:09] Welcome to the show, Belinda! Tell us about your background.
[00:11:03] How Belinda shifted out of a state of misalignment and into a place of independent business in her feminine energy.
[00:13:36] The feelings of fear when transitioning into something different and how Belinda transitioned into her current business.
[00:17:40] Part of being successful in business is being authentic while keeping boundaries in place to remove the pressure of authenticity and complete transparency.
[00:23:29] The ways that traditional business conflicts with feminine energy.
[00:27:52] Bringing the concepts of feminine energy into business.
[00:32:39] How constant self-optimization is in every facet of our world and how it drains our feminine energy by forcing us to constantly move in a linear direction.
[00:33:26] Feminine energy is not a linear process. It varies from person to person.
[00:40:57] Belinda shares the principles of feminine healing.
[00:44:35] As women, we are relational beings, but we need to find a balance where we still care for other people without caring much about what they think about us.
[00:52:05] Belinda explains the differences between the distorted masculine and the wounded feminine.
[00:56:42] The concept of trying to “be” feminine and how it is counterintuitive to feminine energy.
[01:05:00] Thanks for joining us today, Belinda, and thank you for listening to the Fully Nourished Podcast.

Why Feminine Energy is Difficult to Define, Feminine Rage and What a "Shift in the Female Collective" Really Means14 Mar 202400:42:42

Welcome to the kickoff episode for Season Two of The Fully Nourished Podcast! There is so much that this season has in store and I’m excited to share it with you. This week we are prefacing season two with an episode that touches back on feminine energy, frames the female collective, and dives into some of the shifts we might be noticing.

The health space has transitioned a lot in the last few years, and I think we are struggling to find direction in the mass of chaos that social media and the internet is feeding us. It has changed the creative process and taken it from a sacred process to creating just to create or creating to be competitive, which goes directly against the feminine energy that drives creativity.

To reclaim the sacredness of the creative process, we have to surrender and trust our bodies, the process, and our feminine energy while also waiting patiently and not forcing it because you can’t force genius. We have great power as females, and we need to accept the responsibility for that power to shift how we leverage that power in our daily lives.

As women, we are finally fed up with how we have tried to get by in life, and we are realizing that there has to be a better way for us to leverage our strengths. There is a collective rage that is brewing as we start to understand where our boundaries have been violated and how we have violated our own boundaries.

We have to let go of the things that are no longer working for us and shift our awareness while accepting personal responsibility for the violation of our boundaries, whether it’s from others or ourselves. We need to understand the impact that our daily activities have on our feminine energy.

Join me today in this episode, where we talk more about feminine energy and the different ways it is perceived in society. I know you’re going to love this conversation as we begin our journey in season two!

In this episode:

[00:46] I’m excited to share what season two has in store for us!

[01:49] The shift in the health space and how it plays into the collective shift.

[04:45] The overuse of social media and the chaos it feeds.

[11:24] Reclaiming the sacredness of the creative process.

[13:54] Understanding our power as females.

[17:32] The collective shift of women and feminine rage.

[24:09] The different groups of people and the types of feminine energy that we are seeing.

[26:33] How the Trad Wife community fits in with feminine energy.

[28:14] How does the messaging from these extreme feminine camps resonate with you?

[30:45] The confusion that stems from a collective shift.

[31:22] There are a few aspects that these camps missed out on while trying to define aspects of the feminine.

Gut Instinct, My Spiritual Journey Part 216 Nov 202301:10:54

Last week I shared about my spiritual journey and when we left off, I was entrenched in my bitterness and overwhelming disappointment with the church. I had lost all trust in myself as well as in this institution that had been a huge part of my life.

Which leads me to this week and the resources I’d promised to provide for how I dug myself out of that place. First of all, it took a while, but as my body and soul started to heal, I realized that God had never left me.

God did not leave me when I was in the deepest dark night of my soul. He was there holding me and waiting for me to reach back out.

My path to healing was a ton of time spent trying to better understand who God is. My constant companion was the request that He reveal himself to me. For me, that revelation happened as I dug deeper into the words of the Bible and the history surrounding the events that are depicted.

He is. In His own words, He simply is. Which means that He is energy and matter and He is in everything that we see and experience around us. The Bible actually says that quite frequently but it’s more than this great being in the sky lording His will over us.

He is truly within us and is teaching us through our own experience and intuition. Not quite sure what I mean? Listen to hear all about what I learned and why our greatest resource when trying to heal from trauma is to relearn how to listen to our gut.

In this episode:

[00:00:35] Welcome back to part two of my spiritual journey.
[00:03:33] Before anything else, allow yourself space to surrender and find your trust.
[00:05:42] When you’ve been brainwashed you have to relearn how to feel and follow your gut.
[00:10:10] Experiencing life is experiencing God.
[00:12:05] Why I call God, “he”.
[00:18:54] Have you really studied Jesus’s life and understand what it means to follow Him?
[00:22:00] Learn more about the history of Zoroastrianism and the correlation with Christianity.
[00:28:42] Magi were people who were committed to the worship of one God and they bowed down to Jesus as their God and king.
[00:35:54] Then comes Jesus born in the lowest of low positions but meant to be so much more.
[00:38:49] As Jesus grows up you see that he stands out because he’s a boy who survived mass slaughter.
[00:41:40] Leadership of the day is extremely threatened by Jesus and His message.
[00:53:58] Because you live you are a temple for the spirit of the Lord.
[00:57:15] Wherever you’re at in your spiritual journey, you already have the truth within you.
[01:05:07] One last story to leave you with as we close out season one.

Gut Instinct, My Spiritual Journey Part 114 Nov 202300:43:28

I’m going to shoot it to you straight. I struggled with what I wanted to say for the next couple of episodes. I had this vague idea of a topic and it just felt wrong. So instead of going with it, I went with my gut and posted one of those “True or False” posts on Instagram.

One of you wrote, “True or False: You used to be a Christian and now your beliefs are more New Age” and I think so many people were surprised when I said False.

Throughout this season we’ve touched on my spiritual journey, but I wanted to go a little deeper because my health and my beliefs have truly walked hand in hand. I have never been more sick than when I was wholly focused on the church and I’ve never been more well than when I focused on my faith.

Even when I was at the height of my inner turmoil and felt so bitter, so lost, so confused, and so jaded, I never once felt as if God had left me. He was there and held me through the pain and the turmoil and gave me the space to come back the root of my beliefs and faith.

In this episode:

[00:36] The time change has really messed me up this week. What about you?
[04:01] True or False: You used to be a Christian and now your beliefs are more New Age. Hear the answer.
[06:27] This episode is about trusting your gut and my spiritual journey.
[12:36] I’m taking you back to the beginning and providing more about my history and upbringing.
[19:42] Learn the first red flags I saw as I was growing more involved in this new church.
[23:18] Denying your intuition over time causes true division in your body and brain.
[30:50] Why do we feel like we need to revel in our suffering?
[32:23] I got to a point where I was so shut down, so sick, and I was falling apart.
[33:44] The straw that broke the camel’s back.
[37:11] When I left the church I lost everything about my identity at that time, but it all changed when I gave myself permission to not go to church if I didn’t want to.
[40:48] Even through the time when I was so over church, God was still there holding me.
[42:00] Come back for the next episode to hear more about how I got from despising everything about the church to where I am in my faith now.

Social Media, Cortisol, FOMO and Focus09 Nov 202300:47:01

The results are in from the poll on social media! I asked, and you answered, and I'm diving in today to talk about social media and how it shapes the way we view our health.

It will come as no surprise based on our discussions about social media in episodes past, but there is an overwhelming majority of women who feel that they are the farthest they have ever been from their health, even amidst the flood of health and wellness information that inundates social media platforms.

So why is that, and what is causing us to steer even farther away from healthy practices?

Social media can cause major shifts in our physiology, not just in our habits and our behaviors, but it even impacts our hormones and our neurotransmitters. The constant desire for new information and the need for a constant dopamine fix can leave us feeling entertained for a period of time but ultimately unsatisfied and worse than we were before.

The competition and comparison that comes with social media are also of great detriment to our feminine energy. When we are constantly comparing ourselves against an image of someone else, we shift away from viewing others as part of a community, and we can begin to feel flawed if we are not meeting a certain perceived standard.

These practices are not healthy, but there are ways that we can still leverage the power of social media without letting it control us. Tune in today to hear more about the impact that social media is having on our physiology and how we can use it intentionally to better ourselves!

In this episode:

[01:13] The results are in from the poll on social media, and the results may surprise you.
[05:38] The majority of us have gained a fear of missing out from our social media consumption.
[10:05] The need for the dopamine fix in social media consumption.
[12:10] The role of hormones and the behaviors they can drive in our physiology.
[17:01] Seeking constant newness is a result of estrogen dominance.
[19:54] How social media causes shifts in our neurotransmitters.
[21:51] The layer of comparison and competition on social media and how it shifts us away from our feminine energy.
[27:18] The sense of accomplishment from learning via social media content and the illusion of success
[29:21] There is power in lingering on information and researching as opposed to jumping straight to social media for information without context.
[30:51] We have become uncomfortable with being bored.
[34:32] Social media has the power that we give it based on how we use it.
[38:56] Ways to put up healthy barriers around your social media usage.
[43:40] Tapping into a physical community as opposed to the social media community.
[45:55] Thanks for listening to the Fully Nourished Podcast!

Heart of Stone: The Calcified Woman07 Nov 202300:47:45

As we near the end of the season, I wanted to touch on the importance of macro minerals in our bodies and what can happen when they fall out of balance. Minerals are key to our cellular functions and are tightly woven into our hormones for regulation. The combination of water, minerals, hormones, and cofactors all work together seamlessly and require a delicate balance to function appropriately.

So what happens when our macro minerals are out of balance? And what impact can stress play on our mineral absorption and mobilization? What is happening in so many women who are in states of chronic stress or burnout is something that is known as the calcium shell.

The calcium shell occurs in our bodies as a defense mechanism, serving to harden our tissues as a way of protecting us. We can feel the effects of this hardening in various places in our physiology, and it can even be seen in our emotions.

Working through calcification is not only about balancing our macro minerals but also working through the mineral patterns that have been imprinted in our emotional patterns. When breaking out of our calcium shells, we may be confronted with emotions and feelings that we were not able to feel and process before.

To appropriately work through your calcium shell, you must ensure that you are nourishing yourself completely on the physiological, emotional, and spiritual levels as you find the appropriate balance within your cells and bring yourself into alignment.

Tune in today to hear more about the best ways to balance your macro minerals and how awareness is the key to working through the calcified women phenomenon!

In this episode:

[01:38] We are talking about the Calcified Woman Phenomenon today.
[03:49] There is an intricate connection between hormones and mineral regulation.
[08:01] The interaction between the water in our bodies with electrolytes and other minerals.
[12:35] How our mineral patterns align with emotional and spiritual patterns.
[16:28] The impact of chronic stress on our mineral regulation.
[21:59] The role of calcification in our bodies and how it presents in our physiology and emotions.
[26:14] Calcification can pull calcium from our hard tissues, causing us to become more brittle.
[30:40] Finding the delicate balance to correct the calcium shell.
[32:34] Feeling the things that we ignored while we had the calcium shell and moving through the patterns as the shell breaks down.
[34:11] Easy ways to make sure you’re getting the appropriate amounts of macro minerals.
[40:16] Avoiding calcium in response to a calcium shell is not the answer.
[44:53] Awareness of our mineral patterns can help us be more aware of calcification.

Healing As An Initiation02 Nov 202300:43:40

We talked last time about balancing our blood sugar, what an important role it plays in the nourishment of our bodies, and the impact it has on how we manage our stress. Glucose is key to the body’s function, and we need carbohydrates for our cells to function appropriately to allow us to go deeper in our journey to healing.

Nourishment is an initiation. It is just the beginning of the healing that our bodies need to experience, but we can’t begin to heal without being in a place of nourishment. Sometimes, these healing experiences can feel like a roller coaster. Sometimes, we feel better; other times, we feel worse. But you have to trust the process, trust your body, and surrender to the healing that your body is crying out for.

Tune in today to hear more about where our nourishment can take us and what you can expect as you begin your path to healing. You’re not alone on this journey!

In this episode:
[00:46] Welcome back to the Fully Nourished Podcast!
[01:19] We’re continuing our discussion on blood sugar and nutritional nourishment.
[04:01] You must nourish on a cellular level to be able to go deeper.
[07:12] The practice of anchoring your blood sugar.
[09:06] Nourishment is the beginning of healing.
[12:00] Healing is a journey, not a destination.
[14:11] The messages that our bodies are sending us and the work that change requires.
[19:20] True healing can feel very uncomfortable as you transition away from a hypometabolic state.
[24:01] Your body is constantly telling you what it needs; you just have to decipher the language it uses.
[26:03] The journey to healing can sometimes start with chaos as you disrupt the current system, but you have to trust the process.
[28:33] Nourishment is the beginning of inviting your body to address some of the functions that have been neglected.
[32:38] Healing is not about fixing the individual broken pieces but trusting our bodies as it takes us on the healing journey.
[34:13] The realization of healing in your physiology and what it looks like.
[38:08] Life will push you out of your comforts to find growth.
[40:08] Nourishment is the initiation of your healing journey, and you’re not alone.

Low Blood Sugar IS Stress31 Oct 202300:46:01

With the rise in diet fads such as fasting and ketogenic diets, it is crucial to understand the role that glucose plays in our bodies and how nourishing our cells at a metabolic level is the key to moving away from stress and burnout.

Balancing your blood sugar appropriately on a cellular level is different from how social media trends tell you to manage your blood sugar. They almost want you to think of blood sugar and insulin as bad. But there are no bad hormones! Insulin is responsible for helping our cells use glucose for metabolic function - which is necessary for survival.

Listen in today to hear more about the key to managing your low blood sugar and how it can help you manage your stress, step away from burnout, and get back to a place of healing!

In this episode:
[00:41] Welcome back to the Fully Nourished Podcast!

[22:37] The impact of fasting and exercise on glycogen stores.
[24:51] Our Central Nervous System uses more glucose than any other system in our bodies, and the impact of low blood sugar on the brain.
[28:18] This is what happens in your body when it has to make its own glucose in response to low blood sugar and why it’s metabolically destructive.
[35:13] How the keto diet actually impacts your physiology.
[36:49] Insulin and glucose in your cells.
[38:26] Our state of being impacts our utilization of food.
[39:59] These are the factors that impact our carbohydrate tolerance.

Vanity vs Wisdom26 Oct 202300:37:24

We’re back for Part 2 of our discussion on Beautiful vs The Beauty Standard, and today, we’re talking about Vanity vs Wisdom and how the beauty standard has upended our values as a society.

In many of my episodes, I talk about social media and the damage it has on us as women for many reasons, and the standard of beauty is absolutely one of them. The culture of vanity that we see from influencers on social media is one that shapes our perspectives of ourselves.

These influencers genuinely believe that their following and their social appearance are what defines their value, and they put themselves on a pedestal, with their followers worshiping them as such. When we are engaged with these followers and are trying to mimic their looks and behaviors, we are allowing someone else to shape our vision and perspective of ourselves, and it significantly impacts our values and life trajectory.

If we can begin to celebrate ourselves for who we are and bask in the wisdom that we bring to society as a privilege of aging as opposed to chasing after youth, we will find the true meaning of beauty and redefine our values. Tune in today for a deeper dive into vanity and wisdom and the shift that the women in our society need to make to begin to truly value themselves and define what beauty is to them.

In this episode:

[00:51] Welcome back to the Fully Nourished Podcast!

[10:16] Our vision is being shaped by other people’s lives and impacting our values and life trajectory.
[13:30] It’s not new to care about beauty. The difference is the way we embody the pressures of society’s standard of beauty.
[18:28] Why youth is truly sought after.
[20:35] Societal values have shifted to vanity as opposed to the wisdom that comes with age.
[24:11] Stress shapes your skin and body, and much of our struggle for beauty is trying to hide the impacts of our stress.
[25:56] The opportunities and power that your thoughts hold.
[30:01] Negative thinking and the impact it has on the mind and body.
[31:18] The real link to beauty is nourishing and replenishing and shifting our perspectives to shape a new reality for ourselves.

The Feminine Libido - Part 219 Oct 202300:37:56

We’re back for part two of our discussion about feminine libido!

In our last episode, we touched on many of the spiritual factors that need to be taken into account when we’re looking at our libido. If we are not in a state of feminine energy, we will struggle with our libidos. This is a constant struggle with the pressures that have been pushed on us by society over the past several decades.

In order for us to truly understand our libido, we must first nourish ourselves on a nutritional level to support our metabolism and the role it plays in our ovulation. For women who find themselves in a state of burnout and masculine energy, we must shift back into our feminine energy to truly experience the vulnerability and surrender that is necessary for sexual pleasure.

Join me today as we get down to the nitty-gritty of the feminine libido and the steps that you can take to get back on track with your nourishment, your feminine energy, and your partner.

In this episode:

[03:00] The tissues of the female physiology, how they retain tension and stress, and the hormones responsible.
[07:43] The different drivers between male and female libidos and the impact of pheromones.
[11:02] A breakdown of the infradian rhythm and its impact on the female libido.
[13:40] The differences between male and female arousal and the role it plays in the female pleasure in sex.
[19:38] Understanding the impact of ovulation on the female libido and the hormones that are involved.
[23:58] Estrogen imbalances and the impact it has on sex and libido.
[26:17] Our bodies must be nourished for our physiology to perform appropriately and contribute to our libido.
[30:57] The relationship dynamic between men and women and some of the factors that may be impacting our libido and sexual relationships with our partners.
[34:00] Women being in a state of masculine energy can often be the catalyst for relationship breakdowns.

The Feminine Libido - Part 117 Oct 202300:32:55

The female libido is one of the most requested topics in this community, so we’re diving in head-first today to look at the deeper intricacies of the female libido and the different physiological factors that influence it.

It’s no secret that hormones play a huge role in our physiology and, likewise, in our libido. While much of society is experiencing difficulties with sex drive and libido, they are often looking for a band-aid fix rather than diving deeper to understand the “why” behind our troubles with libido.

In our society, it’s easier to take a pill or a supplement to “fix” our libido than it is to take a good hard look inward to see where our bodies are out of balance and the necessary steps that we need to take to bring ourselves back into alignment, not just with our sense of self, but to allow us to be vulnerable and soft with our partners.

Societal pressures have steered us away from understanding feminine physiology on a deeper level, and they have blurred the lines between lust and female libido and natural sexuality.

Join me today in this episode, where we dive deeper into the roots of the feminine libido and the changes we need to make to re-align our bodies with our feminine energy. You won’t want to miss it!

In this episode:

[00:00] Welcome back to the Fully Nourished Podcast!
[00:35] We are diving into the Female libido today and the roles that hormones and physiology play in our libido.
[03:06] The question for boosting our libido isn’t in the “how” but needs to be shifted to the “why.”
[05:16] You have to define what “libido” means to you and how it coincides with your feminine energy.
[08:23] The female body is spiritual in essence, with a driving reproductive life force.
[10:57] The phases of our reproductive cycle are a reflection of the life/death/rebirth cycle.
[13:51] The dominant female hormones and the role they play in libido and your feminine energy.
[17:40] How the male and female physiologies complement each other and mirror libido.
[20:08] Societal pressures that impose on libido and the confusion between libido and lust.
[26:44] We must remove the societal beliefs and confusion surrounding sex and libido to truly understand our physiology and experience vulnerability and pleasure.
[29:34] Your libido is a reflection of your feminine energy.
[31:14] Thanks for listening today! Come back on Thursday for more talk about the female libido!

Boundaries, Stress & Beyond Saying “No”12 Oct 202300:40:57

Boundaries have been a hot topic for quite a while in the health and wellness space. One of the ways that we misunderstand boundaries is that, rather than imposing our feelings on someone else under the guise of a “boundary,” boundaries should really be more about understanding where the line lies between one person and another.

A prime example of having a firm boundary is when it comes to our feminine power. There are so many mixed messages on social media that portray femininity that do not represent what true feminine power is. Enforcing a boundary is drawing a line between how you interpret your feminine power and how someone else is portraying it.

We can still acknowledge and respect someone else’s view of what feminine power is without embodying it ourselves. Ultimately, nobody but you can define your feminine power, and what is right for you may not feel right for someone else. So much of our feminine power comes from us being in alignment with ourselves, and that requires kind but firm boundaries.

Boundaries may also be something that you will have to identify within yourself. We need to begin to hold each other accountable when we see one another acting in ways that would cross the boundaries that we’ve identified for ourselves. If there are actions or behaviors that we exhibit that knowingly induce stress, we must hold ourselves accountable for those behaviors and the impact they have on our overall physiology.

Tune in today to hear more about what it really means to have boundaries that go beyond just saying no and help us truly tap into our feminine power and potential.

In this episode:

[00:00] Welcome back to the Fully Nourished Podcast!
[01:09] A recap on the discussions in previous episodes surrounding burnout, lack of nurturance, and mother wounds.
[02:52] We are all so different, and yet, still the same.
[05:28] We need to draw a boundary around what true feminine energy is and not confuse it with what social media attempts to portray it as.
[10:20] Understanding our boundaries and how we impose them with vulnerability in our lives.
[15:41] What does true femininity mean, and how is it different from the “wild woman” behavior?
[19:55] You must hold yourself accountable for behaviors that induce stress or physiological consequences.
[25:08] Feminine boundaries in different cultures and beliefs.
[32:19] We need to use our feminine power to build a better future for our men and our families.
[37:52] We have to decide what natural womanhood looks like for ourselves and set healthy boundaries around our feminine power.

Hungry For Presence Part 210 Oct 202300:42:53

In our last episode, we talked about this overarching, deep, insatiable hunger for nurturance, guidance, and presence. So many of us desperately needed that growing up, but we lacked the mothering or community that was necessary for us to learn how to nurture ourselves.

As women, we often struggle with the fundamental feeling that we are not good enough or we are not doing enough. We operate and behave from what we have learned from previous generations or society, and it puts us on a deeply ingrained autopilot of the things we believe that we should be doing.

With the influence of mothers on social media, we may find ourselves feeling the pressure to have children. When we are operating in a state of masculine energy, social media can put us in a state of competition. When we see other mothers having babies, we might feel like we should too. Instead, we should be reflecting inward and asking ourselves if we truly want to be a mother.

Tune in to this episode to hear more about the needs we have for community, guidance, and nurturing and how we can find our way back to our feminine energy by focusing on being present and focusing on what truly matters.

In this episode:

[00:35] We continue our investigation into the deep burnout we find ourselves in and what’s driving this intense need to stay in our masculine energy.
[02:14] So many women have an insatiable hunger for nurturance, and we lack the patterns or behaviors that are necessary to nurture ourselves.
[05:20] Women lack the community that we need for guidance and nurturance that then teach us how to nurture ourselves, and it is a huge gap in our society.
[11:04] Generational ideas and beliefs warp our sense of reality and must be reprogrammed to what is true.
[16:20] Our communities are shaped by the women that we are seeing on social media who are leading extremely shallow lives and do not deserve to influence our sense of reality.
[20:52] The roles that our hormones play in our physiology when we are in an active state of masculine energy.
[26:05] Living within the rhythms of your body allows you to feel fulfilled and in alignment.
[27:16] We need to seriously ask ourselves if we want to be a mother or if we are choosing to have children because we feel that we are supposed to.
[30:48] Stop glorifying shallow womanhood and stop allowing social media to shape your perception of yourself.
[34:16] How do we come into our feminine energy?
[38:00] Nurturing someone or something else can help bring you out of the hyper-focus on yourself.
[40:13] Showing up present and focused on what matters can make a huge hormonal impact on our physiology.

Hungry For Nurture - Part 105 Oct 202300:43:11

Healing from trauma is a process that requires a nourished body and a shift into your feminine energy. Many women are finding themselves in a state of burnout in high masculine energy and are struggling to heal from their trauma as a result. We have to shift back to our core nature as women to truly process and heal from our traumas.

As women, we desire to feel safe and secure and to have stability in our lives.  We often look at our symptoms, such as thin hair, dull skin, and infertility, and we do not see the underlying issue that our metabolism is out of whack. We’ve been stuck in burnout, and we are not nourishing our bodies to operate at the capacity that they should.

Our relationship with our mothers has taken the main burden of shaping how we interpret feminine relationships and how we shape our sense of self. For those of us who are struggling with generations of mother wounds from abandonment, it can be difficult to find and embrace your feminine energy to nourish ourselves.

This episode is such a deep cleansing dive that can help us take a deeper look at why and how we operate the way that we do and start to lean into the importance of nurturing ourselves, even if we never really learned how to.

In this episode:

[02:35] There is a connection between burnout and your identity and sense of self.
[05:10] Healing our trauma is a physical process and requires nourishment to accomplish.
[09:19] There are lasting effects of chronic adrenaline and cortisol on your fat and muscle tissues.
[15:57] At our core, women desire to feel safe and to have stability.
[19:12] The deep Mother Wound in our generation and the role it plays in our metabolism and how we nourish our bodies.
[28:56] The relationship we have with our mothers shapes our sense of self.
[37:55] We need to listen to our bodies and understand the consequences of ignoring what feels right in our bodies and the impact it can have on our children.
[39:32] The metabolic process and symptoms of the mother wound and where we see it in society.
[42:15] Thanks for listening today. Join us next week for Part 2!

The Missing Piece of "Healing Trauma"03 Oct 202300:34:05

Over the last few years, trauma healing has come to center stage and gotten a lot of attention. So much so that we’re beginning to label any experience that proved to be difficult as ‘trauma.’ And for experiences that we’ve had that are traumatic, we aren’t healing from it or processing it appropriately.

Because of this, our trauma starts to become part of our identity, and instead of moving on, we hold it with us as we move through life.

When we are in a state of burnout, we think that healing from our trauma is the magic fix to our problems, when we actually have to be in a different state of mind entirely to heal from our trauma.

You can not heal from your trauma while in burnout. You have to nourish yourself first. You also can’t recover from something you haven’t removed yourself from. Part of nourishing our bodies is considering the environment that surrounds us and the relationships we are in.

Tune into this week’s episode to hear more about the mistakes we often make while we try to heal from our traumas while surviving in a state of burnout and the steps you can take to nourish yourself through it!

In this episode:

[00:00] Welcome to the show!

[07:23] Why is the way we heal from trauma causing us to become less resilient?

[12:37] How trauma becomes part of our identity when we don’t heal from it properly.

[14:59] Establishing a strong sense of self is crucial to being healthy.

[22:08] Balancing your nervous system is the first step to healing from trauma.

[24:25] You must nourish your body to appropriately heal from your trauma.

[29:01] You can’t heal in a toxic environment, and you can’t recover from what you haven’t removed yourself from.

[32:47] Thanks for tuning in today! Come back on Thursday to dive deeper into this topic!

How to Get Out of a Rut: Let's Talk About Burnout28 Sep 202300:58:39

I dive head first into burnout this week and break down what burnout is and what it does to our bodies on a deeper level. Burnout puts us in a state of fight or flight, and for those of us who have been experiencing burnout for several years, the physiological effects can be extreme.

For women, burnout comes as a consequence of operating in a state of masculine energy for a prolonged period of time. For some of us, this goes back years and years into our pasts, where we have been trying to achieve the narrative that has been put before us ever since we were little girls.

Stepping away from a place of burnout is difficult because, as we remove the layers of masculine energy, it takes some of our identity with it. The things that we were using to identify ourselves were defined by our ability to continue in a state of energy that does not come naturally to us.

The best way out of this season is to look within. Sometimes, our body has to turn inward in order to be able to expand outward. If you’re experiencing burnout, I encourage you to surrender to the process of finding rest and acceptance in this journey.

Tune in to this episode to hear more about burnout, how we can navigate it, and how we can build ourselves back up after we’ve taken the time to recover.

In this episode:

[00:00] Welcome to the show!
[03:25] What is burnout, and how does it impact the feminine physiology?
[07:53] I share my most recent bout of burnout, the impact it had on my body, and how I navigated it.
[14:42] What it really means to step into your feminine nature.
[23:11] The types of messages that women are exposed to that keep us in a state of masculine energy.
[28:34] What is the next step after stepping out of burnout?
[32:28] The body is a vehicle for your soul.
[34:28] Finding the balance between feminine and masculine energy.
[36:40] The ups and downs to healing after burnout.
[44:04] Health, healing, and nourishment can’t be confined to a timeline.
[48:29] The role of trust, surrender, and acceptance in stepping out of burnout.
[55:40] Acknowledging your burnout as an opportunity to change your perspective and begin to take the steps to feel fully nourished.

Heresy Heals: The Broken Bond Between Women- Female Competition, Finding Friends as an Adult, Letting Go, Sitting At the Feet of Your Masters (Part 3)11 Jul 202400:47:22

This episode is focused on the relationships and community we find in other women and how these bonds have been damaged. In today’s society, most women are in a state of burnout or wearing a more masculine mask as a defense mechanism - neither of which provides a conducive environment for making and building relationships with other women.

In this episode:

[01:50] We continue our Heresy Heals Series with Part 3 today.
[04:00] Our constant search for safety behind a masculine mask keeps us from being seen and building friendships.
[12:49] As women, our basic desire is to be seen and heard and to be safe while being seen and heard.
[15:31] We all carry our own vibrations, and we attract the energy we are putting out.
[17:25] The mistake of expecting your partner to fill the void of female connection.
[19:10] We have a deep need for a community of other women.
[22:16] We need to shift our perspective when seeking female connections to understand where other women are coming from.
[23:59] The concept of Intersexual Competition.
[28:39] Exercising caution when seeking friends to ensure you are avoiding women in a state of competition.
[32:32] We should be praying to our creator for friends instead of actively seeking friends.
[34:16] Shift your focus to connecting with women who share your values.
[39:49] Approach your relationships from the perspective of giving. Focus on what you can give instead of what you can receive.
[42:40] Periods of loneliness in your life are often lessons.
[44:46] Thanks for joining me today on The Fully Nourished Podcast.

Heresy Heals: Why “Getting into Your Feminine Energy” Feels Impossible: Introducing the Nourishing Practice of Energetic Equilibrium (Part 2)04 Jul 202400:57:35

We continue our Heresy Heals series with Part 2 in this episode. We are deep diving into the roots of the word “Heresy,” and what it actually means and how it’s not as bad as the word has come to be understood.

Ultimately, the root of heresy is finding your own way to the truth that is meant for you. Truth is not absolute, and we often forget that part of seeing the perspectives and truths of others is how we grow and expand as individuals.

As women, we always carry our feminine energy, and I’m dropping the phrase “getting into your feminine energy.” We always have feminine energy; it is integrated into our physiology. The big thing we have to remember is that everything is about balance. Feminine energy isn’t the only thing we need to focus on, and masculine energy isn’t “bad.” Maintaining a balance of masculine energy and feminine energy within our being is how we can protect and nourish ourselves simultaneously.

This episode is full of so much information on how we can better balance the masculine and feminine energies within us, as well as finding our own truth and carving our own path throughout our experience and interaction with our creator. I know you’re going to love it. Tune in now!

In this episode:

[00:45] We continue our Heresy Heals Series with Part 2 today.
[03:31] The power of words and a deep dive into the word “Heresy.”
[08:32] Finding the truth for yourself as opposed to choosing either black or white extremes.
[10:45] Truth is infinite.
[14:27] The mistakes that are being made in the health and wellness space and the truth they are missing out on.
[20:34] Using your imagination is a critical component to resonating with our feminine energy.
[23:00] The misconceptions of feminine energy in the current society and why they completely miss the mark.
[25:45] I’m dropping the phrase, “getting into your feminine energy.”
[30:01] The roots of the word “Gender.”
[32:31] Reflections of masculine and feminine energy within our creator.
[37:59] The continuum of masculine and feminine energy.
[46:32] Nourishing our bodies and the feminine energy within us and making way for expansion in our lives.
[51:38] We need to Mother ourselves.

Heresy Heals: Searching for Truth is Nourishment for the Undernourished Spirit (Part 1)20 Jun 202401:06:20

Nourishment goes so much deeper than just the food we eat. I’ve talked in my other episodes about how we can nourish ourselves on a deeper level to really step into our feminine radiance, and one of those ways that we haven’t explored is spiritual nourishment.

Everyone will have a different experience on their journey for truth, but I wanted to share some of what I experienced when I decided to step back from organized religion and leave the church. When we are affiliated with specific religions' doctrines and trying to live by the code, we can easily miss some of the elements that I believe our creator destined for us.

In this episode:

[00:02:20] Welcome to the beginning of a 4-part series: Heresy Heals.
[00:04:03] After Heresy Heals, I want to spend the rest of the summer answering your questions!
[00:06:02] Nourishing our spirits with the truth is a crucial part of our nutrition and overall nourishment.
[00:10:32] What I have learned in my quest for truth.
[00:18:32] The masculine and feminine dynamics of creation.
[00:21:17] My spiritual journey, leaving the church, and the quest for truth I experienced.
[00:32:41] What did Jesus study, and who taught him?
[00:47:56] Some background on Christian Mysticism and debunking the term “New Age.”
[00:51:46] Why physical energy and nourishment are key for us to focus on spiritual nourishment.
[00:53:38] Holding space for creation to come to fruition
[01:04:29] Thanks for joining me today on The Fully Nourished Podcast! Be sure to tune in next week for part 2!

My Personal Spring “Detox” - Why I Invite Detoxification in the Spring06 Jun 202401:15:22

Detoxing has become such a marketing fad that I think we have lost the meaning and importance of the word and what it actually means for our bodies. In truth, the true ways to detox don’t revolve around a certain supplement or tea or product. Detox begins within.

There are three main things you can be doing to support your body’s systems for detoxification and that is general nourishment with nutrient rich foods, regular bowel movements, and reducing stress.

Tune in to this episode to hear more about how your body is detoxing every single day and what you can do to support that, as well as a few anecdotal examples and some of my favorite detox practices!

In this episode:

[00:00:46] Let’s talk about detoxification
[00:08:09] Fad language surrounding detox activities.
[00:14:38] Seasonal cycles that impact the body and it’s ability to detox.
[00:22:10] The body’s way of inviting detoxification.
[00:29:31] Functionality of the lymphatic system and how it supports detoxification.
[00:33:01] The vicious cycle of toxins in fat storage and weight loss.
[00:39:50] Key pointers to encourage your body’s internal detoxification processes.
[00:44:05] Follow the lead of your body to support detoxification.

The Menstrual Cycle & The Mother05 Sep 202400:40:33

When discussing the menstrual cycle, we obviously have hormones that play roles in our bodies and in our cycles. However, we have to look at all these hormones as a unit and consider how they interact and impact each other to truly understand what’s happening within our bodies.

We’ve lost touch with the history that coincides beautifully with the activity that happens in our bodies and how our cycles are so intertwined with our creator. The menstrual cycle is much like a breath, inhale, and exhale. It represents the movement of energy.

The symptoms that occur during our cycle can tell us much more than which phase of our cycle we are in. Our bodies speak to us and it’s trying to tell us the things we are yearning to know, but we’re just not ready to listen yet.

There is so much that we can learn from a process that our bodies go through every month if we are willing to open our ears and listen to what our bodies are trying to say. I know you’re going to love this episode. Tune in today to hear more about this topic, and be sure to join us next week as we dive more deeply into progesterone and how crucial it is to our cycles.

In this episode:

[00:46] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[02:27] The role that hormones play in the brain.
[05:30] Our feminine experience and the hormone disorders we face.
[08:37] I share some background on the spiritual history of our Mother.
[16:14] The menstrual cycle as a breath and as seasons.
[22:55] Measurement of the main hormones throughout our cycle and the role they play with each other.
[30:52] The mechanics of our hormone levels during the follicular phase and during ovulation.
[34:22] What our hormones are doing during ovulation and moving into the luteal phase.
[39:07] Next week, we’re taking a deep dive into progesterone in our bodies and where it plays in our cycle. Be sure to join us!
