In this closing episode with Ireland's finest golfer, Padraig Harrington, we look back on how he found joy in the game again and his involvement with the return of golf to the Olympic Games in 2016. Padraig recalls his start on the Senior Tour in 2021 and, later that year, captaining the European side in the COVID-delayed 2021 Ryder Cup. We wrap up with him reflecting on his legacy, the work of his foundation, representing the R&A as their "Working for Golf" Ambassador and the success of the putting course he donated to his community. Perhaps Padraig will best be remembered not for his 3 major championships or his place in the World Golf Hall of Fame, but for his wildly popular golf instructional video series, "Paddy's Tips", which has gained him notoriety throughout the world. Padraig Harrington's passion for the game and for living come through in this concluding chapter of his life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Padraig Harrington - Part 4 (Winning Three Majors)01 Jan 202500:44:49

6-time Ryder Cup player Padraig Harrington recalls the preparation required to position himself to contend and ultimately win major championships. Much of this episode is devoted to Padraig recounting his three major championships that came in quick succession beginning with the 2007 Open Championship at Carnoustie where he changed drivers after 36 holes and prevailed over Sergio Garcia in a 4-hole playoff. Padraig came into the 2008 Open Championship at Birkdale  with a wrist injury and he didn't hit a full shot that week until the first round. It turned out to be a comfortable 4-stroke win over Ian Poulter. It was at the 2008 PGA Championship at Oakland Hills where he barely made the cut before firing rounds of 66-66 on the weekend to best Garcia and Ben Curtis by two shots. Join us as Padraig Harrington looks back on several career highlights, "FORE the Good of the game."

Padraig Harrington - Part 2 (The Early Years - Continued)01 Jan 202500:47:16

Get ready for an engaging conversation with the winner of 37 professional events (so far) Padraig Harrington, a golfing great whose amateur record is as impressive as his professional career. We'll kick off this episode reminiscing about Padraig's early golf influences, particularly his admiration for Christy O'Connor Sr. and his 'perfect golf swing'. Listen in as he recounts his early amateur successes featuring  three Walker Cups that included a win over the U.S. side at Royal Porthcawl in 1995. He remembers when it first dawned on him that he could play poorly and still score well, a learning that instilled confidence in him at a young age when he already possessed a brilliant short game.

As we move forward, we'll explore Padraig's significant transition from amateur to pro. His impressive amateur success led to high expectations when he turned pro, but he had to face immense pressure playing in the qualification round of the European Championships. You'll hear about his unique style of play, which surprisingly, led to some overlooking him in the media. His first event on the pro tour in Kenya and his success in the PGA Championship in South Africa promise for some gripping tales.

Wrapping up our conversation, we delve into the competitive golfing scene in Ireland during his junior years, and the benefits of playing in the country. Padraig shares fascinating stories of the great Irish players he grew up hearing about or playing alongside. From the legacy of the Ryder Cup in Ireland to the story of Fred Daly, J.B. Carr, and Jimmy Bruen, this episode is rich in Irish golf history. So, whether you're a golf enthusiast or just love a good story, don't miss out on this delightful journey as we continue with Padraig Harrington's life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Lance Barrow - Part 4 (Remembering Broadcasting Greats and Legacy)10 Jul 202500:41:15

In the powerful conclusion of our four-part conversation with legendary CBS Sports producer Lance Barrow, we uncover some of the most personal and unforgettable stories of his extraordinary career. From the NFL Today set to the sacred grounds of Augusta National, Lance shares candid reflections on the iconic broadcasters, athletes, and entertainers he worked with and admired—including Dick Enberg, John Madden, Jack Whitaker, Arnold Palmer, and even Dean Martin.

With his trademark humility and warmth, Lance recalls moments with Hubert Humphrey and Ted Kennedy, emotional lessons from his mentors, and hilarious encounters with household names. In one of the episode’s most touching memories, he recounts Arnold Palmer ordering an “Arnold Palmer” at Augusta—an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of what made Arnie so beloved.

Lance opens up about knowing when it was time to step away from the spotlight and the values that guided him throughout a 50-year career at CBS. He speaks openly about leadership, mentorship, and why preserving the legacy of greats like Summerall, Madden, and Devlin is a mission he’s proud to embrace.

As Bruce Devlin and Mike Gonzalez pose the final three questions of the podcast, we hear Lance reflect on lessons learned, potential do-overs, and—most meaningfully—how he hopes to be remembered.

This episode is a tribute to one of sports broadcasting’s finest—a storyteller, mentor, and man who always put people first. Join us for a heartfelt sendoff to a remarkable career and an unforgettable interview series with Lance Barrow, FORE the Good of the Game.

Shaun Micheel begins this episode by recounting his breakthrough win at the 2003 PGA Championship at Oak Hill CC which featured a closing 7-iron shot for the ages to within inches on the hole. Lance Barrow - Part 3 (Masters Moments and Tin Cup)10 Jul 202500:41:35

In Part 3 of our captivating four-part conversation with legendary CBS Sports producer and Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee Lance Barrow, we explore the heart-pounding drama and behind-the-scenes brilliance that define some of golf’s most iconic moments.

Barrow recounts the unforgettable 2019 Masters and Tiger Woods’ emotional triumph through the eyes of a producer who knew exactly when to let the moment speak for itself. From the powerful silence after Tiger's final putt to the poignant replay of his 1997 embrace with his father—juxtaposed with his 2019 hug with son Charlie—Barrow reveals the planning, instinct, and teamwork that create television magic.

We also relive the famous chip-in at Augusta’s 16th hole, a shot so perfect it felt scripted. Barrow takes us inside the production truck, where split-second decisions, a well-placed camera stabilizer, and one fortuitously delayed button push combined to capture an immortal image.

Lance shares what it takes to "define the moment" rather than be defined by it, paying tribute to colleagues like Jim Nantz, Steve Milton, and legendary cameramen whose instincts and preparation brought the game to life.

The episode also takes a lighter turn as Barrow recounts his role in the film Tin Cup, from unscripted lines to unexpectedly quotable fame, and fond memories of post-round meals at Augusta's French Market Grille.

With stories that range from heartfelt to hilarious, Lance Barrow offers a masterclass in storytelling, humility, and the art of capturing greatness—on and off the screen.

Don’t miss this remarkable inside look at golf broadcasting from one of its true visionaries.
