Rum Social’s gastronomy story is about taking a step away from the daily routine and embarking on a kitchen and cocktail dance. A flow amongst colors, fabrics, textures and sounds of a beachfront island lounge… full of great flavors and fairy tales.

This is a luxurious tropical dining experience, back-dropped by a revitalizing view of the Laguna Beach, California. The focus was to bring fun colors and textures into a space that would still bring an elevated experience for the dining customer. It was also important for Kenneth Ussenko Design to influence the space with small details of art and photography that was truly a part of their own journey throughout the tropical islands of the world as he was growing up.

Rum Social is located in a beach town and the design integrates very well because of the tropical vibe with a “Tree-house” bar that takes you away to a Hemingway speakeasy with images and stories of beach life and sea tales. This design concept works so well because this town of Laguna Beach needed another elevated restaurant concept. Kenneth Ussenko Design wanted to bring a different kind of seaside dining experience and from the response of the locals this concept has been embraced very well.

THE YEAR WAS 1707 In Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, Blue Weber agave was cultivated by jimadors to produce an agave spirit, known today as Tequila.

As Diego Osorio, our founder's great-great-grandfather, learned about this liquid and transported it in sherry wine barrels to his native Spain, he discovered the liquid aged within this sherry-bathed oak created a smooth and elegant Tequila unlike any other.

THE LEGEND CONTINUES For almost five centuries, lore of the Osorio Tequila was passed down. Diego Osorio, a descendent of the same name, set out to recreate the recipe, journeying back to Mexico, through Altos de Jalisco and Oaxaca.

Many jimadors, crafters, and contributors from around the world helped refine the liquid and culminate the brand that is Lobos 1707 – continuing a legacy of extraordinary Tequilas and Mezcal.

THE LEGACY LIVES ON Within the design of every Lobos 1707 bottle are elements that retell the legend - The Osorio coat of arms composed of wolves, the escutcheon animal, and the Agave Wind Rose Compass representing an adventurous spirit and honoring the brand's Spanish and Mexican heritage.

On the Rocks, a narrative nonfiction book written by Maria Costanzo Palmer and Ruthie Robbins, chronicles the journey of personality Joseph Costanzo, Jr. in his rise to success in the 1990’s as world renowned restaurateur and owner of The Primadonna Restaurant, radio host, columnist, and aspiring politician through his sharp fall ending in an investigation and a stint in federal prison in the early 2000’s. Voted one of America’s top restaurateurs by The International Restaurant and Hospitality Rating Bureau, Costanzo is arguably the greatest restaurateur of his generation. Through his marketing genius and innovation, he took a neighborhood restaurant in a tough steel town in McKees Rocks, PA and turned it into a nationally recognized eatery featured in Playboy Magazine and The New York Daily News.


Regardless of whether a reader has ever dined at The Primadonna, visited Pittsburgh, or heard of Joe Costanzo, On the Rocks is a relatable story. Neither a chef nor an entrepreneur, postal carrier Joseph Costanzo, Jr.’s relentless determination propels him to extraordinary success and distinction with his restaurant; however, this underdog story does not end there. A love of travel, different cultures, world history and wine, is what led me to pursue my passion of all things wine.

Moving from California’s Monterey Bay area to Utah in 1998, I began working first at Snowbird, then Deer Valley Resort. This led to many travel opportunities, where I always found myself near wine regions. Upon exploring this fascination for what goes into the bottle a new passion was ignited, and I’ve never looked back. Sharing my love of wine with others has led me to pursue more education, more travel and a more in depth love of the vine and wine.

I received my Intro Sommelier with the Court of the Masters and became a Certified Sommelier with International Wine Guild in 2011, followed by Certified Specialist of Wine – CSW in 2015 through the Society of Wine Educators, and in 2018 obtained Certified Wine Educator – CWE, only shared by 443 others in the world, which allows me to teach anywhere on the planet. In June of 2020, during the COVID lockdown I was able to pass the American Wine Expert course with honors!

I founded Park City Wine Club in 2012 to bring wine tasting, pairing and fun to our community, showcasing menu items from many local restaurants and tasting wines from all over the world. In addition, I am the state educator for the employees of Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control, a Professor since 2011 with Fox School of Wine and the Director of Education with the Culinary Wine Institute.

Rather a novice or enthusiast there is something for everyone in the world of wine!

Mary Sue Milliken is an American chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and radio and TV personality with a focus on Latin cuisine in the United States.

Milliken is a graduate of Chicago's Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute.

After working together in Chicago and Paris, Milliken and her longtime collaborator, Susan Feniger, settled in Los Angeles where they founded the critically acclaimed City Cafe in 1981.[1] They eventually expanded to a larger space on La Brea Avenue, renaming the establishment CITY Restaurant. In 1985, they opened the Mexican restaurant Border Grill in the original City Cafe space, before moving it to Santa Monica in 1990. The restaurant later expanded to Pasadena (closed) and the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.[2] Broadening their culinary horizons, Milliken and her partner opened Ciudad in Los Angeles in 1998. The success of the three restaurants has often led Milliken and Feniger to be recognized for single-handedly changing Los Angeles' culinary landscape.

In collaboration with Feniger and others, Milliken has published five cookbooks: City Cuisine (1989), Mesa Mexicana (1994), Cantina: The Best of Casual Mexican Cooking (1996), Cooking with Too Hot Tamales (1997) and Mexican Cooking for Dummies (1999/2002).

Milliken is also a seasoned TV personality, starring with Feniger in 396 episodes of Too Hot Tamales and Tamales World Tour on the Food Network in the 1990s. Prior to the shows on the Food Network, in 1993 Milliken and Feniger appeared with Julia Child in her PBS series Cooking With Master Chefs.[5] Milliken also prepared with Feniger the food that was served in the 2001 movie, Tortilla Soup.

Milliken and Feniger were a team of sixteen chefs on the Julia Child series, Cooking With Master Chefs in 1993.

Most recently, Milliken appeared on the third season of Top Chef Masters that aired in 2011. She was the first runner up and won $40,000 for her charity, Share Our Strength.

Sam the Cooking Guy is an everyday guy who has found a way to make cooking casually understandable. With no fancy equipment and by speaking English instead of ‘chef-speak,’ I’m sort of the everyman of cooking. I have two shows, the TV show SAM THE COOKING GUY airs on YUR VIEW with COX, and my online show, STCGO. Both are shot right in my house – and I cook with my kids, dogs – just like we all do. There’s no fois gras… no white truffle oil, no ‘Peruvian mountain-raised squab in sesame-lime-soy marinade stuffed with braised forest turnips and wild enoki mushrooms in a hand pressed plum and raspberry glaze’. I’m just a regular guy, using regular words showing how to cook easy, great food… Food that’s ‘big in taste and small in effort’. It’s a handful of ingredients and a few steps – that’s it. This is a cooking show “for the rest of us,” I like to say.

Chipperbec potatoes - The World's Greatest Frying Potatoe16 May 202200:39:16

Chipperbec potatoes have been developed over the past 40 years by America’s most experienced potato farmers to meet all of the demands of today’s restaurant chefs.

While Chipperbecs are the world's greatest frying and chipping potato, they are also a wonderful potato for mashing, potato salads, potato pancakes, shepherd’s pies, and more.

And as for vitamins and minerals, white potatoes are stuffed with vitamins C, B6, niacin, folate, potassium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus.

The Chipperbec potato is a brand of a white round potato variety, which has been commonly referred to as a “Kennebec” or “Kennebec-style” potatoes in recent years.


The actual Kennebec, a specific variety of white potato, existing today as an heirloom crop, is no longer grown in mass quantities and the word “Kennebec” has incorrectly been used in the industry as a general term for white chipping potatoes.

Chef Ming Tsai Founder of MingsBings15 Apr 202200:37:32

Ming Hao Tsai is an American restaurateur, television personality, celebrity chef, and a former professional squash player. Tsai's restaurants have focused on east–west fusion cuisine and have included major stakes in Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Massachusetts (a Zagat- and James Beard-recognized establishment) from 1998 to 2017, and Blue Dragon in the Fort Point Channel area of Boston (a Zagat-recognized tapas-style gastropub named in Esquire Magazine "Best New Restaurants 2013").

Tsai hosts Simply Ming, a cooking show featured on American Public Television, in its seventeenth season. Past shows Tsai hosted include Ming's Quest, a cooking show featured on the Fine Living Network, and "East Meets West". Tsai appeared in the Food Network cooking competition The Next Iron Chef (2010).

In 2017, Ming received the world-shaking news that his wife Polly had been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. While they explored medical treatment options at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Polly also made the life-changing decision to transition to a strict vegan diet with the hope of lowering inflammation by using food as medicine.

Using his chef background, Ming knew that he could create delicious vegan options for his wife. However, when he went to the grocery store in search of quick meal options or savory meal replacements, he was disappointed by the variety and quality of the options on the market.

It was in that moment he recognized a new mission. As he developed meal options to help his wife heal, he would also help people in search of a plant-based diet find alternatives that not only nurtured the body but delighted the taste buds. His first product would be a delicious veggie patty that could be prepared quickly and eaten on the go with an ingredient list full of foods he recognized. And with that, MingsBings was born.

Jeremiah Tower is an American celebrity chef who, along with Alice Waters and Wolfgang Puck, has been credited with pioneering the culinary style known as California cuisine.[1] A food lover from childhood, he had no formal culinary education before beginning his career as a chef.

It would be difficult to overstate the importance that chef Jeremiah Tower has had on American cooking. He’s one of the giants, a chef who carved a path so innovative and so important into American culinary life that today’s chefs still follow it without perhaps even knowing about Tower himself.

It started at Berkeley’s Chez Panisse, back in 1972, after the Connecticut-born, well-traveled son of aristocrats, and Harvard-educated Master of Architecture Tower joined Alice Waters in the kitchen of her restaurant. He had always cooked, and cooked well, for his friends, read historic cookbooks for pleasure, and loved the art of preparing food far more than he did the planning of buildings. He was an immediate hit in the kitchen and eventually became a partner. He not only brought exquisite European-style cooking to the Bay Area, but he and Waters created a truly American cuisine, using ingredients sourced ultra-fresh and locally and devising a fresh new way to prepare them. After six years at Chez Panisse, Tower moved on, as executive chef at Big Sur’s Ventana Inn, San Francisco’s Balboa Café, and as co-owner of the Santa Fe Bar & Grill, where he explored southwestern cooking.
