The truck, a 1954 Ford, is named Hattie and shares so many smiles and stories at all of her events. Kara Jamison began her journey with growing cut flowers in 2018 at her farm in Tennessee. She has become a well respected voice in teaching others how to grow cut flowers for both personal enjoyment and flower farming. Her farm and work with cut flowers has been featured in multiple media outlets such as Talk of the Town Nashville, Volunteer Gardener, and Bloom TV Network. She has spoken at multiple conferences on the topic of cut flower growing such as Pick TN Conference, Women in Ag 2022 and 2023 by University of Tennessee Extension and Fleursociety Floral Design Summit. Her farm is featured in a University of Tennessee Cut Flower publication, The Turquoise Iris Journal and Nashville Voyager. She is a featured creator for Bloom TV Network including hosting the Flowers and Friends Talk show and recording produced shows about cut flower growing in PBS Studios in Denver, CO. Kristina Lux is a San Francisco Bay Area native. She’s been married for 32 years to her best friend. They have four grown children and one grandson.  Her flower truck business has been such a wonderful addition to this season of life.  She got her VW in October 2020 and had her first Pop-Up on Valentine's Day 2021.  Over 190 pop-ups and 36 private events later, Kristina is loving her flowery adventure with Sweet Pea.  In this episode, Missy and Kristina chat about the joys of their flower truck businesses, how Kristina got started with Sweet Pea and one of her latest events that was pretty epic!

In this episode, Missy talks to her daughter, Sydney, about the process of producing Lena’s Zinnias, the children’s book she wrote, and Sydney illustrated.  There were several interesting twists and turns throughout the process and Sydney had a lot on her plate at the time.  But, this labor of love, in honor of Missy’s grandma/Sydney’s great grandma was worth it all.

Sydney is a Mixed Media Artist, living in Kansas City, MO. She lives with her husband and her dog, Hazel. She primarily uses acrylic & watercolor paints in her work, and enjoys including gold leaf & oil pastel as her signature technique. Sydney is known for large, vibrant floral canvases and feature walls. She also has a crafty side - you can find her polymer clay creations on her Etsy shop, The Boho Babe KC. Sydney is the illustrator of Lena's Zinnias, written by her mom, Missy. Sydney was born and raised in the Saint Louis area. She studied Art Therapy as an undergraduate student, and then went on to earn her Master's degree in Education. She has always had a passion for mental health and overall wellness. She started her professional career teaching Middle School Art and is now focusing on growing her art business, while also working as a wedding coordinator & patient coordinator part-time.

Krista started Flowers From Judith in August 2021.  She had this idea for many years after her mom passed.  From Jan, 2021 to Aug, 2021 she quietly created FFJ.  She kept it a secret from everyone until she was ready to launch.  FFJ is a pop up flower truck at local coffee shops and private events.  The flowers are homegrown and never imported.  Listen in to hear what makes FFJ so unique in the flower truck world.
