Episode #28: Fellini Week 5 (I Vitelloni + Intervista)

samedi 8 octobre 2022Duration 01:17:57

On episode #28 of Floating Through Film, we finish our series that was picked by Luke, Federico Fellini! We conclude by reviewing one of Fellini's earlier movies that vaulted him to fame, 1953's I Vitelloni (1:35), and one of his last movies that shows the complete evolution of his filmmaking over the course of the next 40+ years, 1987's Intervista (29:33). We then conclude the series by reflecting back on the movies we watched by answering some questions Luke had for us about the films (funniest Fellini, favorite song/musical moment, favorite dream sequence, early or late period, and why should someone watch Fellini), before ending by ranking our own top 3 Fellini movies (59:55).  We hope you enjoy!

samedi 3 septembre 2022Duration 01:19:21

With the 2022 Sight and Sound List going to be released sometime soon (a poll on the greatest films of all-time conducted every 10 years), we thought it would be fun for us three to come up with our own personal lists. Outside of picking the films themselves, the discussion was also fun in each of us revealing our own personal criteria and the variety of factors we considered when picking our lists. We hope you enjoy!

Blake's List: 10:18

Dany's List: 31:22

Luke's List: 47:28
