16. The Flirting Episode! with Benjamin, the Flirt Coach
Episode 16
vendredi 26 juillet 2024 • Duration 01:10:31
It's the Flirting Episode of Flirtations!
Flirting week continues with the big debut of the first ever solo episode of Flirtations as I bring you a conversation all about my favorite thing in the world ... the FLIRT!
This episode kicks off with more of my story and the evolution of the Flirt Coach, then we get into three big flirting topics that are the foundation of my flirt philosophy: flirt styles, my signature F.L.I.R.T. framework, and the 5 D's of the flirt.
We'll get into what flirting truly is and how to do it. I'll talk about how to tell if someone is flirting with you, ways to have more flirt confidence, and offer plenty of strategies so you can flirt like you've maybe never flirted before.
Finally, we wrap with answers to your burning questions about the flirt. How do I flirt if I'm shy? What if I get too nervous to flirt? What if I get rejected or they don't flirt back? Is the flirt created equal? If a guy is just giving me compliments, is he flirting? How do I flirt long distance? What about flirting in a long term relationship?

15. Improv Your Flirt! The Intersection of Improv Comedy and Flirting with Jamie Clark
Episode 15
lundi 22 juillet 2024 • Duration 01:01:51
It's "Flirting Week" on Flirtations, Flirty!
And the first of two flirting themed episodes is a conversation all about flirting through the lens of improv comedy with multidisciplinary teacher and improv comic Jamie Clark!
Lemme ask you ... does flirting make you nervous? Do you sometimes overthink the flirt? Or be critical of yourself that you're not good at it? Maybe weird or awkward when you flirt? Do you have a fear that it can go wrong? What about a fear of being seen, of putting yourself out there? Do you have a hard time staying in the present moment and not feeling anxious?
If you answered "yes" to even one of these questions, please listen to this episode!
We break down the flirt in a unique way by looking at flirting though the framework of improvisational comedy and offer a plethora of practical advice and mindset shifts to see the flirt in a whole new way, build your flirt confidence, and unleash your inner flirt, flirty!
Then, at the end of the episode, we play the "ABC" game, a classic improv comedy skit.
This all plays out now on this episode of Flirtations!

About our guest: Jamie Clark is an artist, performer, somatic coach, and improv teacher who's passionate about living a life that is bold and authentically expressed. If you told the 12 year old version of her that one day she'd be performing hour long romantic comedies that are completely made up on the spot based off of a suggestion from the audience, she would look at you like you had three heads. She was the shyest little bunny growing up and historically struggled to speak up for herself, let alone speak in front of other people.
If her life was a movie you were watching and she was the main character- let's just say you'd probably be on your phone scrolling or gettin' busy with your partner on the couch instead of actually watching. Through a mix of very intentional inner child work, somatic practices, and learning the art of improv comedy, Jamie now travels the world guiding students virtually and in person in the art of public speaking, authentic expression, and bringing more play to your everyday life. Often the things we are most afraid of are the very direction we're meant to go for our greatest and most exciting expression. It takes an open heart and a willingness to do the scary thing to try out a new character in the movie of your life - and it's so worth it.
She's grateful for the opportunity to hear your story, witness your humanity, and catalyze your transformation. While she is not currently very active on social media, you can connect with her on LinkedIn or Instagram.
If you listened to this episode and want to share your experience, she'd love to hear from you! You can drop her a note at intentionalimprovbiz@gmail.com

Be your authentic self. Just be you. And don't forget to be vulnerable! And have fun, too!
Ummmm, ok, thanks?! But what does this mean? What if you aren't sure who you are? How do you be vulnerable? What does that look like? How do you have fun dating?

Authenticity and vulnerability will be foundational to your life, in dating, relationships, and beyond, and I'm so excited to bring you this episode.

About our guest (in her words): My name is Jamie Mercadante and I am a Yoga Instructor and Content Creator. I grew up in Newport News, Virginia and now reside in High Point, NC with my husband and kids. I have taught yoga for a decade and began creating social media content consistently in the beginning of 2024. With that being said, none of this would be possible if I did not make the choice of being Sober. My sobriety date is July 7, 2013.
For me, teaching Yoga has been an authentic way for me to truly connect with others. Yoga has been a path I wholeheartedly embraced after making the decision to change my life that has provided me with a true contentment and being grounded. I try to live by example that Yoga isn’t “what you do” it’s how you live”. I love teaching teacher trainings, workshops, vinyasa and yin classes, as well as meditation. I have taught yoga in the Triad for right at a decade and have really made long lasting connections with people. Recently, I have taken a pause from teaching to learn more and to expand possible teaching opportunities outside of the Triad.
This year I found a new passion that has caught me by surprise, which is being a content creator. I love being genuine and authentic, putting myself out there, and really wanting to be relatable to others. We all have similarities about us; being feelings and emotions, situations and experiences, traumas and celebrations, that we all can relate to. I have found in an organic way, that with being vulnerable and authentic on social media, that I can be relatable to others and build relationships through discussions on yoga, sobriety, women supporting women, and day to day life experiences. You can find me on Instagram under my profile @justcall_me_james_and my contact is Yogajamie108@gmail.com for yoga, collaborations, and to share my sobriety story.

About our guest: Madisen Smith, aka the "Gut Goddess," her story in her words: Since I can remember, I've struggled with digestive issues. As a kid experienced stomach pain, food reactions and unexplained bouts of diarrhea, gas and bloating. I thought my symptoms were normal. I always saw doctors as a kid and they simply told me "everything was normal". My digestive issues took a turn when I was prescribed multiple rounds of antibiotics for reoccurring tonsil infections at the age of 18. My symptoms became a daily struggle and debilitating. I spent years getting blood work, stool tests, colonoscopies and seeing multiple specialists, all to be told I had a bit of inflammation and IBS.
As defeated as I was over the course of 8 years trying to figure out my gut issues, I became incredibly passionate about health. I decided to go back to school and study holistic nutrition. I attended National University of Natural Medicine in 2016 and received a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition.I know what it feels like. I know your gut issues are impacting SO much more than the food you can eat. I created my business and programs for people just like my past self. I wish I had the support, guidance and direction of someone who understood what I was going through all those years.
You can learn more about Madisen and her coaching on her website and Instagram.
