| Rimfire Radio Show 26 – Baffle Maxxing & Fragile Egos | 20 août 2026 | ||
In Episode 26 of Rimfire Radio, ARDrew nurses a bruised ego from a scathing listener email while the crew breaks down guest Chris UYT’s wildly impressive garage machining projects, including a suppressed revolver and an ECM-bored AR-9 barrel. The absolute chaos escalates as Dan conducts a live "desk pop" using 12-gauge dummy rounds and dissects the latest 5.7mm drama between Kel-Tec and StuffNThings. Meanwhile, Gat Lab gets relentlessly roasted into oblivion over AI-generated liver spots, and Dusky recaps his hot-weapon USCCL match runs alongside some questionable .380 ballistics testing. Topped off with breaking NFA litigation news and the usual unfiltered banter, it’s two straight hours of glorious, high-octane gun-nerd degeneracy.
| Live Fire Media Show 60 – Aliens – X-Files & GOALS | 19 août 2026 | ||
In this packed episode of the Live Fire Media Show we dive into horror movie gold with The Last Voyage of the Demeter—a solid Dracula story pulled straight from one iconic chapter of the novel that delivers real tension and atmosphere.
We also discuss the up and coming released R-rated Director’s Cut of The X-Files: I Want to Believe (dropped August 14), why Spider-Man 4 is looking promising, the buzz around The Odyssey streaming on X, and the disappointing news that an Alien: Romulus sequel is currently off the table.
On the gear side: the Pulse Rifle mag well Gen 3 is 3D-printed and looking sharper than ever with more enhancements and details. Plus—Mini-14s are back and popping hard!
The big highlight is our GOA GOALS trip to Des Moines. For me it felt just like Hunter’s SHOT Show experience—seeing friends and then some. Hanging out with the AR-15 Podcast, Let’s Go Hunt, AK47 Radio, and especially the Airbnb with We Like Shooting was easily the best part of GOALS.

| AK-47 Radio Show 047 – SVT-40 and Some Other Nonsense | 19 août 2026 | ||
It’s just Will and Sam holding down the People’s Airwaves tonight, which means any semblance of structure is abandoned almost immediately. After going thoroughly off the rails, the comrades manage to drag themselves back on topic for a quick dive into the Soviet SVT-40, its history, quirks, and place in the Red Army. Then they debut a new segment dedicated to the weird, wonderful, and occasionally questionable world of random Russian military vehicles. It’s rifles, Soviet machinery, and two guys demonstrating exactly why they probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised with microphones.

This is a 3D model release on GunCAD Index containing STEP and STL files for optic mounts designed specifically for Nightalliance 2011 Maxxing frames. It offers two styles, six optic mounting patterns (including ACRO, Docter-Noblex, Pic Rail, RMR, RMSc, T1-T2), Gas Pedal and Non-Gas Pedal variants, plus length options for Full, Commander, and Short frames. The page serves as an indexed preview only; actual files must be acquired from the original source.
Why it Matters: Enables precise red-dot integration on custom 2011 pistols in the growing 3D2A community, allowing shooters to upgrade iron-sight platforms with modern optics without factory limitations.
The Vibe: Clean, modular CAD aesthetic with purposeful engineering details—gas pedal extensions, multi-pattern plates, and frame-specific lengths that emphasize performance-oriented customization over factory aesthetics.
Hot Take: In the 2011 maxxing scene, bolting a quality optic directly to a printed or custom frame is now the baseline, not an afterthought.

The SPEDBRO SP22 is a 3D-printable knockoff of the Sedco SP22 / Jennings J22 design by FreedomWare. Question from Anonymous Coward from Maryland
Hello guys I recently just found you guys on spotify. I live pretty close to river edge tactical. I have a question for you guys. I’ve been getting pretty hardcore into training. I have a nice plate carrier, gun belt.They’re all set up.I have decent rifles and pistols. I cannot find anywhere where I can train and learn and just have fun. I’ve been to a few ranges close to me And you can’t really do anything there as you guys probably know . Just seeing, if you guys know anywhere, or does river edge tactical do that kind of stuff. Thank you
Question from Anonymous Coward from Texas
I asked this question a year or 2 ago. Jeremy happened to be gone when you read it and you all went “fuck, I don’t know. That would be a great question for Jeremy”. So here’s hoping he’s there when it’s read this time.I would like to know what kind of accuracy I can expect from a savage 99 and a Winchester 88. Those are both lever actions without a magazine tube so they can shoot pointy bullets. The biggest part of accuracy is obviously the shooter, but compared to other rifles types of the same age: would you say they are as accurate as other bolt actions or will they still be around the same as other lever actions?
If it makes a difference, the calibers I’m leaning towards are .243 and .308.
Question from Jaqin Ta'Sox from Virginia
Question from Jaqin Ta’Sox: Hello my favorite bundle of sticks. Since u all seem to be masters of firearms and all things related, might u answer this? I am having chicago screws. In holsters, when I make improvements or just from extended use, all the dang screws come loose. Do y’all know of a tool or method for reaching and getting the damn screws to the German specs of good n tight?
Question from Karl from Nova Scotia
Hey guys, I was thinking about picking up a 3D printer and was seeking out suggestions. I want a tool more than a hobby so the cheaper ones you need to tinker with are off the table. I heard the Bamboo printers were good “just works” solutions but from my understanding the company has done some shitty things recently and Internet connectivity and forced firmware updates are required to use their printers. Is there a high quality printer that I can keep and use offline that you would recommend?
Keep up the great show, thanks,
Karl

Question from typicalpnwguy from Oregon
Evening gents, Im looking at building a 4.5″ suppressed 10/22 in a chassis for fun. Debating on the polymer sb tactical chassis or the Fletcher hall aluminum chassis. Is there a major pro/con of either (besides price)?Thanks for your deep thought out answer to this manner…

HERA Arms offers the CF MAGAZIN COUPLER 3-FACH / STERN, a base plate that arranges three of its 10-round CF magazines (or compatible Gen-2 H1/H1T magazines) in a radial star pattern around a central hub. | MacBroz Show 105 – XTech Tactical, More Than Magazines | 15 août 2026
On Episode 105, we sit down with Jeremy Deadman of XTECH Tactical to talk about the story behind the company, the firearms industry, product innovation, and what it takes to earn the trust of shooters who are already loyal to the brands they know.
We get into Jeremy’s background before XTECH, how XTECH Tactical got started, and when he realized the idea was turning into a legitimate company.
Then we dive into one of the biggest things XTECH is known for: magazines. Jeremy explains why standards matter in the magazine industry, some of the problems that exist when those standards aren’t consistent, and how XTECH is working to help raise the bar.
We also tackle a bigger question:
Is it harder to design a great product—or convince shooters to move away from brands they’ve trusted for years?
Plus, we learn a little more about Jeremy outside of XTECH and talk about what goes into building a company, developing products, and competing in the firearms industry.
If you enjoy conversations about firearms, gear, entrepreneurship, product development, and the people behind the brands we use, this is one you don't want to miss.

| Hunters HD Gold Behind the Lens 297 – Episode 297 Hunters HD Gold, Behind the Lens LIVE with Mark Redl with Colt Firearms | 12 août 2026 | ||
Brian sits down with Mark Redl for a look at his journey from running a family auto salvage business to becoming one of the longest-tenured figures on the Colt shooting team. Mark got his first handgun in 1981 and discovered competition shooting as a way to keep his defensive skills sharp. Nineteen years ago, a conversation at SHOT Show led to him shooting for Colt, and eleven years ago Paul Patale brought him on full-time as product manager. Over the years he served as law enforcement manager, worked closely with engineers on the return of the snake guns (Cobra, Python, King Cobra, and Anaconda), and became the primary firearms tester at Colt's facility, once putting 1,000 rounds through an Anaconda in a single day. Mark walked through how the new snake guns kept the retro exterior while modernizing the internals with a V-spring action, better metallurgy, and a machine-fitted hand that produces consistent trigger pulls. He also discussed Colt's transition after the CZ UB acquisition, which brought financial stability, new machinery, and modernization while leaving Colt's leadership, heritage, and Hartford location intact. Other topics included his years running the shooting team (from Maggie Reese through Wyatt Gibson and the Williams sisters), Colt's relationships with law enforcement agencies like NYPD ESU and LAPD SWAT, the manufacturing of the M4 (he recently held serial number 1,000,000), Academy graduation 1911s, single action army production tied to SASS, and the challenges of finding shooters willing to run single-stack 1911s. Mark also shared thoughts on the state of competition shooting, the aging demographic in USPSA, and the need for organizations like NSSF to develop a "first competition" program alongside their first shot initiative. He closed by confirming interesting things coming across all three product lines at the next SHOT Show and offered to send the Colt Python giveaway directly to the winner's FFL.

| Hunters HD Gold Behind the Lens 298 – Episode 298 Hunters HD Gold, Behind the Lens LIVE with BoomStickBabe “Alicia Garcia” | 12 août 2026 | ||
Brian sits down with Alicia Garcia for a powerful conversation about her Second Amendment activism in Colorado. Alicia grew up shooting with her father in southern Colorado, and after he passed away in 2015, her uncle stole the family firearms. The sexist treatment she encountered rebuilding her collection sparked the creation of Boomstick Babe LTD and pushed her into teaching and activism. She walked through her seven-plus years of testifying at the Colorado State Capitol, learning the process alone, and eventually breaking through by speaking from the heart. Alicia is now the plaintiff in Garcia v. Polis, suing the state over its three-day waiting period, represented pro bono by Mountain States Legal Foundation. Her original attorney Barry Arrington left to join the DOJ, where he's now suing Colorado over its magazine and assault weapons bans. She's also a founding director of the Colorado Federal Firearms Licensee Association (CFFLA.org), which built its own AI called Umbrella to counter biased gun violence data, and she's launching Colorado Cares for Safety, a nonprofit focused on free safe storage, de-escalation training, mental health resources, medical training, and scholarships to help lower-income Coloradans navigate the state's new permit-to-purchase scheme. She shared the retaliation she's faced, including an FBI watch list holding up her suppressor purchases and employers refusing to hire her, along with the childhood story that shaped her toughness. Alicia teaches 30 to 50 students a week through Concealed Carry Classes of Denver and the United States Firearms Training Academy, and is one of fewer than 100 USCCA Defensive Pistol Program instructors nationwide. Brian closed by pledging to donate all of August's premium subscriber funds to Alicia's nonprofit efforts.

Tonight the guys give their after action report from the 2026 GOALS in Iowa. They talk about what they saw, what they liked, who they met, and their overall impressions of the show. Then they revisit some of the more controversial firearms they got their hands on, which mostly means arguing about the Stenzel SAK-21 and whether seeing it in person changed any minds.
| Long Range Tactics 107 – The $5,000 Rangefinder Test | 11 août 2026 | ||
On This EpisodeA $5,000 weapon-mounted rangefinder sounds ridiculous until a bad range costs you the shot. Matt returns from a National Guard sniper train-up at Camp Robinson and a match in Montana with side-by-side time behind the Maztech X4-LRF 15K and X4-LRF 2K Generation II. The question is not whether the expensive unit is impressive. It is what the extra money buys, who can use it, and where a lower-cost unit still gets the job done.
They break down the practical difference between a 905 nm commercial laser and the 1534 nm system in the 15K, including target size, return speed, fog, smoke, dust, onboard Applied Ballistics, atmospherics, field zeroing, and a wired trigger beside the rifle's trigger. Matt shares what it took to range small steel around 800 to 850 yards and full-size silhouettes past 1,500, plus the simple mistake that can send the laser miles behind the target if the turret is not returned to zero.
The conversation goes beyond one piece of gear. Cole and Matt get into the new MDT DRT chassis, a pre-production Leupold spotting scope, BX-6 Range HD binoculars, why guides should take glass seriously, and the budget workaround of pre-ranging a stand before a coyote or animal appears. The goal is not buying the most expensive setup. It is knowing the capability wall of what you already own and deciding whether the problem is worth paying to remove.
Then the episode turns to wildfire responsibility, public-land cleanup, hunting rifles, recoil, cartridge availability, youth setups, and why a magnum is usually the wrong answer for a 300 to 400 yard deer. They cover 6.5 PRC, .22 Creedmoor, 6.5 Grendel, straight-wall cartridges, an experimental 10mm lever gun, upcoming hunts, Straight Jacket Armory's move, beginner rifle questions, industry misinformation, and the uncertainty around suppressor regulation.
Detailed Episode Breakdown:
Life and the return to the podcast: Cole and Matt catch up after a rough stretch of fires, travel, moves, work, and a long break between episodes.
Camp Robinson and Montana: Matt recaps a week-long National Guard sniper train-up in Arkansas, followed by a sniper-focused match at the Thorson Ranch near White Sulphur Springs, Montana.
Wildfire damage: Cole describes losing a cabin and seeing his ranch burn, then explains how loose soil, ash, monsoon rain, and missing vegetation turn the next storm into years of sludge and flooding.
Shooter responsibility: They separate responsible target shooting from preventable fire risks such as old steel-jacketed surplus ammunition, tracers, exploding targets, tannerite, and shooting trash during dry conditions.
Public-land stewardship: The conversation returns to the basic rule that shooters should know what they are firing, choose safe conditions, clean up the range, and stop giving land managers a reason to close access.
The field setup: Matt ran a 6.5 Creedmoor built around a Lone Peak action in the magnesium MDT DRT chassis, with an Area 419 mount, MDT CKYE-POD, and a weapon-mounted Maztech rangefinder.
Maztech 15K versus 2K: The 15K delivered faster, tighter returns on small and distant targets, while the 2K remained a practical option for larger targets, terrain features, and shooters who do not need the same adverse-condition performance.
Ranging workflow: They discuss zeroing the laser, validating the return, integrating a ballistic profile, keeping the rifle turret at zero while ranging, and getting a range and hold without leaving the firing position.
Who needs the expensive tool: A professional user, timed competitor, predator hunter, or hunter carrying a rare tag may be paying for speed and certainty. A recreational shooter can often pre-range terrain and keep a simple dope reference instead.
Glass is part of the job: They explain why low-light clarity and a dependable range matter to guides and hunters, especially when the best animal appears at first light and there is no time to fight poor optics.
Hunting cartridges and recoil: The episode pushes back on ultra-light magnums for moderate-distance deer hunting. They discuss 6.5 PRC, 6.5 Grendel, .277 Fury, .22 Creedmoor, and choosing a cartridge the shooter can control.
Availability matters: A hunt is a bad place to discover that a specialty cartridge, brass, or ammunition cannot be replaced locally. Build around the mission, but account for what happens when something is forgotten or damaged.
Youth rifle setup: Cole and Matt argue for manageable recoil, correct fit, and enjoyable early experiences instead of handing a young shooter a hard-kicking rifle and hoping they learn through punishment.
10mm lever-gun experiment: Matt shares his testing with a suppressed 10mm Marlin lever gun, the difference between pistol and carbine behavior, pressure signs, and why he will not publish experimental load data.
What is next: Straight Jacket Armory is moving into a larger building with studio space. Future LRT topics include first-rifle decisions, beginner scope questions, youth hunting setups, technology versus primitive-weapon rules, industry changes, and suppressor policy.
Practical Decision Rules
• Do not buy the most expensive rangefinder because the number looks impressive. Buy it when faster, more certain ranging changes the result of your match, hunt, or professional job.• If a high-end system is outside the budget, pre-range terrain, write down the distances, and know the hold before the animal or target appears.• Treat glass and ranging as one system. A clean image does not help if the range is wrong, and a strong laser does not help if you cannot identify the target at first light.• Match the cartridge to the animal, distance, recoil tolerance, and ammunition supply. More energy is not automatically a better choice if the shooter cannot control the rifle.• Set younger shooters up with correct fit and manageable recoil. Confidence and repeatable hits matter more than handing them the biggest cartridge available.• During fire season, verify the ammunition and target, avoid ignition risks, pick the conditions, and clean up the site. Access disappears when shooters act like the mess belongs to somebody else.

The Truth About Guns (Savage)
Jensen v. ATF & Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF – N.D. Texas Strikes Down NFA Registration Requirements for Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, AOWs
Gun-rights groups are celebrating a federal ruling striking down NFA registration requirements for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and AOWs.
U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendrix (Northern District of Texas) ruled in *Jensen v. ATF* and *Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF* that NFA registration, application, approval, and enforcement provisions for suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), and any other weapons (AOWs) exceed Congress’s powers once the associated tax was effectively zeroed out. Multiple gun-rights organizations hailed the decision as a major Second Amendment victory and a step toward dismantling the National Firearms Act. A seven-day stay expires August 12, 2026, with appeals likely to the Fifth Circuit; parallel SAF-backed cases remain pending.
The Gist: Scope (who/what states are affected): Nationwide implications for owners and manufacturers of suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs; ruling applies to enforcement of NFA registration requirements by ATF across the United States, though limited to the specific plaintiffs and likely to face immediate appeal.
Impact: Decision holds that the NFA registration regime lacks constitutional basis without a tax, potentially invalidating core regulatory provisions; groups including FPC, GOA, and CCRKBA describe it as affirming the NFA’s unconstitutionality and a historic win, with possible broader effect if upheld on appeal to the Fifth Circuit. – Bullet 3:
Bottom Line: NFA registration and approval requirements for the listed items are struck down in this district-court ruling as exceeding congressional authority post-tax elimination; a short stay allows time for appeal, leaving the ultimate fate of the NFA provisions pending further litigation.

Reviewing the cast as singers/bands.
Shawn: Taylor Swift. Technically very good at what he does. But we hear so much of him that we all find ourselves wishing he would just go away once in a while.
Nick: Nickelback. Honestly, we all thought he’d be dead by now. Nobody fully understands what keeps him going. But, somehow we all end up nodding along every time he comes on.
Jeremy: Five Finger Death Punch. I really gotta explain this one? It’s in the name.
Savage: *insert random mumble rapper because I dont care enough to look one up* Nobody knows what he’s saying. And wait, that’s supposed to be music?
Aaron: Kurt Cobain. Because, we can only hope.

Review: Richard "Big Dick" Smoker from NJ
Wrote by AI, with specific criteria by me.
We Like Shooting is the podcast equivalent of discovering the group chat should’ve never been given microphones.
Jeremy rocks a mustache that looks like it escaped a 1970s cop show and refuses to return to its natural habitat. Shawn somehow manages to host an entire podcast while carrying the weight of… well, let’s just say gravity is doing him no favors. Nick has turned “I think I just trusted a fart” into a recurring personality trait. And Savage continues broadcasting from a state that seems determined to ban fun one regulation at a time.
Despite all of that—or maybe because of it—the show is hilarious. You’ll get firearms talk, gear reviews, industry news, and enough insults directed at each other to make you wonder why they’re still friends. Nobody is safe, especially the hosts.
If you want a squeaky-clean, HR-approved podcast, this ain’t it. If you enjoy guns, sarcasm, and listening to grown men professionally bully each other for your entertainment, subscribe already.

Dear WLS
Question from Ben B from Kansas
Ben B (TLDR from last week: Bought a Bergara B14-HMR that wouldn’t group and had a crooked-looking scope. After replacing the rail, rings, and checking the scope, a gunsmith finally discovered the rifle’s mounting holes were drilled at a 45° angle from the factory. The manufacturing defect that made proper alignment impossible.)Continuation of the story from where it cut off last week-
We looked in there and about half the threaded hole in the receiver was visible through the rail. Well shit… We tried a different rail and it was the same. I decided to contact Bergara to see if they would fix it. I started a warranty case with them and they sent an RMA form and asked me to ship the rifle to them. I sent it over and assumed that everything would be straightened out. After several weeks with zero updates, I called and asked for some kind of information. I even gave them exact instructions on how to replicate the problem. They said they would update me when they got it into their system and when they got started on the inspections. After they had it for a month they finally shipped it back and their conclusion was that the rifle was in spec. About a million emails later and both sides being stubborn, I gave up. Obviously they weren’t going to fix it and I was at my
wit’s end. I brought it back to the gunsmith and had him drill and re tap the receiver holes to a big enough size to line it up. In spec my ass. Ever since then the Bergara name has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not really on social media and don’t know how to get through how bad of an experience I had with them because I think people need to know.
I am sorry for the long story but I already left a lot of details out. Just remember you asked for this Shawn

Question from Peter J from WA
Peter J from WA, Dear WLS, I’m interested in either buying a factory ported pistol or having one I own custom ported. Is it really worth the hype? Im debating on either getting a CZ ported P10c or getting my CZ P10F ported. Use case would be more for range but would carry the ported p10c since I carry a non ported one currently. I more than with do what Jeremy or Nick tell me what to do. Thanks
Question from eTexNerd from Texas
Dear wls, from eTexNerdFirst a big Ole howdy from the upper east side of Texas to Tom Bowers!
Question: once Bowers group is running production in Texas, won’t I be able to buy his suppressors without federal redtape? I think Texas passed a law to allow intrastate transfer of suppressots made within Texas. I’m a little vague on the legal details but figure Tom being in the industry would know more. Maybe the cartoon savage legal hawk can explain this too. VIVA LA TEJAS!

| Rimfire Radio Show 25 – GOALS: Rice Cracker Range Day | 11 août 2026 | ||
In Episode 25, GOALS: Rice Cracker Range Day, ARDREW, DAN, Gat Lab, and guest Dutch try to piece together their Des Moines trip. They linger on One Horse risking it all with factory forced-reset triggers, then get completely derailed by a West Virginia gunsmith who hands out rice crackers and builds a 6mm ARC that shoots tighter than their attention spans. Gat falls hard for the handmade Sea Spider suppressor so quiet that people kept talking through full magazines, while the rest of the crew bickers about empty tubes, crossbolt safeties, and every new can company claiming to have reinvented physics. A short, careful note about the recent NFA district-court ruling is quickly buried under media-day photos, vendor chats, and the usual awkward creator networking. By the end they’re still baffled that ordinary shooters somehow walked away with media credentials and a PowerPoint full of range pictures.
| Live Fire Media Show 59 – GOALS – Guns – BS | 11 août 2026 | ||
In this episode of the Live Fire Media Show Joe from Shooting Gallery joins us along with Cory returning. We check in to see if Hunter has watched the new Masters of the Universe movie on Amazon Prime, set expectations (it’s more cartoon than live-action), and roast Hunter for watching the wrong He-Man film. Cory loved The Odyssey while I’m still waiting for it to hit streaming — plus a quick take on the solid film Shutter Island.
Gun side: the Mini-14 project is officially underway (chop or don’t chop… the sky is the limit). I’ve 3D-printed a magwell that turns the GHM9 even more into a Pulse Rifle look-alike. We also explain why the UMP’s ergos are just okay at best, why the Stribog is the better gun, and why the Tommy Gun is cool but nowhere near the gold standard of submachine guns.
Like, subscribe, and hit the bell so you never miss the next Live Fire Media Show. Drop your thoughts on the new He-Man movie, the Mini-14 chop debate, or which sub gun you think is actually king in the comments!

| MacBroz Show 104 – We Gave Away A Ton of Stuff! | 08 août 2026 | ||
Episode 104 was a fun one. We were joined by our friend Rob from @madsciencetactical and kicked things off with some New Business, catching up on what everyone has been shooting, testing, building, and messing with lately.
Darius gives his thoughts after getting more time behind his M&P with the Dimebag porting and, maybe even more importantly, his Staccato is finally back. Josh talks about testing Staccato remanufactured ammo, a simple but awesome 3D-printed paster dispenser, and the TandemKross Manticore X lower receiver. Rob jumps in with some of what he has been working with too, including Spec Mud lube and his experiences with new pistols from Tisas and BUL Armory.
Of course, Episode 104 was also the night of our big MacBroz giveaway. Huge thanks to @welikeshooting, @madsciencetactical, @otistechnology, and @osightworld for helping us put together some awesome prizes, and congratulations to @amazingjsports on the win!
We also threw out an idea that could be a lot of fun for 2027: Should @macbroz host a competition shoot after @guncon?
A chance to get creators, brands, friends, and the community together after the convention for some friendly competition sounds pretty damn good to us. Let us know if you’d be interested.

| Student of the Gun 1353 – In-N-Out Lessons & Gun-Fiddling Nearly Costs Life | 07 août 2026 | ||
Wanna hear the FULL Episode? Sign up for the Grad Program today!
Today Professor Paul will be joined by his friends Bill Frady from Lock-N-Load Radio and Louis Caras of LCAR Concepts.
A 21 year old man almost lost his life due to needless gun fiddling performed in his car while his girlfriend videoed him. Fortunately for him, a trained first responder saved his life with a tourniquet. Paul and Bill discuss this at length as there are many lessons to be learned.
Once more, evil has appeared amongst us, not late at night in a bad neighborhood, but in the middle of the day in a shopping center. The rampage killing attack at the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho is yet another example or reason why we train and carry.
Louis joins Paul and they will examine that situation at length and consider the many lessons that we can learn.

| AK-47 Radio Show 045 – Surface-to-Air Missiles and Hollywood | 04 août 2026 | ||
On this episode of AK-47 Radio, the comrades head behind enemy lines to revisit the early-2000s war film Behind Enemy Lines. They break down the rifles, machine guns, and military hardware featured throughout the movie, separate the fact from the Hollywood fiction, and explain why the film probably gave you a wildly unrealistic idea of just how easy it is to shoot a fast-moving aircraft out of the sky. If you've ever wondered how much of the movie holds up—and how much exists purely because explosions look cool—grab your favorite surplus rifle and tune in.

| Rimfire Radio Show 24 – GOALS: Keep It Moist | 04 août 2026 | ||
Episode 24 finds the self-proclaimed "gravy seals" of Rimfire Radio broadcasting live ahead of GOALS to obsess over all the firearms and gear they can’t afford. The hosts painstakingly scroll through the event exhibitor list, taking jabs at everything from saturated AR-15 markets and questionable 10mm carry choices to Turkish imports and "tactical" leaf-blower suppressors. Between side-tangents on Obama, fake IDs, and dodging flock cameras, they take viewer notes on which vendor booths to harass for free samples and live content. Ultimately, the crew marvels that event organizers let them in as media in the first place, promising to make absolute fools of themselves on Range Day.

SB Tactical SBA6 Stabilizing Brace
SB Tactical is adding another entry to its A-Series lineup with the SBA6, a collaboration with New Hampshire-based Die Free Co designed to expand the minimalist platform that made the SBA3 an industry standard.The SBA6 accepts MIL-SPEC carbine receiver extensions and ships now in black, with Flat Dark Earth and Olive Drab Green following later this year.The design direction is deliberate.Where the SBA3 prioritizes compact dimensions and reduced weight, the SBA6 builds out the platform with a full rubber arm cuff and improved ergonomics.
SB Tactical has partnered with Die Free Co, a company founded by veterans known for the Kung Fu Grip, to release the SBA6 stabilizing brace. Saraid Top Notch AR-15 Charging Handle

It weighs 1.1 oz, is made in the USA, and features spring-ball retention, aggressive grip texture, reduced gear interference, and an unobstructed sight picture. The patent-pending design is receiver-friendly and compatible with iron sights and low-mounted optics.

The Agency Brief
Agency Update
1. AGENCY BRIEF: STREET SWEEPER / USAS-12 DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE RECLASSIFICATIONWhat this really was: In 1994, ATF took lawfully owned shotguns and shoved them into the NFA “destructive device” category.
No vote in Congress. No new statute. Just an agency ruling that turned specific 12-gauge shotguns into the same legal category as grenades.
The targets were the Striker-12, the Street Sweeper, and the USAS-12. The Striker and Street Sweeper used revolving cylinders. The USAS-12 was a semi-auto, magazine-fed shotgun. They all fired ordinary 12-gauge shells, the same kind of ammunition people put through hunting pum

Question from Anonymous Coward from OH
So I have a 5″ Springfield Prodigy DS 1911. Sometimes, I conceal carry it with an IWB C&G Holster. The gun seems to ride too low in my waistline. I have tried both their plastic IWB clips and their metal Alpha clips. Are there any belt clips that you guys know of that will allow the gun and holster to ride a little bit higher. Thank you
Question from Anonymous Coward from California
I’m looking to up my 18650 stash and need some input from the almighty guntoob lords. I’ve got a surefire M640 DFT turbo scout and a streamlight protac (with arisaka adapter and surefire pressure switch tail cap – may matter for battery length?) I don’t want to pay bullshit streamlight/surefire battery prices. Do you guys have any favorite cheaper alternatives? I know I need a protected high drain battery, but looking for something I can stock up on and not break the bank. I just got some keeppower 3500 mAh batteries from illumn for my fenix lights for $9/piece but I don’t think they support high draw applications… or would they work? Any steering in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! #yéremyisafuddp.s. I have an XTAR charger so I don’t
need any fancy usb charge top bullshit
p.p.s. Do you guys have any favorite battery storage containers for taking on hunting trips that keep them dry and protected but not take up too much room? I don’t have the ability to 3d print, so looking to buy.
Question from Chad from Michigan
Up North Chad from Michigan
I’m converting an AR in 5.56 to 300 blackout. What is a good barrel and block combo? It will be a suppressor host and basically strictly subsonic. (Because super sonic 300blk is retarded) Something like 8 to 12 inches. Also, suggestions on a big ol’ quiet can under $800? Thanks,
Question from Anonymous Coward from Arizona
I wrote a while ago asking for recommendations on a light 6.5 Creedmoor rifle for hunting. In that question, I mentioned I wasn’t interested in a Bergara after my first experience with them. I’m writing in again to elaborate as requested. It’s kind of a long story so buckle up.I bought a Bergara B14-HMR in 6.5 CM and was pretty excited as it was my first “higher end” bolt action, or so I thought. I took it out shooting a few times and just couldn’t seem to get it to group well and I was running out of adjustment on my scope. I was a bit confused but I figured id just double check all my mounting. So as I was cleaning it after that range trip, I looked at it from the front and thought the scope looked a little crooked. I got about a hundred second opinions and sure enough, something was off. I thought “there’s no way the scope or the gun could be built that wrong”. I warrantied the scope rail and the rings as well as replaced them twice, but neither fixed the problem. So I started talking to the scope manufacturer and sent it in to be checked. They sent it back with a green light and said there was no problems. At this point I was several weeks into tracing
down problems and emailing manufacturers so it pissed me off. I finally decided it must be the gun. I took it to a gunsmith and he started mounting a rail on it and everything finally became clear. Instead of starting all the screws a little then going through and torquing them like I had done, he installed the rear screws fully. One of the front screws was then dropped and immediately tried going in at a 45 degree
