Cooking another whole chicken tonight! -First big snowstorm of the year, the 35 year old Ariens snowblower started up FIRST pull like always!! Sore as hell afterward though. -Got the Home Casino game kit; had a great time playing roulette and blackjack with Sarah & the boys! -Mossberg gets a new contract for US Army M590A1 Shotguns! (This is for Weerd)   Weerd:   Oddball: Guinness Pie   Xander: Winterizing equipment, replaced water heater   Drink Segment: Kirkland Tennessee Whiskey By Tennessee Distilling Company   Main Topic: Glock Gen 6 & Listener Emails!   -Glock Gen 6 Introduced! -Built in beavertail -Different Grip Texture -Slide Serrations deeper -Flared magwell -Redesigned trigger; flat faced with the traditional Glock Safe Action System. -Undercut Triggerguard -Cut for optics   Listener Chuck: Subject: wwi loadout, wwii loadout, whatif alt. history.   World War, round one.  I want to live through this.  If I can't be the guy behind the machine gun, let's see.  Rifle.  BAR's too heavy.  SMLE.  ten rounds trumps five, and can be, with practice, fired fast.  Sights not as good as the Mk IV, but by the time we get to wwii, there are other options.  Hand gun: good old 1911. Subgun -- was the Thompson available yet?  Shotgun:  not expert at all, but a 12 gauge pump with a big bayonet seems like a good thing to have on hand.  Trench Broom.    I think I'd also want a big old Bowie style knife as well.   World War, round two, the rematch.  handgun.  More good options by then, but I think I'll stick with the 1911, this time in A1 configuration.  Rifle, Garand, seeing as I probably couldn't get a Sturmgewehr.    Subgun -- "Grease Gun" .45.  Shotgun -- whatever 12 gauge pump is available, bayonet not needed, as we're not doing trench warfare.  Big Bowie knife again -- too useful, less likely to be used in combat.   Alternate history what if:  What if low residue smokeless powder had been developed and introduced 50 years earlier, in the 1840s instead of the 1890s.  Would we have seen early introduction of auto loading firearms, or would revolvers and manual repeaters continue to dominate into the 20th century?  I suspect "yes, eventually, but not an immediate slamdunk."  It would have made the US Civil War interesting. —--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Listener Russell: Hi gents,  There is one movie where the gun mistakes bother me so badly. It’s the movie Standoff staring Laurence Fishburne and Thomas Jane. There is a scene where they discuss the attributes of each other’s weapon. Fishburne’s character brags about being armed with a 45. The gun is a Beretta 92! Jane’s character is armed with a single shot shotgun in 20ga. Which Fishburne’s character says isn’t very powerful and has no range. Funny… The majority of the movie takes place in a house. Even worse this “20ga” is being loaded with RED shells. This scene ruined the entire movie for me. If they would have left out or changed the dialogue about the guns. Would have been a totally decent enough movie.   Keep the shows coming, Russell   —----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Listener Keith:   Was watching The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Takes place in the Civil War. Lots of metallic cartridge guns. Not even hiding it. Tuco shoots from the bathtub. Not going to do that with black powder. Also, Blondie unloaded Tuco's gun before the showdown. The Army has Gatling guns. I think they were 45/70s.   —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Listener David:   WW1 Loadout: I figure the best way is to split these over multiple emails. So sorry if that makes for a ton of reading! I am assuming logistics for all the crazy calibers are all solved. My main rifle is an M1917 Enfield, officially the "United States Rifle, cal .30, Model of 1917". Guess the guys got paid by the character to name stuff back then. For a carbine-ish choice, I am picking the Short Magazine fed Lee Enfield Mark 3. That just seems like a super handy gun to have inside cramped trenches. My shotgun is an M1897 trench gun with a sword bayonet. If the buckshot doesn't do the trick, I get spear practice (you know, as a little treat.) The machine gun splits into light and heavy. For light, I am picking the Madsen light machine gun and the Gatling gun gets the nod for heavy work. My pistol choice is nothing fancy, the P08 Luger,     WW2 Loadout: Here is my idea for the WW2 load out.Same as before, magic logistics mean plenty of parts and ammo. My WW2 rifle is the M1941 Johnson rifle. Mainly because the Garand is too heavy for anyone to choose on purpose to schlep around. I am swapping a submachine gun for the carbine. That would be the PPSh-41 because I am achieving peace through overwhelming rate of fire. My shotgun is the Browning Auto 5. It's WW2, why are we racking slides like unwashed peasants? Machine gun again gets split into light and heavy. Light this time is the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, Heavy duty goes to the venerable M2 Browning because to Hell with you and whatever you are hiding behind! My sidearm choice is the Roth-Steyr M1907. It has more rounds than the 1911 and P38, it gets bonus points for looking weird also!   (We have the rest of your emails David, but we want to save them for a future show when we have more entries!)   —----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Xander– WWII loadout:  USS Nimitz (in honor of December 7) Or: Liberator pistol, Mauser C96 pistol, Mauser Karabiner rifle   Wrap Up: Don’t forget to shop Brownells using our affiliate link! MacBroz Show 67 – Six Seevveennn, Snacks, Staccatos & Selective Endorsements17 Nov 2025
Episode 67 is here — and yes, we absolutely leaned into the “6-7” meme that’s been making the rounds. The guys kick things off with Darius’ fun fact of the week: kydex, the same material used in your holsters, was originally developed for NASA. From space to appendix carry… wild. We roll right into our NDZ Performance sponsor read, then Josh breaks down his latest pickup from Art-illery — the Fusion XF Pro — and why it’s already turning into one of the most surprising values on the market. That leads to a real conversation about credibility, trust, and endorsements in the firearms content space. The MacBroz don’t put their name on just anything, and we explain why that matters. Darius also gives an update on his growing love affair with the Staccato C, plus what custom work he has lined up next with Art-illery. And then because it wouldn’t be a MacBroz episode without some chaos we debate the ultimate question:If you had to dual-wield snacks to fight off hunger, what’s your loadout? Laughs, insights, gear talk, and good vibes everything Episode 67 should be.

ZERT Coffee & Chaos 140 – After the Flash: Surviving the Unthinkable13 Nov 2025
When the unthinkable happens — when a nuclear detonation shatters the world as we know it — what comes next? After the Flash takes you deep into the aftermath, exploring the chaos, the survivors, and the systems struggling to rebuild amidst fallout and fear. Each episode dives into the stark realities of a post-nuclear world: radiation zones, fractured governments, underground refuges, and the fragile threads holding civilization together. But there’s another threat unfolding at the same time — a rapidly mutating global pandemic fueled by artificial intelligence. As medical systems collapse, rogue AI strains evolve beyond control, rewriting the rules of biology and survival itself. From emergency broadcast archives and survivor interviews to black site transmissions and classified AI experiments, After the Flash blends documentary realism with speculative storytelling to paint a chilling picture of humanity’s fight to endure in an age where our greatest creation has become our deadliest contagion.

MacBroz Show 71 – Throat Goat Certified: Bad Gifts, Testing Ammo & Good Vibes20 Dec 2025
In Episode 71 of the MacBroz Podcast, we tackle one of the biggest gaps we see in the firearms world—people buying guns but never training from concealment. If you carry it that way, you should probably train that way… right? We also get into holiday gift ideas for 2A enthusiasts, breaking down what actually makes a good gift versus the absolute worst gifts that end up stuffed in a drawer forever. From there, we dive into testing ammo in our pistols and why it matters more than most people realize. Reliability, recoil impulse, consistency—if you care about efficient and effective pistol shooting, you need to test what you carry. Somehow, this all spirals into jokes about Josh’s new “throat goat” shirt, listener questions, and plenty of classic MacBroz chaos along the way. As always, it’s honest conversation, practical info, and a lot of laughs—because learning doesn’t have to be boring. Double Tap 435 – Donor Parents11 Nov 202501:13:45
Double Tap Episode 435 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Night Fision, Blue Alpha, Die Free Co., Second Call Defense, Mitchell Defense, and Swampfox Optics   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 435! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Agency 171 Jeremy - Future operatives, tonight, We speak to you from the hidden vaults of a legacy long whispered but never fully revealed. For years, our loyal listeners have stood with us in what we called "the cult," a bond forged in fire and fun. But the time has come to shed that skin and ascend to something deeper, something etched in the crimson ink of history. Nick - Welcome to Agency 171, a clandestine brotherhood born in the aftermath of our nation's founding, dedicated to the unyielding defense of liberty against those who seek to divide and disarm. No more mere cultists; you are now Operatives, rising through the ranks from Recruit to Director in the Covert Conclave. Your pledge isn't just support—it's an oath, unlocking exclusive intel, relics like the Loyalty Coin, and the power to strike back at tyranny. Savage - The old cult is nullified. Agency 171 is the future, step into the shadows. The Mandate watches, but we endure. Isn't it interesting how much the number 171 comes up in daily life? You'll see it everywhere—a sign, a call, your destiny. Lock and load, Operatives. The Agency awaits. Shawn - This is our new listener support program. Everyone who is a cult member will be migrated automatically tomorrow morning. You don’t need to do anything except check your email (check spam). You’ll get an email with details and you can take a look at the rewards and upgrade if you’d like. Way more rewards, way more fun and has so much more coming. There is even a game with all the cast and YOU as the main character. There will be missions (describe missions) with prizes as well. I have big plans for this and can’t wait for what’s to come.  After this week, after giving everyone a chance to upgrade, I’m giving away a gun to a random operative. I have many to get rid of and the Agency is where it’ll be happening.   Agency 171 is a fictional secret society created as a fun rebrand for the "We Like Shooting" podcast's listener support model. In the lore, it's a clandestine organization founded in the early 1800s (post-1789) to defend absolute 2A rights against the Mandate for Divisive Action (MDA), a made-up deep-state cabal that promotes gun control. Listeners "join" as Operatives through monthly pledges (from Recruit at $5 to Director at $60+), unlocking exclusive perks like bonus content, merch (e.g., stickers, coins), and community access in the Vault. It's all for entertainment—support the show, get in on the mystery, and fight "tyranny" with humor and gear.   Dear WLS Spenser F - Looking to get a century arms mp5sd. Wondering what can you guys would recommend that would fit under the 1.5" handguard and still be super quiet? I was going to go with the bowers vers 9 but it's diameter is 1.7. Thanks     Lenny W - You guys ever think about doing a section about what's new in 3D prints in the gun world every week?     Alex W - Hey y'all. I've heard a lot of stories about fish and game cops trying to jail people over defensive wildlife shootings. I was wondering if that was something 2nd call defense would help with or if they only deal with cases involving human assailants?     NightWasher513 Tx - Let me first say that finding this page without manually typing in the words “dashboard “. And if you look at the transcript to get the right link on Double Tap 425 it says the link is wedelikeshooting.comdashboard. Yeah that doesn’t exactly work. But anyway, my two part question is. If you 3rd print a MAC 11 and design your own pistol brace, could the ATF say that’s a stock not a brace? And could you even SBR your own custom built rifle? Last question, why does no one in the 2A printing community use PC/ASA filament and electroplate it with Nickel? The part is going to be way stronger then PLA and should take the abuse like of aluminum. This is not a new technology, lots of industries do this for stronger parts they don’t want to CNC. So the real question is, is there a reason why they don’t or it is not something they want to mess around with. Love this show and can’t wait to hear all your thoughtful answers sometime in the future. PS. I have a redesign of the DB9 Alloy that uses the Glock gen 5 mag release if anyone wants it.   Kirk P - The other week talking about ammo and storage, Jerambay said he has his stash, and doesn't touch it, how do you store it? I'm not worried about the location of his stash because I like my life and don't wanna die trying to find it only to have someone come up behind me while my eyes are closing one last time and hearing just as good being whispered in my ear. Also if I had a 3d printer I would print a pile of shit just big enough to put a knife in so Shawn can keep it on his desk as a mini sword in the stone, but in this case the knife in the shit. Keep up the awesome work. #ssb #wlsislife no notes     Theobviousjames - Hello gentlemen, I got into guns about 3 years ago and have since built two AR-15s. A 16inch SPR build, and a 10.5inch Mk18-inspired build (quad rails for life). My question is, what should I build next? Looking at another AR-15 platform build, but something other than 5.56. Shorty 300blk to suppress later?Something straight wall (what's the best straight wall cartridge)? 6mm ARC? I'm not rich, but not a poor. I appreciate the info. No Notes.     Jeff from PA - Hey fellow patriots! I currently have a Glock G 19 for daily "fanny pack" carry and am looking for something smaller and lighter for the summer. My question is this- through all this Sig drama is the P365 still a trusted tool or should I be looking elsewhere? I used to have an original 365 but found it hard to get a good grip. I am considering the P365X for a few more rounds still but still concealable if I go IWB. What do you guys think?   The winner of this week's swag pack is Kirk P! To win your own, go to welikeshooting.com/dashboard and submit a question!   Gun Industry News Ruger Unveils New American Gen II Patrol Rifles Ruger has released new American Gen II Patrol rifles, which are designed for precision and tactical use. Let’s Go Hunt 149 – Satan’s Pickle: Deer Shoulder Butt11 Nov 2025
Intro -Vince Welcome back to another episode of Let’s Go Hunt, the hunting podcast least likely to steal your lunch money.  Tonight we have: Mike Goncalves, who lost a good looks contest to a badger. Sam Alexander - karaoking a brunette sonnette with your sister Dave Packard, who may or may not be deceased, but is still definitely on location.  Somewhere else. And, The ever uninspired, Vince H   Around the Campfire Tonight: Head and Broads, in an order that might surprise you I want to talk about broadheads, again.  This time crossbow broadheads, but also broadheads in general. It’s a long word to type, “broadheads”. Lot’s of letters in there. Let’s call them bh for now.  Crossbow BHs are ostensibly rated for higher speeds and force to deal with the speeeeeeeed the speeeeeeeeed. Lot’s of nonsense on the internet about needing solid steel ferrules and not aluminum ones but that shit is in the bolt/arrow, not the broadhead.  I suppose there’s only one way to test this, which is to shoot some into a target and see what happens.  Short story is I got an open box deal on bolts, and I want to marry those bolts to cheaper broadheads and continue the beaver harpooning. Could just toughen up and zero the .308 but the nice part about the crossbow is I can zero it right there next to the truck and get going without the additional time to get to the rifle range. Double Tap 435 – Donor Parent11 Nov 2025
The less known Irish twin of the 29. $775 For carry, I would pick up another Hellcat Pro in 9mm. $550 For backup carry, I am adding an LCP Max in .380 $300 Next up is a Tisas 1911. These are on Gunbuyer.com for $320 To scratch my big bore itch, I picked a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley in 44 Magnum with a 7.5 inch barrel. $800 on gunbroker. I suppose for "big-ish" bore? A Hi-point JXP in 10mm. Just bought one for $129 from RK guns on sale but I see $150 would buy one quite easily. Next, but not growing a man-bun for it, a CZ75B in 9mm. $550 My last choice is a bit of a cheat, I would buy a build kit from Maf-arms.com (shout out to Matt) for a G19 clone for $221.33 and since the frame would cost roughly $3 to print, that leaves me just over $300 for a 3D printer. Also the BB19 from Broken Bullets is the best grip for the 3D printed Glock, change my mind! To be honest, I am pretty happy with what I have now, so many of these would be re-buying old friends. There are a couple of things I would probably do differently, but it's minimal. Thank you all for the show. ========================================================================   Listener Russell:   Hi, I’ve been listening for about a year. I found the idea of rebuilding my collection super intriguing. I’ve bought and sold/traded so many. I think now I know exactly what I’d need bare minimum in a collection.       So first, I’m replacing my edc. A Shield Plus in 9mm for $420. No doubt absolutely the best all around carry gun I’ve ever had. Then I’m replacing my Bodyguard 2.0 $400. The most fun gun I’ve ever bought. It’s crazy how usable it is for the size.      Now the rest I don’t currently own but these are what I’d get if I had to start over. For home defense id get: A Smith&Wesson M&P 2.0 with the 4.6” barrel in 10mm $625. Then I’d get the Smith FPC in 10mm $620. And for hunting (medium game deer & hogs) I’d get the Cimarron Bad Boy in 10mm $770. For small game and just plinking I’d get the S&W Victory 22lr with the threaded barrel $445.       That totals to $3280 pre-tax. I rounded up on all prices from my local shop. The remaining funds would be spent on holsters, optics, mags and ammo.        Love the show, keep them coming.   ========================================================================   -RECENT BLOGGERSHOOT!!! -Glock Rebranding/Whatever: The Glock V -Beretta 92SB Repro Review TFB -Vietnam Bizon 9MM -Rideout Arsenal FAKE website   Wrap Up: Don’t forget to shop Brownells using our affiliate link! Let’s Go Hunt 148 – Archimikies: Forky Has A Question04 Nov 2025
Intro -Mike Welcome back to another episode of Let’s Go Hunt, the hunting podcast brought to you by puns and dead animals, in that order.  Tonight we have: Sam Alexander - karaoking a brunette sonnette with your sister Vince H, poncho powered Dave Packard, who may or may not be deceased, but is definitely on location.  Somewhere else.   And forking stoked, I’m, Mike Gonçalves,    Around the Campfire Tonight: It’s getting cooler, but I think it’s false fall and I hate it Warheads on Foreheads with Mike https://www.ksl.com/article/51394785/idaho-hunter-shoots-grizzly-bear-in-self-defense-near-island-park-idaho Dave’s thing In the early 1800s, grizzly bears were one of the biggest threats to cattle. While the Anglo-American style was to use heavy artillery to control threatening bears, the vaqueros preferred to rope them from the back of a well-trained horse. This method of bear control required a great deal of skill and was a dying vaquero art.  What can we learn from this?   Eventual Ad Slot   Personal Gear Chat and Updates: Mike The deer hunt! Spent a couple nights with Dave and his stepdad.  Had a really good time with them. Camping on the cot was cold, but under the cot.  Need more insulation there.  Little Buddy heater worked terrible.  Kept shutting off after five mins. Got it to work for 30 mins once.  Then got up and just got to it Howd the hunt actually go Got to a spot they told me about about 90 mins before sunrise.  Got some great pics but didnt see any animals.  Went for a walk, saw nothing, went back to truck. Proceeded to 4x4 all over the gd mountain.  It was an absolute blast.  Ope, a wheel slipped.  Okay…brake, 4LockLo and crawl right over anything.  Kinda cool Found one herd and saw a fork horn.  Texted squeezer and he lightly convinced me to chase.  Chased, found tracks, bedding and water but they were poof. Headed back to camp for a bit to rest, and then went back out to a different spot.  Cruised around that loop for an  hour or so, making hikes up the mtn every now and then.  Absolutely gorgeous 4x4 trail. Finally found a herd of nine does and spotted a fork horn.  Drove right on by and pretended I didn’t see them Parked and snuck up staying low and behind hills and rocks.  Got close and was able to ID the fork, but didn’t have a shot.  He moved, so I just stayed still and patient.  Most of them didn’t care and went about their day but one had her eyes and ears on the rock I was behind the whole time.  She knew I was there. Finally ID’d the fork and got ready.  Steadied up and squeezed.  I saw him jump, and bolt, but I knew it was good.  Climbed up to where he had disappeared and found him exactly where I expected to.   Cooler, crime scene and knives. Suppressed hunting is the way to go. Dave NASTY coyote Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands fuckery? Double Tap 434 – Ovbiously04 Nov 2025
Double Tap Episode 434 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Swampfox Optics, Night Fision, Blue Alpha, Medical Gear Outfitters, Rost Martin, and Bowers Group   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 434! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Krampus- http://welikeshooting.com/krampus   - Dear WLS David K - Shot tons of guns and suppressors on multiple platforms, but a buddy recently picked up an FN 509 and said it was a good host. So, what makes a gun a "good suppressor host"? whoever readsthisisgay - Why won't Xtech ship their freedom extensions to mag-restricted states? I travel outside my home state regularly to shoot and want to be able to swap out my spring/baseplate when I go to free states. Also, it's a spring and baseplate, not a magazine; there are no laws restricting them, and if someone wants to disobey unjust laws in an act of civil disobedience, that's on them. Nick's OtherLover - "Im looking at suppressors. Im not a db hoe, I just want it to tame the noise a bit. My biggest concerns are flash mitigation and small size. Before you say shit about earpro, I keep my Sordins on so I can talk shit to my friends over radio. Some notes." Spenser F - Now that new frontier armory is out of business. Is there another company that makes mp5 mag lowers for the ar9? Sour Nut - If a wood chuck could chuck wood, would they pick a red dot to put on a revolver? If so, what red dot would it be? I bought a S&W TRR8 need to put a dot on it for maximum fuckaround points, also actually deer hunting with it. No Notes Carpet Beaver - I would like to practice some dry firing. I'm looking at the dry fire mag and Mantis system. Have you tried these two together. P365XL. I know you guys have ran the Mantis system before and wondered if it works in conduction with the dry fire mag. Preferably a trigger resetting system that works with a laser target system. Any info would help. Thanks Zack K - "What is your most hated gun and why? I’ll start the walther PK380. It has a shit take down where you need a “key”, low capacity for the size, safety only with no decocker, and very limited aftermarket." Lieutenant Ovbious - Let’s be real, the best part about the tax stamp going to zero is that the used market on suppressors is going to go crazy. Gimme dem $80 used 22LR cans that just need a good cleaning. This is not a question.   The winner of this week's swag pack is Sour Nut!
