Meet Michael Schneider, the compassionate founder of 'Pilots To The Rescue '. Since 2014, Michael has been on a mission to save homeless pets, just like these two adorable pups from the Friends of Grenada Animal Shelter in Mississippi. In this collaborative mission with the Bissell Pet Foundation, Michael picked up 10 dogs in Fletcher, North Carolina, and flew them back to our home base of Essex County Airport in northern New Jersey, where the dogs were received by the Broome County Humane Society in Binghamton, New York.

Every year, approximately 920,000 homeless pets (390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats) are euthanized in the United States, primarily because of a lack of space. Pilots To The Rescue coordinates with rescue facilities all over the U.S. to find space for dogs and cats abandoned or returned to animal shelters by their previous owners.
