The Fertility Foundations podcast: getting to the root cause of infertility.  Sandra Greenbank is a BANT registered nutritionist, functional medicine practitioner, and coach specialising in fertility and pregnancy. Infertility is on the rise and IVF industry is booming, however there is very little help out there for couples who are facing fertility issues. This is why Sandra created the Fertility Foundations podcast; the podcast for those who are experiencing problems with fertility, and want to understand more about how they can take charge of their own path to parenthood. This podcast is here to inform, empower and inspire you with the tools and actions you can use to put down the necessary foundations, in order to help improve your chances of having a healthy baby, whether you are trying naturally or preparing for IVF.

This week Sandra Greenbank is talking to Sarah Nash, a registered Nutritional Therapist who specialises in PCOS, about IVF as a first-line treatment to try and conceive with PCOS.

Sarah is passionate about supporting and educating women with PCOS and their partners on their journey to parenthood. In this episode Sandra and Sarah discuss the difficulties of diagnosing and treating PCOS and the need for a holistic approach to addressing the root cause and key drivers in each individual case. Sarah's own PCOS diagnosis in her twenties led her to specialising in this area and, now a mum to two children, she uses her knowledge and experience to support her nutritional therapy practice.

Dr Sampson is well known for her work in developing saliva diagnostics, microbiome testing, and incorporating artificial intelligence into everyday oral care. Her work has been acknowledged worldwide, resulting in her becoming a scientific adviser, board member and clinical lead of multiple dental companies globally. She has published numerous papers internationally, with her most recent publication in the British Dental Journal being the most cited and viewed article ever published. Most recently, she was shortlisted as one of the most promising young scientists in Europe for the Forbes 30 under 30 in Science and Healthcare 2022, the first dentist to be shortlisted. She’s one of the cofounders of the Health Society in Mayfair, London, the first multidisciplinary health centre where she practices functional and precision dentistry, aimed at connecting the oral microbiome with general health. And she is a topical team member of the European Space Agency and NASA, creating guidelines for astronauts before long haul flights.
