Facing FASD is the podcast for parents, carers, and professionals supporting children and adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Hosted by Anna Webster, coaching psychologist, trainer, psychotherapist in training, and founder of Neurowise - a therapeutic coaching and training company for the FASD community, Anna is also a parent of a child with FASD.
For too long, FASD has been overlooked, misunderstood, and often mistaken for - or hidden behind - trauma and attachment difficulties. This podcast exists to change that. Anna talks openly and honestly about the realities of raising and supporting someone with FASD: the brain-based differences that shape behaviour, the exhaustion and dysregulation caregivers live with every day, and the shame and stigma that keep so many families from getting the understanding and support they need.
If you're parenting, caring for, or working with someone with FASD β and you've ever felt like you're doing something wrong, or like you're the only one struggling β this podcast is here to tell you: it's not you, and you're not alone.
New episodes explore therapeutic caregiving, brain-based difference, caregiver wellbeing, and building a community that truly understands.
