Men's Month hits national treasure status this week, as the team were thrilled when actor, comedian, presenter and expert in accents, Les Dennis agreed to come round to Hannah's flat to drink some Malbec and solve a crime, and it turns out, he’s a natural! Les sifted through his top ten of criminal experiences to share with us the time his skills as a performer saved him from a violent encounter, and even managed to ultimately enlist the help of his would-be attackers in finding some lost property. We then hear about a crime, which if it hadn't happened, would make the perfect case for Inspector Clouseau, and a natural accompaniment for Les' Malbec … although we definitely recommend giving the holy grail a rinse out before you pour any wine in. Finally, the team solves a listener crime in which we discover that most cats are either psychic, have IBS, or both!

We're smack bang in the middle of Men's Month 2023 and this edition is a walk down memory lane, when our Drunk Women took the show to a sell-out crowd at the Edinburgh Fringe, only for poor Hannah to be struck down by the dreaded Covid and so, was forced to head home.But, in her place we recruited the finest sub detective in all the land in the form of actor, comedian and super sleuth, Ruth Bratt! By this time, Ruth was very at home in her role on the force and it didn't take this week's guest too long to get to grips with the ways of Taylor and Catie either, as comedian Christopher Hall lit up the stage and got stuck right in with the drinking and solving. Chris started off the show by recounting a time of teenaged rebellion which ultimately cost him a career as a clarinettist and proves he probably couldn't make it as a wrestler. The team then solve a crime which proves that murder is more of a crowd pleaser than the royal family, and a ‘mum look’ can scare the bejesus out of the most hardened criminal. We then hear from a member of the audience with a cautionary tale should you be confronted with someone trained in the way of the samurai.

Men's Month continues a pace and today is a throwback to the heady days of Edinburgh Fringe 2023, when comedian, broadcaster and former barrister, Clive Anderson threw caution to the wind and joined Taylor, Catie and Hannah on stage, impressing the sell out crowd with his phone's umbilical cord as well as the ability to solve crimes.Clive started off the night with a tale from his 'wild' student days - thank goodness he didn't go down the wrong path all those years ago!The whole team then solve a mystery which had police scratching their heads at the time, but then again, they didn't have Clive Anderson on the force.Finally, a member of the audience leapt up on stage to share a story where the crime could be the theft of a night out!

The team at Drunk Women Solving Crime LOVE a mash-up, and this week's episode is a mash made in heaven, as we join forces with Chris, Helen, and James from the wonderful Empire Film Podcast to bring you, DRUNK WOMEN EMPIRE!Luckily the London Podcast Festival was able to provide a stage big enough for six members of the force to solve a film-based crime, and it was a natural meeting of minds, as not only can the Drunk Women and Empire teams combine incredible sleuthing skills with encyclopaedic film knowledge, but each podcast boasts an inhouse impressionist. Regular listeners to DWSC will be familiar with the format, although there are a couple of twists - for which we won't give any spoilers - but as always, we hear from the audience who have their own crimes that need solving, one of which could see us all in court as accessories - how exciting! We hope you enjoy this merger as much as we enjoyed merging, if you do, why not give it a review? Oh, what a night.... well, it was the final show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe, and thank goodness the brilliant comic, Thenjiwe was there to share it with us!As this was the last night without our very own Hannah George, it was also the last occasion our newest, brightest member of the force, Ruth Bratt acted as stand in.The team would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Ruth for stepping in at incredibly short notice, and for being such amazing member of the gang. The only way we can better this is to get Ruth back on one of the live shows with Taylor, Catie AND Hannah all in attendance. Thank you so much Ruth, you are officially the chief of police and a drunk woman who can indeed solve crimes.We were also blessed that guest, Thenjiwe, was not only being an incredible detective, but also proved she had the Monopoly when it comes to crime solving skills, which helped an enormous amount with getting to the bottom of a story which was more than a trunk than a case.We finally heard from a member of the audience, whose criminal story was a bunch of pants - and we mean that in the nicest possible way.

The Drunk Women are back in Edinburgh and already storming their Fringe run with sell out shows and incredible guests, and what a way to kick things off, as the team welcomes back the wonderful comedian Catherine Bohart!Regular listeners may remember hearing Catherine's first DWSC appearance, which was recorded online, in the dark days of lockdown, so what a joy to be able to see her in the flesh and in front of such a lovely audience.Catherine (luckily) has had more than one experience with crime, and so shares a story in which the perpetrators involved are far from conservative in their criminality. The gang then get their heads around a tale, in which we learn an awful lot about what one can do with the 'blunt' end of an axe, and that picking strawberries can prove to be a deadly pursuit.To round things off, we hear from a member of the audience, who was shook by the misdemeanours of mysterious neighbours ... although Catherine still isn't convinced of the criminal credentials of the story.

The gals are back in the studio for this rip roaring edition of Drunk Women Solving Crime, most of the rip, and a good deal of the roar, being supplied by this week's sublime guest, comedian Chloe Petts! Although this was recorded on the sweatiest day on record (probably) in London Town, that didn't stop Chloe from stawpedoing a Smirnoff Ice right before we pressed record ... no mean feat considering we didn't really have a straw.Chloe was then revved-up enough to share with us a biting tale of childhood forensics and a teacher who surely missed their vocation in law enforcement?We then get involved with a story which stinks in more ways than one, before solving a crime which left a listener feeling more than a little short changed.
