This week we start breaking down the random wrestler tournament. Big names are all around in unique matchups. This week we have the breakdown of the East and West regions. Let's see who moves on in this contest.

It's tournament time her in the Basement, and we decided to throw a wrench into the action. This year's tournament will be randomly selected wrestlers with no parameters. That means guys from several generations and styles will face off against each other. You might have a tag team specialist from the 80's take on a current roster superstar or an up and coming independent talent take on a world champ from the Golden age of TV. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy this selection episode and come back in the next few episodes to see how the tournament unfolds.

January 2026 saw the dissolution of one of the longest running and influential factions in Pro Wrestling History, Bullet Club. The ever evolving group had a roller coast and legendary runs through not only their home promotion of New Japan Pro Wrestling but various others like Impact Wrestling, AEW, Ring of Honor, CMLL, Global Force Wrestling and even WWE (kind of). They helped launch careers and sold lots of merchandise in their run dating back to May 2013. This week the Dropkick Basement is sending them off in style by tier ranking the members, well most of the members and sharing our thoughts on the rise and fall of Bullet Club.

This week we focus on the best of the best from Japan. Listen as we pull together the dream team for wrestlers who made their reputation in their home country of Japan. There are lots of legends and some surprises in store so listen in to this one.

The NWA/WCW had a running tradition of their biggest card of the year in the end of the year. That show was Starrcade, originally run on Thanksgiving night, it was later moved to December and stayed in December through to WCW's sale to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2001. On this episode, we each take a Starrcade card from the rich history of the show and rebook it to see how we can improve the final card. Tom handles 1986 and Mike works with 1995. Enjoy the trip back in time with us.
