Welcome to DriveSafe. DriveSmart presented by Buckley's Auto Care. Today's topic is Parking Brake or Emergency Brake: What is it?

Technically it's a Parking Brake. The mechanism is used to stabilize the weight of the vehicle placing it on the rear wheels and not the transmission. There are only a few truly flat areas on earth and if you're not parking in those locations, you should be using a parking brake.

Fall Maintenance Service - Tires, Lights, Wiper Blades and Leaves?06 oct. 202400:23:26

Welcome to DriveSafe. DriveSmart. Presented by Buckley's Auto Care with locations in Wilmington and Millsboro.

Fall Maintenance - Getting ready for fall driving season really doesn't take much. October is typically Car Care Month (along with April) because the goal is to prepare your vehicle for harsher winter weather that's coming our way.

Wiper blades are key to seeing clearly in all types of weather. Keeping them clean is as simple as grabbing a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Take a dab of alcohol with the cotton ball and run it down the blade. This will take away the debris and residue from the blade to allow a smoother, clearer wipe. They should be replaced every 9 months to a year.

Tires and leaves. It's can be a slippery mess for sure if you're not careful.

Thanks for listening.
