A Look Back

As we anticipate the new season of "Star Trek: Prodigy," it’s a great time to reflect on its remarkable first season. The series introduced us to a diverse group of young aliens who discover the USS Protostar in the Delta Quadrant. Guided by a holographic Captain Janeway, they navigate space, learning about teamwork, responsibility, and Starfleet values. The show blends the adventurous spirit of Star Trek with compelling character development and stunning animation.

For those new to "Star Trek: Prodigy," the first season is an engaging entry point into the Star Trek universe. The young crew's journey of learning Starfleet principles offers a mix of humor, drama, and classic Star Trek wonder. As we look forward to the new season, join Aaron Harvey, Brandi Jackola, Rachael Bloom and Steven Fatheree as they catch up and look back--and forward!

Review of Lower Decks "Old Friends, New Planets"

Excitingly and sadly we have reached the end of another season of Star Trek: Lower Decks. The show has really come into its own this season and this week friend of the show Brandi Jackola joins Aaron & Fatheree to do a deep dive.

And If you're like us you may occasionally forget a certain member of Nova Squad so we're naming this episode in honor of her teeny cameo!

Jessie is back and just like Shaxs with no explanation! Ok, actually she was just sick. But in this episode Aaron and Jessie take a hard look at how they feel about Shaxs coming back from the great beyond after some real heartfelt emotion in the season one finale.

They also wonder about how Orions are treated in society, if Tom Paris gets tired of being told "Don't get us lost in the Delta quadrant!" and yeah, what WAS up with T'Pol's haircut?!

We're new to the Trek Geeks network so if you like what you hear, please leave us a review and a rating on iTunes. Not only does it tell us how we're doing it helps other people find the show.

This week it was like Geek Christmas morning as we all stumbled out out bed bleary eyed and sat down to the computer to open up our Star Trek gifts in the form of two Comic-Con panels hosted by Commander Ransom himself, Jerry O’Connell.

First off we learned more about the world of Star Trek: Prodigy! We heard about the characters, the voice talents and got a teaser trailer showcasing the world and the latest Trek hero ship, the USS Protostar

And of course the 'scrappy underdogs' can’t be left out! We got an easter-egg/callback laden two minute trailer for Star Trek: Lower Decks as well as predictably off the rails banter from the cast and crew.

So Join Aaron Harvey and Jessie Gender for analysis, commentary and lots of squeeing! And remember when in doubt, blame the Temporal Wars!
