The longer we are in this whole COVID situation, the more I realize that probably one of our biggest challenges is the abundance of misinformation and the lack of trust in governments, organizations and in healthcare professionals in general…

In this conversation, Dr Nick and I talk about several things but, when it comes to a doctor patient relationship, we both agree that (1) you might not see eye to eye with your doctor, or maybe you don't feel that trust to open up… And, truth is… that's ok. It doesn't make you or your doctor a bad person. You simply don't gel. Which brings me to (2) in those cases, it's ok to switch doctors. In fact, it's better for you to switch doctors and find one that you trust, one that you feel understands you and whose guidance you will actually follow.

  1. Set your goals and make sure they're specific. The most common mistake people make when setting health goals is that they lack specificity.
  2. When you have breakfast in the morning, make sure to prepare a healthy snack which you will eat at some point between lunch and dinner.
  3. Create a baseline for your progress. Eat 5-7 days of very standard meals, where you can get their entire nutritional profile (calories, macros, etc) and see how your body feels and responds. If you get positive results, don't change anything until you plateau.
