100 Women Who Care - Spread the Love
Episode 34
mardi 5 août 2025 • Duration 47:09
100 Women Who Care - Spread the Love" is a group of caring and determined women fueled with a common goal of outreach where there is need.
Are you a woman who leads a busy life and wants to contribute to our local community? The concept is simple. Local women gather quarterly to hear from 3 member-nominated charities and vote on their favorite. Attend live, virtually, or not at all (vote on your own time)! Each member contributes $100 to the winning non-profit, and that combined donation makes a significant impact without time-consuming fundraising events or overhead expenses.
Today I speak with Jean Manly from 100 Women Who Care - Spread the Love. This is a great organization making a positive impact on local non-profits. It's easy to get involved and doesn't take a lot of time. I hope you enjoy learning more about this organization.

Jason R. Flood Memorial
Episode 33
mardi 22 juillet 2025 • Duration 35:08
The Jason R Flood Memorial Fund provides resources, education, and outlets for teens, young adults, and parents. A safe space and open forum to learn more about various mental health issues and suicide prevention.
They organize and fund local music and athletic events to benefit local non-profit organizations with similar goals. Partner with mental health providers and organizations to help them build leadership and confidence in their young audience, allowing them to speak up and erase the stigma of mental health issues.
The Jason R Flood Memorial Fund was created after the suicide of Jason Flood, a Pinkerton graduate. He was a high-functioning, bright student, athlete, and musician with undiagnosed depression. The Flood family wants to raise awareness and the ability to speak up and reach out when warning signs are recognized.
988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
Today, I speak with Doug Flood, Jason's father, and Rebecca Solomons, a high school student who is currently involved with Pizzastock, among other events put on by the Jason R. Flood Memorial. I appreciate them being on the show and talking to me about how music is benefiting local youth.

Megan Plaza - The Suitcase Project
Episode 19
mardi 7 janvier 2025 • Duration 15:03
In addition to highlighting non-profits, I want to highlight individuals who are doing good things in their community and helping to make the world a better place. It was recommended by multiple people that I have Megan Plaza on the podcast. Megan is a remarkable 15-year-old who is doing so many positive things and also started her own non-profit.
The Suitcase Project is dedicated to restoring foster children’s dignity and self-worth by providing them with proper luggage. We collect donations of new and gently used suitcases and duffel bags during outreach events and collaborate with several non-profit groups to ensure these donations reach the children who need them most. Each suitcase is a symbol of stability and hope.
I hope you enjoy learning more about Megan. Be sure to send me other individuals to feature on the podcast.

Spread Kindness
mardi 24 décembre 2024 • Duration 40:35
Merry Christmas if you are listening to this in real-time. I want to share a special episode with you, seeing that it's Christmas Eve when this releases. As you know, if you've listened to the podcast, on every show, I ask my guests what the kindest thing they've witnessed or been a part of is. This is one of my favorite moments in each episode because it always warms my heart and is a good reminder of the kindness that is always going on in the world. I thought I would put together all the episodes I've done so far and share the responses back to back with you. I hope you enjoy getting an extra dose of good during your holiday season. I will be back in the new year with brand-new episodes!
Traveling Tooth Fairies
Episode 18
mardi 10 décembre 2024 • Duration 19:53
The Traveling Tooth Fairies is dedicated to providing no-cost dental care and education to students in grades K-8 in Nashua, ensuring that every child has access to vital oral health services. By offering evidence-based treatments—such as screenings, guided tooth brushing, sealants, protective restorations, and fluoride applications—directly in schools, we aim to eliminate barriers to care and create a nurturing environment that supports children's health and learning.
I'm so glad this organization was brought to my attention. Oral health is often overlooked but is an important part of overall health. My guest, Myra, talks about this and shares the amazing work that Traveling Tooth Fairies has accomplished in a short time.
