Dee tells us all about their MA in gender, sex, and sexuality at Birkbeck, and the complexities of looking back at gender diversity in history. They and Hannah talk about why it’s important to feel free to try or change labels, and Dee’s relationship with the labels trans and non-binary. Dee discusses how masturbation as a non-binary person allows them to to explore their own sexuality and pleasure divorced from genitals and how sex toys can be really gender affirming within sex by allowing them to explore different roles. Finally, Dee and Hannah chat about non binary relationships and what it’s like coming out and transitioning whilst in a previously cis het relationship, and Dee gives advice about how to help guide your partner to being gender affirming in your relationship and in sex.

Charlie talks about growing up in Navajo Nation, exploring her queer and trans identity as an Indigenous person, and the misconceptions that Navajo Nation is very inclusive of queer and gender diverse people. They also talk about Two Spirit identity, an identity specific to Indigenous cultures in North America, and the impact settler colonialism has had on the acceptance of queer identities in the Navajo Nation. Charlie and Hannah talk about the accessibility of sexual health care for Indigenous people and people in Navajo Nation, and the impact that the overturning of Roe v. Wade has had on Indigenous peoples specifically. Finally, Charlie discusses their work connecting with and supporting other queer and trans Indigenous people, the importance of honouring their ancestry while also forging the life they want for themselves, and what it’s like navigating trans communities as an Indigenous trans person.

Nathaniel also talks about being a straight, cis man working in SRE and why those who are part of the problem should also be part of the solution. Catherine Harry is a feminist vlogger and founder at A Dose of Cath, a channel that focuses on sex education, gender equality and cultural issues from a feminist perspective. Her channel has 1 million followers on Facebook. Asides from being a vlogger, Catherine is also an agented writer.

Named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2018 and shortlisted as one of Women of the Future Asia 2019, Catherine has been working to raise awareness on feminism and empower women to further the feminist movement.

When she’s not speaking in schools and making her vlogs, she’s an avid reader and a passionate writer who enjoys spinning tales in a way that’s never been told before. She’s also enthusiastic about environment causes and animal rights.

As an intersectional feminist, Catherine recognizes the challenges that women from different backgrounds have to overcome. She realizes that the feminist movement can’t be advanced without allies and support from other people, especially other women. With this in mind, she always looks for ways to empower women and inspire them to shine in their communities so that they can pass on the inspiration to more women.
