Tonight’s guest, Tom, has been investigating Dogmen and Sasquatch for 30 years. In all of that time, he’s had multiple encounters with both of those kinds of cryptids. Some of his encounters with Dogmen left him rattled, there’s no denying that, but he’d still prefer to have an encounter with a Dogman, any day, instead of having an encounter with a Gugwe. On tonight’s livestream episode of Dogman Encounters, Tom and I are going to focus on the Dogman encounters he’s had over the years, but we’re also going to talk about a Gugwe encounter he had too. Tonight’s guest wishes to remain anonymous, so I call her “Lynn” on tonight’s show. Lynn’s father has a farm in East Texas and he’s the one who introduced her to the reality that Dogmen are extant. After talking with her dad about them, Lynn is under the impression that he just might have an arrangement with the Dogmen around his property. She just might be right about that. Lynn went from hearing about the Dogmen around her father’s property to actually having her first encounter there. On January 23rd, of 2023, tonight’s guest was riding his bike to an old campground that was close to the town of Greenville, Missouri. His dog, Sabot, was out getting his exercise too, running with. All of a sudden, Sabot took off down a trail after something. When Sabot did that, tonight's guest was hoping he could get Sabot back without much drama. What happened next was pretty dramatic, though. Tonight's guest, Bret, had a Dogman encounter, at a rest stop, near the Nevada/California border that was so extreme, you could almost make a movie about it. The encounter happened on September 28th, 2016, and what made the encounter so much more traumatic for Bret was the fact his dog, Murphy, was with him, at the time. Murphy wound up playing as big of a role in the encounter as Bret did, if not a bigger part. If not for a group of altruistic bystanders, Bret might not be here today. Thank goodness, he is!

In 1991, tonight’s guest, Keith, had his first exposure to Dogmen. At the time, he was on summer break, after his junior year of high school, and had gone over to his dad’s house, with a friend. After arriving there, his dad had an experience to share with Keith that had a profound effect on how he viewed the world around him. Little did he know, it wouldn’t be long before he’d have his, very own, encounter with the same thing his dad told him about see. The encounter Keith had was just the first of many he was yet to have, though. Around 10 PM, one night in 2008, tonight’s guest, Farris, was taking his future son-in-law home. At the time, Farris was driving his 2001 Toyota Tacoma. The truck had a 4’ lift kit on it. They were heading toward Powder Springs, Georgia and didn’t have any reason to think the drive would be any different than any other drive they’d taken, over the years. Tonight’s guest, Kai, was featured on Episode 381. On that show, she told us about the first Dogman encounter she had and several other Dogman-related experiences she’s had, over the years. Since that show aired, she’s had new experiences and that’s what she’s come back to talk about, on tonight’s show. You see, not far from her home, there’s a lake called Pearl Lake, where strange things have happened and continue to happen. Pearl Lake and the surrounding area are beautiful, but there are things about the lake that just don’t feel right. Vagrants who stay close to the lake never do so in small numbers. They never camp there alone or if there are only a few of them. Also, there aren’t any game trails leading to the water’s edge. That calls to question why animals, in the area, don’t frequent the area around it. Whenever you go there, it always feels like you’re being watched. In fact, the area around the lake is so creepy, Kai’s dad refuses to camp there. Unfortunately, Kai and her husband, Will, found out what the secret is, on a camping trip they went on by the lake. Tonight’s guest, Adolf Santistevan (he goes by the nickname A.D.), used to love to go camping, hiking, and spending time in the mountains. After having the experiences he’s had, however, he no longer enjoys doing those things. If you listen to tonight’s show, you’ll understand why he’s lost interest in doing those things. A.D. has camped in some very remote places, but now he insists on being home before nightfall. One of the reasons why he can’t do a lot of the things he used to love doing is an experience he had while he was looking for Sasquatch prints, at a place near Pine Flat Dam, in Fresno County, California. He had gone there, that day, with a Sasquatch researcher, named Allen Thomas. After arriving at there, A.D. Told Allen that he was going to check out a place, next to The King’s River, where there was a dirt road. Knowing the dirt road would be a great place to look for prints, A.D. was excited about what he might find when he got to it. Sometimes, there’s a price to be paid for not watching where you’re going, in the wilderness. You never know what you might walk up on, if you’re not careful. That was a hard lesson A.D. learned that day.

In 2017, tonight’s guest, Javier, and two of his friends, heard about a family of Sasquatch that had been seen around Avocado Lake, which is about 15 minutes north of where they live, in the Central Valley of California. Tonight’s guest, Liz, has had a phobia of Werewolves since she was 5 or 6 years old. You see, when she was around that age, her brother would play cruel jokes on her that caused her to be terrified of Werewolves. It’s a fear Liz carries with her to this day. Of course, when you fear something that really exists, it’s understandable to most people. When you fear something, like Werewolves, that aren’t supposed to exist, however, most people find that fear to be pretty ridiculous. After all, everyone knows that Werewolves don’t exist, right? Well, what do you do when you’re terrified of Werewolves and find yourself just feet from what looks just like one, on a remote country road? Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to Liz. For some time now, I’ve noticed a pattern. People who’ve had near death experiences seem to be more likely to have Dogman encounters than people who haven’t had an NDE. What’s behind that, I don’t know, but there definitely seems to be something to that. Tonight’s guest, Chadwick Cooke, suffered a bad fall and, consequently, wound up having an NDE, on Superbowl weekend, of 2014. Was the NDE he had responsible, in some way, for the Dogman encounter he wound up having? There’s no way to know, definitively. All we can do is guess. We hope you’ll tune in and listen to him chronicle, not only, his Dogman encounter but his NDE as well.

Tonight’s guest wants to remain anonymous, so I’m going to call him David on tonight’s show.

If you think countries like Portugal and other countries in Southwestern Europe are Dogman free, you should listen to tonight’s show. You see, with over 30 nights spent camping out, in the wild places of Portugal, “David” used to think there were no large predators to be found in his country. Late one night, however, in the middle of nowhere, he learned otherwise. You see, late one night, when he was in college, he left a concert and got lost way out in the countryside. He thought he’d be able to navigate his way home from the concert, but he took a wrong turn and wound up walking miles out into the countryside. Finally, after walking for hours, he finally admitted to himself that he was lost. He was lost and alone. About then, he caught movement, in a nearby tree line, out of the corner of his left eye…

Tonight’s guest, Mike Colontonio, is an Army veteran who, unfortunately, suffered PTSD while he was deployed in Afghanistan. After coming home, he tried various things to occupy his time, in hopes that would help him deal with the trauma of his deployment. Finally, he settled on spending time in the woods. At first, nothing unordinary happened on the almost daily trips he took into the forest. Then, after some time, he had his first Sasquatch encounter. Not long after that, he had another and then another. It would be a stretch to say that he formed a bond with the Sasquatch he had multiple encounters with but, at least, one of the Sasquatch he’d seen, several times, must have felt some sort of connection to Mike. That’s because that Sasquatch saved Mike from a Rake/Crawler that, seemingly, was planning to attack Mike. If you want to hear Mike share the details of what happened, the day that Sasquatch saved him from that Rake, he’s not only the guest on tonight’s episode of Dogman Encounters. After he had that terrifying Rake encounter, it took him some time to get his confidence back, but he eventually got it back. When he did, he took a trip to the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. And that’s where he had his first Dogman encounter. That’s right. I said first, because he’s had several encounters now. Some of them mortified him too!

In late October of 2020, tonight’s guest, Will, went to his friend Brad’s house, about 6 miles from where Will lived. The two of them worked on motorcycles, talked about various things, and had a great time in the process. Around 11:30 that night, Will decided to head home, in his Fiat 500 Abarth. Being a nice night out, he decided to take the long way home, down some scenic country roads. While he was driving down Highway 11, his biggest concern was hitting a deer in the road. As fate would have it, he was about to have to contend with something much more worrisome than having a deer in his path, on the road. The moment he saw this huge creature, it focused its attention on him and charged!

Tonight’s guest, Dylan, is a cattle farmer who had his first Dogman encounter when he was only 9 years old. Luckily, that encounter wasn’t very traumatic, as far as Dogman encounters go. Since then, he’s had 3 more encounters. Each new encounter he’s had has been more intense and frightening than the one(s) he had prior. While it’s true that his third encounter was frightening, it doesn’t hold a candle to the living nightmare he and his friends were made to endure, deep in a Florida forest, late one night. That night, when he and his friends encountered a Dogman that was so big, it towered over a stop sign, things got so intense and frightening, one of his friends passed out from fright!

In early November, of 2019, tonight’s first guest, Brittany, had taken a couple of months off work, to plan a wedding recharge her batteries. She was staying with her aunt at the time, in Virginia. Her aunt lived in a very remote area, so it took a good amount of time to get to the grocery store. Brittany had gone to Kroger’s one night, which was roughly an hour trip, each way, and was heading back to her aunt’s house. Not long after turning off the main road and onto a seldom traveled country road, a pair of eyes caught her attention up ahead. To her surprise, she could tell that it couldn’t be a deer that was staring back at her. Deer wouldn’t have eyes that high off the ground. As she got closer, she could tell that the eyes were higher, off the ground, than a round bale of hay. They were higher than the roof of her truck! As she got closer, more and more details became visible and soon, she could tell that she was looking at something she’d never seen before.
In February of 2007, tonight’s second guest, Brandon, was sent home from work early by a manager who was standing in for his normal manager, due to his normal manager being out on vacation. A coworker was sent home early too and since they both lived close to each other, Brandon drove most of the way home behind that coworker. Brandon had been driving a fair distance behind the other man when all of a sudden, he saw him swerve off the road to avoid hitting something. Wondering what it was that had made his coworker swerve, like that, he continued to approach and soon noticed a large, black figure walking down the middle of the road, swaying as it walked. Little did he know, he was about to have an experience that was going to change the way he looks at everything.

Late one night, in the summer of 2018, tonight’s guest, Matt, was driving from Cushing, Oklahoma to the town of Bristow. He was driving his Dodge Challenger, delivering blood. He was driving through a very remote area, where the closest house was miles away. There was a partial moon out, that night, so he had a limited view of the countryside around him. Matt had been enjoying the ride, due to how peaceful the drive had been but that was about to change. You see, after rounding a curve in the road, he noticed a figure standing in a field, not too far from the road. At first, he thought it might have been a man but whatever it was, it was too tall to be a man. That made him start to wonder if it might have been a small tree. No. It wasn’t a tree either. Trees don’t do what that figure was about to do to Matt. Due to the encounter Matt had that night, he suffered from nightmares that just might have been more difficult for him to deal with than the encounter was, and it was a pretty intense one. We hope you’ll tune in and listen to him talk us through what happened. Before that night, Matt didn't believe in the existence of Werewolves. He has a different view on that now.

Tonight’s guest, Kirk Reed, is an experienced Dogman investigator who is also the cohost of the Abnormal Investigations Podcast. Kirk has had encounters while he was investigating Dogman sightings and at times when they weren’t even on his mind. One of the most intense encounters he’s had happened while he was sitting in his Jeep Liberty. It was brand new, and he had just driven it to his friend’s house, to show it to him, when the encounter happened. The next thing Kirk knew, he was eye to eye with a Dogman that had jumped over his hood. It was standing less than 30 inches from him, staring at him, intently. That’s not the only intense Dogman encounter Kirk’s had. Two episodes ago, on Episode 467, Trevor shared the details of his first 4 Dogman encounters with us. By the time he’d finished telling us about his 4th encounter, however, we were already at the one hour mark, so I decided to stop the show there. On tonight’s show, he’s going to share the details of his 5th and most traumatic encounter with you. His 5th encounter was the time a Dogman had him cornered in a cave and came to within 5 feet of Trevor. Trevor still has a lot of trouble talking about his experiences. He’s getting better, but it’s going to be some time before he’s able to deal with his encounters in a healthy way. With that in mind, he deserves a lot of credit for sharing his encounters, like this, the way he is.

Due to how I’ve edited the show, to hide all but one of the breaks we had to take while recording the show, it seems like recording this show was easier for Trevor to do than it actually was. Are you one of the listeners who thinks Dogman encounters are neat and you wish you could have one of your own? Trust me. There’s nothing neat about having a Dogman encounter. To illustrate my point, tonight’s guest, Simon, was featured on Episode 450 and on that show, he talked about the encounter he had in Judy Woods, in Woodside, West Yorkshire, England. When he had that encounter, he was taking a little dog home, from his friend Ronnie’s house, through Judy Woods. The poor dog became frightened when a Dogman made its presence known and ran off, never to be seen again. Well, about 6 weeks ago, Simon, his girlfriend, and his friend, Michael, headed back to the place where he had his first encounter. Unfortunately, they got more than they bargained for. The encounter they had was so terrifying, his girlfriend was committed to a mental institution, due to her inability to come to terms with what happened to the 3 of them that night. It’s been some time since I’ve spoken with an eyewitness who has been as traumatized by their encounter or encounters as tonight’s guest, Trevor, is. Due to how strongly affected he’s been, by his 5 Dogman encounters, understandably, recording tonight’s show was very difficult for him. In fact, we had to stop the recording process 5 times. On tonight’s show, Trevor is going to share the details of his first 4 encounters with you. When you hear what he’s been through, it should be evident why talking about those experiences is so difficult for him. It took a lot of courage for him to come on the show and do this and he deserves a lot of credit for doing it. He told me that his motivation for coming on the show was, he thought he might be able to help other Dogman eyewitnesses by sharing his encounters, like this. Before he could start sharing the details of his 5th and possibly most traumatic encounter, we hit the hour mark, so I decided to stop tonight’s show at that point. I’ll have part 2 ready to air July 14th and on that show (part 2), you’ll be able to hear Trevor share the details of his 5th encounter. When he had that experience, a Dogman had him cornered in a cave and was standing just 5 feet from him.

Tonight’s guest, Kaden Womack, is a 28 year old computer engineer who grew up in Juneau, Alaska. While he was living there, in his formative years, Kaden used to love doing all sorts of things in the great outdoors. Unfortunately, the great outdoors can be a very unforgiving place to be. That point has been driven home for Kaden on more than one occasion. You see, he’s had two encounters with Skinwalkers, one prolonged encounter with a Wendigo, at a very remote cabin, in the Rocky Mountains, and the Dogman encounter he’s going to talk about on tonight’s episode of Dogman Encounters. At 3 AM, on March 1st, of 2021, tonight’s guest, Dave Weigert, was sitting in his cabin, listening to music. It was a very windy night, so he could hear things blowing around outside. Suddenly, he heard a loud banging sound. Thinking that one of his trash cans had blown over, he put on a headlamp, grabbed his coat, and went outside to investigate. After going outside, he walked down to the end of his driveway and saw that his suspicions were right. His trash can was laying on its side. Luckily, his trash hadn’t spilled out of it, so the situation wasn’t as bad as he thought it was going to be. As he was about to find out, however, the situation was much worse than he ever would have imagined! What happened next left him so terrified, he couldn’t move. All he could do was stand there, frozen in place. As you’ll hear, that wasn’t the first encounter Dave’s had with a Dogman, at his property. Now, he thinks about Dogmen on an almost constant basis. If you listen to him share the details of what happened that night, you’ll understand why he does.

Tonight’s guest, Dustyn, is a medium who used to be a werewolf fanatic; borderline obsessed. He use to love watching pretty much any movie with werewolves in it and liked collecting werewolf and wolf-related things. Last Tuesday night, however, his infatuation for them came to a crashing end. You see, Dustyn and his best friend, Seth, had driven to a cemetery, that’s close to Grassy Creek, West Virginia, where Seth’s father is buried, so Seth could put flowers on his father’s grave and spend time with him. It was around 9:30 PM, foggy, and there was only a quarter moon out, so it was very dark. The cemetery is in a fairly remote location, so Dustyn and Seth were all alone. At least, that’s what they thought, at first. After the events that unfolded that night, Dustyn doesn’t want to even think about werewolves now. If you listen to tonight’s show, you’ll understand why he doesn't.

On Sunday, May 17th, of 2009, tonight’s guest, Mike Edwards, left his home in Crowley, Louisiana, with his faithful companion, Hunterbone. Hunterbone was a German Shepherd Mike bought from a local pet store, for $20. Mike left his house that morning at 5:30, with Hunterbone in tow, so the two of them could head to a deserted location 3 miles out of town and do some hunting. They left the house before the sun came up, so it was still very early when they got to the place where Mike wanted to hunt. It was foggy that morning and still dark out. To get to the spot where Mike planned to hunt, they needed to walk across an old, abandoned, train bridge. Due to the bridge being abandoned, it was in a very bad state of disrepair. A lot of the ties were missing from the bridge, so they had to be very mindful of where they stepped. They had gone some distance, across the bridge, when all of a sudden Hunterbone stopped. Not knowing what had put Hunter on alert, like that, Mike started looking around. At first, he couldn’t figure out why Hunter was on edge, the way he was. Then, an 8-foot-tall, demonic-looking dog creature stepped out of the fog, just 20 feet from Mike and Hunter. It had glowing orange eyes and its teeth were bared…

There was a problem with Mike's audio, toward the end of recording tonight's show, that caused me to edit out the end of the interview. That's why you won't hear his closing comments, on tonight's show or the last 20 minutes of the interview we recorded. It's unfortunate, but it happens, sometimes.

When tonight’s guest, Eric Baird, was really young, he was playing in a back bedroom that had been converted into a playroom, at his grandmother’s house, when a Dogman paid him a visit. The experience caused him to have nightmares for years after that. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be his last encounter with a Dogman. You see, Eric and his family lived right next to the Talladega National Forest, in Alabama. Being a kid who grew up in the country, when he wasn’t doing chores around his family’s property, his favorite pastime was spending time in the woods. A lot of good things can come from doing that, but a lot of bad things can also come from spending that much time in a huge forest, like that, where strange creatures lurk in the shadows. That’s a lesson Eric learned the hard way.

Tonight’s guest, Walter Ricci, is an avid fisherman. He loves nothing more than to head to a remote location, with his dog, where the fishing is good, and putting a line in the water. Well, on April 17th, of this year, Walter decided to try his luck at a very remote spot he’d never been to before. The place is called “9 Mile Cove” and it’s located on the shore of Lake Mohave, in Nevada. It’s such a remote spot, it’s a good hour, by car or truck, from the nearest town. After arriving there, Walter was surprised to see that he and his dog had company. At first the only unexpected company he had was the two women. Not long after that, he saw that another unexpected visitor showed up. It was a huge Dogman that was 5 to 6 feet tall, even though it wasn’t standing on its back feet!
