Night Shift is the first directorial efforts of one Ron Howard. Tombstone was the Disney film that almost didn’t get made in 1993. Kevin Jarre wrote the film and directed it for the first four weeks. He was fired and George P. Cosmatos stepped in to complete the film with Kurt Russell’s help. Russell portrays Wyatt Earp along side Sam Elliot and Bill Paxton who portray the rest of the Earp family.

It is about a retired Old West gunslinger, Eastwood’s William Munny who takes on one last job to support his children, aided by his old partner, Ned Logan played by Morgan Freeman and a young man, The “Schofield Kid.”
